Does rest mean sleep? Rest is something you could do even when you're awake. It can also mean taking a break, practicing mindfulness, or simply doing something that you enjoy. A lot of times you feel burnt out not because you're doing too much. Sometimes you feel burnt out because you're doing too little of the things that make you come alive, that bring you joy, that help you to recover. When you give your brain a break, you allow it to recharge, to recover, and to rejuvenate. And here's the kicker, taking regular breaks can actually improve your executive functioning, improve your focus, your problem solving, your creativity, and your overall brain health, 'cause chronic stress could actually shrink your brain. So remember, it's important to prioritize rest just as much as you do your sleep. So reach, rest, and then repeat. Keep resting, keep learning, and as always, stay limitless.
