Jim Kwik argues that people's biggest regret is letting others' opinions dictate their choices. He offers a framework: identify three important actions for your day, celebrate those wins, and commit to playing your A-game. Life is a brief dash, and what matters is the quality of memories you create.
Chapters
The biggest regret people have is they somehow lessen their life or didn't do certain things because of what other people would think. None of other people's opinions, none of our fears, none of it matters. What matters is how we lived, how we learned, how we loved, and work backwards from that. Create your great day from that. Like, what are the 3 things that are most important to me? How do I celebrate that? What would have to happen today in order for me to come back, you know, at night, somebody asked me how my day was, and I was like, I crushed it today. Today was awesome. Like, who's counting on you to play your A-game right now? The day you're born, the day you die, and that dash is long. All the memories and experiences you've had.
