How To Do Online Events Right! Elisa Boogaerts & Joe Apfelbaum

In this live, interactive webinar Joe Apfelbaum and Elisa Boogaerts guide participants through planning, promoting, producing, and monetizing online events. They begin by building community (asking attendees where they’re dialing in, sharing LinkedIn URLs) and introduce their backgrounds—Elisa as a 16‑year project‑management and launch‑strategist for coaches, Joe as a veteran marketer with an Inc. 500 agency and LinkedIn‑Live expert. They discuss common challenges (lack of support, burnout, technical overwhelm, imposter syndrome) and outline the spectrum of event formats: short free webinars/masterclasses, LinkedIn Lives, multi‑day challenges, and summits. A substantial portion is devoted to promotion hacks: leveraging Facebook groups, LinkedIn DMs, calendar invites, Restream.io, JV partners, and personal outreach. Joe shares a “spicy” calendar‑invite hack that adds attendees directly to their calendars to boost attendance. Engagement tactics include prompting participants to self‑identify, share challenges, and interact via chat, comments, and giveaways. Monetization is covered through crafting compelling offers (reference to Alex Hormozi’s $100 Million Offers, Offer Lab, affiliate splits on recordings) and selling recordings. Elisa showcases a detailed event‑planning spreadsheet with 275 tasks, marketing calendars, and multiple trackers, while both demonstrate tool usage (Snagit for screenshots, Claude prompts, Evvy AI templates). Throughout, they encourage networking, ask for live actions (likes, comments, sharing links), and promote an upcoming LinkedIn Influencer Summit. Additional tactics covered include creative event naming, platform‑specific promotion (TikTok DM outreach, LinkedIn comment‑hiding work‑around), live social‑proof generation via gallery‑mode screenshots, gamified engagement (jazz‑hands), keyword‑triggered lead capture via comments/DMs, and leveraging live gratitude moments for testimonials. The session blends practical step‑by‑step frameworks with real‑world anecdotes, aiming to equip coaches and marketers to run successful online events.

Welcome. Let us know where in the world you're dialing in from as we admit all the people that are coming in from all over the world. Let us know where in the world you're dialing in from. This is how to make online events right. I hope you guys—
How to do them right.
How to do them right. If you guys are not doing them right—
Recording in progress.
This video here, this class is going to teach you how to do them right. If you're interested in doing them right, you're at the right place. So let me know what city you're dialing in from. We have people from all over the world dialing in. We're expecting many more people. We have a really, really, really nice crowd of people that are already here. People from Phoenix, from Ohio, from Australia. You made it back to Australia, Sherry.
I did. I made it back to Aussie. I'm back and almost over the jet lag.
Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. Amazing. Thank you so much for joining us. You're such a hoot.
Pleasure.
That's what it says inside your cup, by the way, in case you didn't know. Hoot hoot. Isn't that cute? That rhymes with hoot. All right. I'm curious to know how many online events have you hosted in the past year? Is it 1, 0, Many, a few. How many of them have you hosted? Because a lot of people that hear, let us know in the chat if you've hosted any. A couple people said zero, one said one, a few, many. So even if you've never hosted an online event, this is the perfect place to be at because we're gonna show you different ways to be able to host online events. And by the way, this is a little meta. We're in an online event right now. We're in an actual online event right now, right, Elisa? We're in an online event. I'm gonna— this is so serious that I gotta put on headphones. We're in an online event right now, and we have almost 2 dozen people here live, which is impressive because me and Elisa just came up with the idea for the online event. I don't know, what was it, last weekend? And we sat—
2 weeks ago.
