This is the greatest gift that was ever given to me as a martial artist, is this piece of philosophy. We often look at perfection as how— what's perfection? Has anybody heard this word? Well, I can't be perfect. Without mistakes. Without mistakes? Okay, who among you are without mistakes? It's impossible to do all those things. See, Master Ri, he said it, he said, "Human beings make mistakes." One of his sayings is, "I never make a mistake purposely." You see? Okay, make sense? We make mistakes. He said we're perfect human beings because we make mistakes. Human beings are supposed to make mistakes. Gods don't make mistakes. I don't know about you, but I don't want the job. Perfection is a process. We go through, as martial artists, we're constantly learning to to perfect ourselves. Perfection is not a destination, it's a process. A never-ending process. When we embrace that process and we're in the act of perfecting ourselves at any given moment, then as a human being you're perfect. That's what it's all about. That's our purpose in life. To perfect ourselves. You see? So that's how the whole thing comes together. You've got to keep the training going. That's the whole process of perfection, right?
