So each month our team compiles questions from all of you to do something I like to call Kwik Q&A. I'm gonna speed read through a lot of these responses and answer some of them very rapid fire. Why didn't you translate your book Limitless into other languages like Spanish? So our book has actually been translated in a few dozen languages. Spanish will be in the summer of 2022, so thanks for your patience on that. How Do you get through inferiority complex, or how can I get through inferiority complex? So I think belief in ourselves is very important. When I remember I was going for a walk and I saw a bird in the tree and it's very high up, and I have this exercise that I do where I pretend or jump perceptual positions, 'cause I like to see things from other people's point of view. I think it cultivates empathy and EQ, and I have this thing for heights. Because some of you know I've had a couple of traumatic brain injuries when I was a child, and they were really bad falls. And so if you see me on social media doing skydiving or zero-G, it's me just kind of facing my fears. Anyway, this bird up there is chirping, it's happy, it's very confident. And when I kind of was in their mind pretending, going through this thought experiment, I realized that it's calm and it's confident, not because it puts its trust in the tree branch, it's— It's calm and it's confident because it puts its trust in its own wings. And I think that's really important for us to be able to, to know ourselves and trust ourselves, to be able to love ourselves and also to be able to be ourselves. I don't think it's necessarily very easy. We all struggle with self-doubt, not feeling like we're enough. Some of you have benefited from going through our Kwik Confidence course. You can find it at kwikconfidence.com for more tips. And we'll certainly do more podcasts on this, but I would start with acknowledging how far you've come. That, do you remember that time where you didn't think you would survive? Well, you did because you're here listening to me and you will again. And part of it is not just trusting ourselves. It's— part of it is just falling in love with that person in the mirror who's been through so much and is still standing. And the questions that you ask will give you evidence. For your beliefs that you have. And so if you ask yourself, why can't I ever do this? Why am I not enough? Then you're gonna get those answers. And if you acknowledge the things that you have done and the things that you have accomplished and clear and transcend those lies, transcend, end the trance, this mass hypnosis through marketing and media that we're not enough, I feel like that's a great start. And so little by little, a little becomes a lot. How to be smart? I think reading 10 minutes a day is a great place to start. Read to succeed. If somebody has decades of experience and they put into a book and you can sit down in a few days and read that book, then all of a sudden you could download decades into days. So I would start small. If you're not naturally a reader, just read one line in a book or read one paragraph in a book because those little things add up to big things. And that's, I think it's the biggest advantage that you could have. You know, it's the quickest way to success is by role modeling and getting mentored by others. And if you don't have a mentor or a coach, Then go to the library and get a book. And there's so many, right now you have unfeathered access to the world's information. So I would say, how do you get smarter? It's not how smart you are, it's how are you smart? And so self-awareness, get curious in terms of your natural strengths, your natural talents, and we all have them. They're all important. So cultivate it, nourish it, 'cause what you nourish flourishes. 3 books you recommend. In what category? I love books, I'm an avid reader. I would recommend you go into our Kwik Brain Universe app because that's where I share the latest in terms of what I'm reading for that month, sometimes that week. And also post that question in our app because we have thousands and thousands of you around the world sharing ideas, inspiration, instructions on how to level up your learning and level up your life. 3 must-reads in the area of self-development: Mindset by Dr. Carol Dweck, Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor Frankl, Frankel, The Magic of Thinking Big. There's so many books, you know. The idea here is you don't just buy books and let them sit on the shelf, become shelf help, not self-help. Just read a little bit each day. Does watching reels on Instagram affect your brain? Yes. Make sure after you watch this to disconnect so you can reconnect. How can I be more confident in an exam? I will tell you, confidence is a choice. You do not have confidence, you do it. Just like you don't have focus, you don't have motivation, you don't have energy. You're like, Jim, that's the problem. I have no focus and motivation or energy. When you take nouns and you turn them into verbs, it gives you your power back. Sometimes we give our sovereignty, our freedom away to external forces when we say that I got to do this, right? I got to pick up the kids. I gotta exercise. I gotta read today. But you don't got to do it. You get to do it. You get to pick up your kids. Right? You get to work. You get to read today. You get to work out, right? And changing a small little word or even a letter, like the O in got to E in get, it changes everything. And so I would say, how do you become more confident? You start with your to-be list. You have a to-do list, but before you do, you have to be. So what's on your to-be list? And maybe it's to be focused. Maybe it's to be confident. Maybe it's to be compassionate. In fact, when you're facing a decision or dilemma, most people say, what do I need to do? If you're facing a difficulty, don't ask what do you need to do first? Pause and ask yourself, who do I need to be? You know, cuz if you're gonna be compassionate, the doing takes care of itself. You're just gonna do loving things, right? And the same thing applies to confidence, right? Remember the 2 most powerful words in the English language are the shortest. I am, because whatever you put after that, you know, determines your life, your focus. Make the choice. What is the main purpose of life? I think this is individual, but at a high level, I think the purpose of life is to live, right? We hear a lot about near-death experiences, and we don't hear a lot about near-life experiences, and that's the thing we all have in common. So I would be thinking about the most important thing is to keep the most important thing the most important thing, and that you don't find your purpose, you build it. So Expose yourself to lots of different stimulus, lots of novelty. See where your passion, your heart pulls you towards. Passion is, for me, is what lights you up, but purpose is how you use your passions to light other people up. My passion is learning. It wasn't always learning because I had trouble with it for a long time, but when I found my passion— my passion is learning, one of my many passions— but teaching people how to learn, that lights other people up, and that's the That's my purpose. How do you never stop being motivated? I don't think we have to be motivated all the time. That's my personal choice. But motivation has a very simple formula. It's just 3 things. The formula for sustained motivation is P times E