Dean Graziosi argues courage isn't innate but chosen. He imagines an afterlife scene where you watch the bold version of yourself you could have been, held back only by fear and what others think. Start today: say yes or no to something right now and build momentum.

Courage is born, or is it more built? I truly believe it's manufactured. It's not me anymore. It's you. And you get to the end of your life and you get the chance to meet your maker. And they play you a video of the man or the woman you could have been, where you took bold action when you were scared. You went for it anyway. And you got to see the lessons, the ups, the downs, the living into the full potential. You knew you were meant for more, but you did it. But something held you back. Family, friends, not wanting to look silly, not wanting to fail. I think at the end of your life, if you looked at it, it was over. And you saw that, I think the only thing you would think of is, oh my gosh, I let that story stop me. I believe the only wish you would have if you had the chance to sit next to your maker is, could I go back? Could I make different choices? And what I like to think about is wish granted here today, right now. Today is the day you could say, I'm going to be bold. I'm going to be brave. I don't care that I failed before, I procrastinated before, or people in my life think this is different. That's not their vision. It's mine. It's like a pair of glasses. I see clear of the man I could be. I see clear of the woman I could be. You're here right now. Don't wait till next year. Don't wait till next week. Get done watching this today and make a bold, courageous action forward. Say no to something today. Say yes to something today. Whatever it takes, start the momentum.
