Find someone who has grieved and moved forward. Hearing them say crying daily is normal, that you're not broken, matters more than anything else. Shared loss is enough of a connection.

What advice would you give to someone who's currently navigating through their grief?
To find other people who have been through loss and maybe a little further away from loss than you are, so you can sort of anticipate a slightly different future than what you're experiencing right now. And especially people who seem to be resilient, who, you know, have had loss, but it's not like the first thing they're always talking about. I think when we seek out those people, it genuinely makes us feel more normal when they say things like, oh yes, I cried. Every day for a long time. And just to hear that and to know there's nothing wrong with you, you're not broken, you're just on a learning curve, and it just takes the time that it takes. So having someone that you can really connect with is important, even if that's really the only thing that you share in common. Just having that person to talk with, so important.