times S3. P times E times S3. We talk about it in Limitless. There's a whole section on human motivation. To overcome procrastination, right? Many of you have seen the video online on social, on YouTube. If you search Jim Kwik procrastination, I'm in front of like a, have a 10-foot Hulk talking about how to smash procrastination. But fundamentally, P times E times S3. P is purpose. You have to tap into the reasons because with the reasons will give you results. And so if you don't have a purpose for working out, if you don't have a purpose for reading, if you don't have a purpose for working, You won't get the result. But maybe you have a limitless purpose and you're still not motivated. Check your E. E stands for energy. You know, when you're depleted and you didn't sleep well last night, or if you ate a big processed meal and you're in a food coma, you're not gonna be very motivated to do the things you need to do. So that's why we talk and we have so many podcasts, so many courses. Limitless book talks about the power of energy and how to level up your energy with the right foods. Managing your stress, how to optimize your sleep. And then finally, you could have limitless purpose and limitless energy and still not be motivated because you need small, simple steps. S3, small, simple steps. Some people are not motivated because this goal is too ambiguous, it's too intimidating, it's too confusing, and a confused mind won't do anything. So break down the things you need to do into small, simple steps that are very digestible. And so maybe it's not working out for an hour a day, maybe it's putting on your running shoes. Maybe it's not reading 30 minutes a day, that's maybe too big to stay your motivation, keep it sustained, break it down into reading one sentence, 'cause nobody's gonna stop at just one sentence, right? Little by little, a little becomes a lot. Jim, what do you do for fun? All right, so I believe that, you know, most people look forward to the weekends. And certainly weekends are really wonderful, but I've found it's been my experience, if you do what you love or you find the love in what you do, then you can add 5 days to every single week. And so my values in terms of what's most important, love, growth, contribution, a sense of adventure, a lot of things I do for fun gets me out of my mind. I mean, many of you know that I meditate and I do cold baths and I do the float tanks and those kind of things for my mind. But I think also a lot of what I do for fun gets me out of my mind. And so skydiving, you may have seen me do the zero-g gravity flights, swimming with sharks with no cage, going on safaris, playing with my dogs, you know, being around friends. I love geeking out over video games and movies, especially movies where they have the hero's journey. And so anything having to do with superheroes as a whole, it's a lot of fun for me. I'm curious, what do you, what do you do for fun? How do you become rich? Is education the way to get a good job? This mentality is a mindset, right? Some people— first, monitor your words. There's a difference between being poor and being broke, right? Broke is maybe a state of your bank account, but poor is more of a state of mind. And I believe that we do have an internal thermostat, and when we set up a setting or a temperature or a standard, then we could affect our environment. Everybody doesn't start in the same place. The truth is not everyone's equal. Equal in opportunity, equal in education, equal in contacts and network, equal in their pay and their salary. But what we are equal in is that we have the same 24 hours in a day, right? You have 86,400 seconds in a day, and I feel like the best thing we could always be doing is investing in ourselves, especially investing in our mind. That if you want your bank account to grow, then we need to grow, right? Right? Especially your brain. Because today, in today's society, they call it the knowledge economy. Knowledge is not only power, knowledge is profit. And the faster and more you can learn, the faster and more you can earn, because you are more valuable and you can solve problems. You could add value in ways that maybe other people don't add value. And so when it comes to becoming rich, I think we have to always start with the limitless model. Becoming wealthy There's a mindset to wealth. You know, when you think about money, what are your attitudes and assumptions about that? That's your mindset. Your mindset are the set of attitudes and assumptions you have about something. So some people think money is the root of all evil. Money doesn't grow on trees. All of these beliefs, some of them are BS, right? BS stands for your belief systems. They're limited ideas entertained. They're lies, a limited idea entertained. And so I would say first, check in with your mindset. Because you could learn a great method on how to make money or how to invest, but if your mindset is, I don't deserve it, or I'm not good enough, I'm not smart enough, we're still gonna be stuck in that box. So the first part, only 3 things you need to change, either your mindset or your motivation. How do you become more wealthy? Maybe you have a limitless mindset, but you're not motivated to go do the things you need to do. So check your purpose, check your energy, break things down into small, simple steps. We talk in the book about how to activate your flow states, how to develop routines and habits. And genius leaves clues. You know, I think genius is really pattern recognition, that the people who are really smart in the area maybe of wealth, they have filters, they have frameworks for finance, for earning, and for investing that other people don't have. Much like what we offer you are frameworks and tools and technology and methods around reading faster, right? There's a pattern to genius. There's patterns for people who learn languages better. There are patterns for people who are really smart remember names. There are patterns where people could focus on one thing and maintain high levels of energy throughout the day. And there's always a method behind the magic. And then finally, if it's not your mindset or motivation, what's the other key to getting, you know, creating more wealth is, are the methods you're using. Some people have limitless mindset and limitless motivation, but they're still not wealthy or even progressing because they're using old methods that aren't applying in today's current environment. Same thing as people using old methods for reading, old methods for for memorizing or studying. And so we want to upgrade. Do not shrink your wealth goals to meet the current situation, right? Don't downgrade your dreams to meet the current situation. Upgrade your mindset, your motivation, and the methods you're using to be able to meet your biggest dreams. All right, that's all the time we have for this quick Q&A. If you like this session, you want to see more, let us know. Share it. Absolutely. Make sure when you share it, you tag me in it. And as always, You know, every month we're gifting out copies of Limitless and other gifts as a thank you for being so engaged. And remember, learning, like life, is not a spectator sport. And so put this into action. Just knowing something doesn't make a difference, but when you implement it, everything in your life changes, right? When you do the things that other people won't, you can live a life that other people can't. Until our next time, be limitless.