And we sat down and we're like, listen, we gotta make a landing page. We gotta get this thing up and running. We gotta come up with the ideas for what to talk about. And boom. So if this is your first time seeing me and Elisa present together, put a 1 in the chat. If you've seen us present together in a different lifetime, put an 8 in the chat. I'm curious to know. Put a 1 in the chat if this is the first time you're seeing us together. Um, so me and Elisa have been talking about doing an event for a while, but actually pulling the trigger and doing an event is a completely different thing than talking about doing an event. So I'm gonna allow Elisa to first introduce herself, tell you a little bit about her background, Then I'll tell you a little about my background, and then we're going to get into all the different things that we have to offer for you guys today. So I'm really, really excited. And make sure that you're engaging in the chat. If you just joined us, let us know what city you're dialing in from. And if you happen to have your LinkedIn profile handy, this is a really great way to make a couple of new friends. So go ahead and just put in your, uh, your LinkedIn URL. It usually starts with linkedin.com. /in/ whatever your LinkedIn is in the chat. And this way you guys can connect with each other while we're here, because that's a great, a great way to, to expand your network and build relationships is to connect with each other and, and get to know each other by viewing each other on LinkedIn. So thank you all for joining. Elisa, take it away. Introduce yourself.
Hey everyone. I'm gonna put my LinkedIn chat, my LinkedIn in the chat as well. I'm here and I'm gonna spotlight us while we are chatting. Yeah, so hi everyone, I am Elisa Bogarts. I help established coaches launch their online programs and events and I help them do it with more ease so they can really focus on scaling their business. And yeah, I wanna thank Joe for collaborating with me on this. We actually, yeah, met over a year ago on the Marketers Cruise and I saw really just how engaging Joe is and how he really comes from a place of service, so thank you, Joe, and thanks everyone for being here today. I'm super excited that you're here and we get to work with you over the next hour. So yeah, I've been in the project management industry for over 16 years, and that's really what I bring to my clients. It's that organization, the structure, the really detailed planning, which I'll show you a bit of that detail a little bit later, and the coordination of a team to get them launched, to get them doing events and launching their programs. And I've seen all of my clients get more, 30% or more of people show up to their events because of all that structure and organization. But when I first became a coach, I very much hid. I didn't make myself visible. I didn't like selling, and I was very much stuck in perfectionism. And I didn't want anyone to know how they could work with me, which is hilarious. You can't have a business if you don't tell people how they can work with you. And then when I finally did my first launch, I had nobody show up to my masterclass. And I don't know if anyone here is vulnerable enough to say, has anyone here had any no-shows? You're willing to admit it?
Yes, absolutely.
It can be a bit devastating and you're like, what do I do now? I remember messaging my coach being like, do I have to be here? And he was like, use it as a practice session. So that I did. But I really used that to improve my processes and I put together an amazing plan so that nothing would fall through the cracks. And as a result of that, I've had conversions, better conversions on all levels of my own launches. And then this really was what led me to being a launch strategist and a project manager. So yeah, that's me. Joe, why don't you tell them about you?
When I met Elisa, I realized right away that she's really an expert at producing events. She's like a real expert event producer. It's hard to find someone that knows how to put together events. You know what the worst, the worst thing about no one showing up at your event? Does anyone know about the worst thing? What's worse than no one showing up about your event? Anyone want to guess in the chat? Tell me what's worse than that. Not 3 dozen people showing up your event. Somebody's like, nope, not having an event. Okay. No, you know what's worse? Exactly. John hit it on the head. What's worse than one, than no one showing at your event is one person showing up. So I remember when I put my first webinar together, This was maybe 16 years or 15 years ago. I did a webinar and all of a sudden one, like one person showed up. I first, no one was gonna show up. I was like, oh good, I could just turn it off and we're done. I don't have to do this. Then all of a sudden one guy showed up and I was like, holy crap. And so that at that point we use a, a tool called GoToWebinar. So I've been, I've had a marketing agency for the past 18 years. We've been on the Inc. 500 as one of the fastest growing companies in America. So I'm really good at marketing. That's like my thing. But then I got really good at networking and relationship building. And one of the things that I realized is like, wow, webinars work really, really well. But I had GoToWebinar at that point. So you couldn't see who else was in the room. So during that webinar that I did, I made believe there was a bunch of people in the room. I felt like a total failure for like making believe. But you know when I felt like a massive winner? When that person was engaging with me the entire time in the chat, as if there was a crowd of people engaging. And that person ended up becoming a client that spent $5,000 a month with my agency. I also had the recording of it. Go ahead, Elisa, you're going to say something?
