Jim Kwik explains intuition as the brain's way of using unconscious information to make better decisions, not mystical thinking or irrational impulse. Neuroscientist Joel Pearson defines it as a fundamental part of intelligence and innovation that bridges what your mind knows without knowing it knows.

How do you define intuition? When I started to do my research and converse with people from all over the world in different languages, I realized that we have so many different angles to explore this concept. On the opposite extremes, this definition that intuition is an irrational impulse we shouldn't rely on, over to being something voodoo that hasn't been backed by science. And then in between, I would see all these amazing rigorous research that shows how fundamental intuition is to our intelligence. We need good intuition to reason well, and we Without intuition, there wouldn't be much innovation. One of the ways that we could define intuition today, which I'm quite happy with, is a definition I take from a neuroscientist called Joel Pearson. And he says intuition is an effective way to use unconscious information to make better decisions and actions.
