Jimmy Kim describes a free deliverability test: send campaign emails to test addresses that match your audience's email provider split, then check where they land without opening or clicking them. This shows you inbox placement in real time and catches problems with links or copy that hurt deliverability.

at the ESP level and as someone who's been in deliverability, it's a free way to test. You know how you go into your audience and you can see like the breakdown, 50% Gmail, 30% Yahoo, all that good stuff. Number 10 is the number of email addresses you're gonna create. If I have 50% Gmail, I'm gonna create 5 Gmail addresses. I'm only gonna open them. I'm gonna log in. I'm gonna look at 'em, but I'm not gonna ever click on an email, open an email, or do anything with it. Right? And then what you wanna do is you wanna send those emails out. You wanna test them to those 10, and you're gonna notice some will land in promo, some will land in primary, some will land in social, and some might even land in spam box.
You have to do a lot of testing around. I think links is a good first one, right? Like, is it going to the website of the domain that you're sending from? What are the words? What's the copy of the email?
There's a lot of different ones that come into place, man.