No, I was just saying nice.
I also had a recording of it. And then I used that recording of the webinar and I sent it out to all the attendees of the trade show. 'Cause I did, I did a webinar about a trade show. I had someone like, dude, if you're going to go to a trade show, do a webinar about how to prepare for the trade show. And I ended up doing a webinar for how to prepare for that specific trade show. It was like a kosher trade show in New Jersey. And I ended up sending the replay to all the attendees, to all the exhibitors. There were like 250 exhibitors and a couple watched it. And I ended up closing a couple more thousand dollars a month from the people that watched the webinar replay. So it's like crazy. You don't even know what's going to happen when you put stuff out there like that. And you just need one client. You know what I mean? You don't need 1,000 clients from a webinar. If you're willing to spend an hour with somebody doing a demo or a pitch deck review, you should be willing to spend an hour in front of 40 people or one person or 7 people. But it's more about getting the practice. And since then I've done thousands of these. Like I'm always, like you saw just last year alone, I did over 200 LinkedIn Lives and the year before I did over 200 LinkedIn Lives. So for me, being natural on this was not a natural process. I was terrified at the beginning, but having somebody on my side like Elisa to be able to do all the tech, to be able to do all the production is necessary because I'm just showing up. You know, of course I promoted it like mad. And by the way, I'm curious to know where in, where did you guys find out about this webinar? in order for you guys to show up here. And next week we have a webinar, a summit, we call it a summit. So there's lots of different types and Elisa's gonna talk about the different types of stuff and the biggest mistakes people make. But last, uh, next week we have an event called the LinkedIn Influencer Summit. Tiffany said, I'm here because of Elisa, but let us know how you heard about it. Did you hear about it on WhatsApp? Did you hear about it on email? Did you hear about it on LinkedIn? Are you on LinkedIn Live right now or Facebook Live watching this right now? Are you on Twitter Live? Are you on YouTube watching this? How did you hear about this? The cruise WhatsApp, LinkedIn. You see, from an email, from schools, from, from my calendar. Someone's like, it just appeared in my calendar on Outlook. It's crazy. So there's so many different strategies to get people. And today we're going to share some hacks. I'm personally going to share some hacks on how to get people here. Elisa's the expert in making sure the event happens right. That you have the right tech, that you have the right production, that you have all the things that you need in order— the project management to get it done. And I'm the expert at bringing people to an event and making sure that we have my favorite— by the way, my favorite number, there's 44 participants. 44 is my— what's your favorite number in the chat? Let me know what your favorite number is. I'm curious to know if you have one. I know, Elisa, yours is 33, right?
Yeah.
Is it 33? Mine is 44. Put your favorite number in the chat. Evan Messman is here. Evan Messman holds our accountability meeting every Tuesday at 5:00 PM. He's a number 9, so amazing. Okay, so go ahead, Elisa. What's the next thing on this?
Yeah, we wanted to talk about some of the biggest challenges that we see that people face with online events. And from my side, I find that they don't hire help. So I work with a lot of coaches and they have a VA. And so when they go to launch something or plan plan a big event, they put a ton of all this additional work onto their VA. And when this happens, I feel that people get overworked, they start to burn out, and then this is when mistakes happen. And then everything kind of becomes this chaotic rush, which can allow for even more mistakes. And then the knock-on effect of that is that the coach gets way too deep into the weeds of their business. They can start to micromanage because they see the mistakes and they start kind of stressing out about that. And they're doing all of this while still serving their existing clients because they usually have a program going and they're busy promoting their event, which takes a lot of time and energy. So all of this can be really exhausting. And then they show up to their event that way. And who wants to buy from an exhausted, possibly burnt out, slightly on edge, maybe a little bit grumpy So I don't— so yeah, hiring a team to really help you with all of that so that you don't have to do it. I think, yeah, that's one of the problems that I see. How about you, Joe? What's the biggest challenge that you see?
