I'm Bob. I'm the third shift IT technician at Acme Brokers. It's a good job. Okay, it sucks. I only got this job because my uncle is a broker here, and like I got a virus out of his computer once. I was studying business at State when this dude, Jim Bouchard, came to talk to us about the importance of staying in college, right? He wrote some book called Think Like a Black Belt, so he goes, I'm a two-time college dropout and former drug abuser. I go, like, what is this dude supposed to tell me about life, right? Anyway, he goes, someone with a college degree will make a million dollars more over their lifetime than someone who dropped out without a degree. Like, this dude dropped out, and he's doing okay, right? So anyway, he goes off about how tough his life has been, and how he wished he'd had a degree, like he's had about 2 dozen jobs before he started speaking and writing books. I just figure, like, I'm sick of the BS, and I don't want to be a Wall Street suit anyway, right? So, now I'm making $12 an hour on third shift, and my uncle says the only way I can be a broker is to go back to school and get a diploma. Maybe that old dude, Jim Bouchard, was right. You should have him come and speak at your college. He might save you, like, a million dollars. His website is thinklikeablackbelt.org.