I think the biggest challenge from what I see from my clients is having a person to help you run the event and plan the event because a lot of people don't even know. Like I did an event this morning. I don't know if any of you guys were there. I mean, I think some of you guys were at the event I did today about how to do a LinkedIn Live. And one of the biggest problems I see people is like, what should my event be about? Or I have imposter syndrome. Like, who am I to run an event? Or people are like, I don't even know the technical ability of how to even do an event. Like, what, what, like, how do you, how are you supposed to like make a landing page and then a Zoom registration and an email sequence? And I'm like, my brain's gonna just, I'm gonna bang my head against the wall. And then even if I get everything set up from my tech perspective and my strategy perspective and all that stuff, Then how do I get people to show up? Like, how do I, how do I literally, I do an event and I'm afraid that no one's going to show up. And that's why people would rather just not even do the event because they're afraid people are not going to show up. And so there's so many different moving parts. And I love what you touched on, Elisa, about, you know, not, not being able to show up. The reason why me and Elisa are able to kind of show up here and be fully present with you and even engage with you in the chat is because we're following systems and And processes to be able to do this. So if you want systems, just write, I want systems in the chat. And we're gonna share some systems. We're gonna show you some different ways to do events. But I'm curious to know who here wants a framework for doing an online event, right? Because this is why we're here, aren't we? We're here to do online events, right? And I follow a framework of specific framework of engagement that I've learned from some other major coaches. I spent a lot of money getting coached and going to masterminds and trainings to be able to get to this level. But you guys are gonna be able to capture some of that today. So Elisa, what are some of the other, you know, some people are like, okay, what types of online events are there even that exist? Like, what are you seeing with your clients?
Yeah, there's, there's quite a few different ones. Um, but one that's kind of like the most common is a sort of shorter free event. So something that's between like 45 minutes and 90 minutes. This is like a webinar like we're doing. Um, also be called a masterclass or workshop. I see all these words kind of get interchanged. I know that some people have very distinct definitions as to what each of them are, but in my mind, they're all kind of like more of a short free event. And like Joe was saying earlier, one that he likes to do is LinkedIn Lives. And so he was teaching about that this morning. Joe, do you have anything you wanna say about LinkedIn Lives?
Yeah, I just wanna say that if you guys are not doing LinkedIn Lives on a regular basis, you're really missing out on, on an opportunity to be able to get out there in front of people. I don't know if you guys know this, but LinkedIn is the world's largest professional social network. I'm curious to know how many followers you guys have on LinkedIn. Did you know that when you go on LinkedIn Live, automatically your followers get notified that you're on LinkedIn? What software do you use? I use Restream.io. Restream, R-E-Stream.io. It's free to use for one channel. And if you want to connect your Facebook, Instagram, a bunch of other channels, then you can pay $16. It's really, really affordable. So look at this. Evan has how many followers? Evan has over 10,000. Philip has 3,000. Alan has 20,000. Imagine this. You're looking to get people to come to this thing, right? To, to your event. And we have almost 50 people here, but how many people are watching on LinkedIn? How many people are watching on YouTube? How many, how many algorithms is this going into, whether it's ChatGPT, or Claude or Perplexity or like now all these different places are able to access me and Elisa. And later if you search Elisa Bogarts and Joe Apfelbaum on Google, you're gonna see this event come on the first page of Google and you're gonna be like, holy crap. If you search how to make events right, online events right, this is gonna come up in ChatGPT. So it's like insane why I, you know, Elisa, it's so insane why I love LinkedIn Live so much.
Yeah.
It's because it's, it have a built-in audience, you know? Yeah.
Yeah. And you know, they can, they don't have to be so serious as well. You know, I've done LinkedIn Lives where it could be like a little 10, 15, 15-minute thing. And I think that's a great, we're going to talk about sort of ways to promote in a little bit, but, um, that's a great way to do it. So like if you, um, if you know somebody that they can do a LinkedIn Live with you, so you get exposure to their audience and exposure to your audience, and then they could interview you about, you know, an event event that you have coming up, especially if it's like a paid event or something like that. And it can just be like a fun chat where you just sort of talk about the subject and then, um, and then the— then you can promote the event or whatever it is.
I even— Elisa, what I also do sometimes is I just put on music and I work. I literally put on music and I work and it's my little online event and people want to watch me make calls or leave comments or whatever it is. Sometimes I'll just, you know, record Like for example, you ever went to Stonehenge? I think you went to Stonehenge, right, Elisa? In London, in not London, but like in England. So when I went to Stonehenge, I was so excited.
Oh, sorry, I'll mute people.
When I went to Stonehenge, I was so excited that I wanted to share it with everyone on LinkedIn Live. So from my cell phone at Stonehenge, I just went right on LinkedIn Live and people were like, he's at Stonehenge. And that was like a 5-minute LinkedIn Live. It wasn't even that long. But people were so thrilled to see me on LinkedIn Live and LinkedIn literally promotes it. So it's really, really powerful. Elisa, what do you think about the difference between like a 45-minute event and then maybe doing a 3-day event or a 3-hour event or, or like a challenge? There's so many different events that you were telling me that you do for your clients. Can you describe some of the other ones maybe? Yeah.
So there's, um, yeah, like you just said, like a 3-day, you can have like a, I like to call them multi-day events cuz you can do like a 1, 2, or 3-day event. It's usually recommended to do a 1-day or a 3-day event, and those are like kind of bigger, have more, more things involved, more promotion, and usually have like guest speakers and sponsors and things like that. But it gives you a lot more time to really deliver a lot of value, a lot of content, have different exercises and things. Yeah, there's challenges. A lot of people do 3-day challenges or 5-day challenges, and there's a huge different variety of formats you you can have. Some people just do like, just email people what the challenge is. Some people do like a recorded video that they send. Some people do a live, like 1 hour a day or 15 minutes even. There's a huge variety of different challenges. And then we also have summits. And summits can again, can be a 1-day thing. One of my clients likes to do a mini summit where he only has 12 speakers and he does it in a day and it's like 6 hours long or even less. And, or you can have just like A panel type thing, or you can do a multi-day summit like Joe, your summit coming up. It's how many hours is it?
It's okay. So, so the summit that's coming up for us is called the LinkedIn Influencer Summit. I wonder how many people here are going. Say I'm going to the summit. Um, if you'd like to come, say I'd like to come. It's okay. Excellent. Elisa's coming. So if you're going, let me know that you guys are going. If you'd like to come, uh, tell me that you want to come to the summit. Just say I want to come and I'll be more than happy to send you the details of it. But the idea behind the summit is it's just 3 hours, but I bring together 8 of the top LinkedIn influencers. And the strategy there is that each influencer gets to promote the event to their audience too. So imagine a guy with a million followers, or imagine a guy with 300,000 followers, or imagine a guy with even just 70,000 followers. And he, each one of them promotes it to their audience. Say, hey, I'm gonna be talking at the LinkedIn Influencer Summit 2026. I'm so excited. You should all come and see me talk there for 15 minutes. 15 minutes. Oh my goodness. But if I didn't have someone like Elisa helping me be able to do the summit, it would be very, very difficult for me. So you do need to get help from people if you're going to do an event like that. I have Esti Starr who's doing the full backend of the event. She's amazing, but she doesn't do this for other people. She's doing it for themselves. Luckily, Elisa does it for other people, for coaches. So if you want Elisa to help you, say Elisa, help me in the chat, and she'll be more than happy to kind of set up a call with you guys. Uh, for whoever actually needs help to set up such a thing. But the whole concept of the summit, Elisa, is that it's 3 hours long and then we sell the recordings. Now, if you're an EvAI client, we give you the recordings, but for everyone else, we sell the recording. So it's free to come. We sell the recordings. And a lot of times there's an hour and a half spillover. Last year we had over 300 people that stayed for the hour and a half spillover, and over 1,000 people attended over the 3 hours.
Wow.
And we're gonna have over 1,000 people attend as well. So think about this. You do an event, you get 8 influencers in your niche, 'cause my niche is LinkedIn. I'm the LinkedIn daddy. And if you think, and then all of a sudden, like 1,000 people show up, but then many more thousands register. That's the idea. So somebody wrote, Elisa, help me. Elisa, help me. Elisa, help me. Amazing. All right. So Elisa, what's next on our agenda?
Yeah, well, the next thing. So we wanted to talk about, how to fill your events and like give some tips on that. We want to talk about engagement and monetization. So we're going to go through now and talk about these sort of 3 things and give you some tips, and Joe's going to give you some hacks on all 3 of these things. So let's start with filling your events.
Okay.
And one of the things I like to do, that is to— there's like some Facebook groups that I'm a part of that allow you to promote. They'll have like a day where they say, hey, this is the day that you're allowed to promote your event or something like that? And so I actually did it yesterday with JB Directory. They went into their Facebook group and they said on Wednesdays you can promote your event, and then actually went to their networking event where I promoted it there as well. And the people who organized it was like, oh yeah, you're doing that with Joe, I saw you put it in our Facebook group. And so it really gives lots of nice exposure. So yeah, I recommend going through your Facebook groups. I mean, I'm in hundreds of them, so it took a while to do this. Because some of them do not allow promotion, so you definitely want to respect that. And some of them say you can do it like on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. So make a little list of the groups that you can promote in and put what day you can do it so that when you're doing an event, you can just pop it in there and get exposure to their community.
I love that tip. You know what I like to do? I like to message people on LinkedIn and just say, hey, I'm doing an event with Elisa next week about how to do online events right. Do you do any online events? Would you like to be my guest? A simple question like that. I'm not throwing the event in their face. I'm not even telling them exactly when it is. I'm just asking them if they, if they want to come, if they even do online events. And a lot of people are like, yeah, I want to come. I want to come. I want to come to the event. I love the idea of coming to the event, but I can't make that time or I can't make next Thursday. Could you do me a favor and send me the replay? So not only do you get people that are interested, That can't come, you'll get people watching the replay for a long time. You'll be able to monetize it that way as well. So that's one way. If you guys are not sending DMs to people, but doing it the right way, I believe in a framework called the greeting, feeding, and meeting framework. When you're trying to get people on the phone or trying to get people to do something, you can't just go and tell them, hey, promote, promote, promote, promote, because people get annoyed. Even if they wanted to come, you already put a bad taste in their mouth if you just promoted at them. But if instead you kind of like, you know, when I met Sherry, the first thing I said to her was not, do you want to buy my LinkedIn training program? I didn't say that to her. I said, oh my God, I love your energy. Because I did. I love Sherry's energy. And then we kind of just floated around a little bit and then we separated and then we came back together and I was like, oh my God. And she's like, you're eating so much. And then we were just kind of like just having such a great time, just chilling. Right? And then the food was pretty good, but we were having a great time chilling. And then eventually she might say to me, you know what, Joe, can you teach me how to use LinkedIn? And I might say, of course, I'm happy to show you how to use LinkedIn because she came to this event and she learned, oh my God, Joe's a LinkedIn genius. He knows how to do X, Y, and Z. That's the idea. So DMs, Elisa, is very important, but using my hack, the greeting, feeding, and meeting framework is going to be key. Do you have another one or do you want me to give another one?
Uh, you can get another one and then I want to show them a list of different ways that Ooh, I love that.
Okay, so I'm gonna give you guys a really, really spicy hack. So write spicy in the chat if you want the spicy hack. I'm curious to know if anybody's into spicy hacks. Um, and Shuma says, Elisa, help me. I— do you have that list? Okay, spicy. Put some spicy. I like Mediterranean food and I like it spicy. So if you want some spicy habanero spicy, someone wrote. Okay, that's a little Mexican, but that's fine. Mediterranean spicy. Okay, like, uh, it's called— you have to— you need enough spice to go like Okay. Anyway, um, here's the spicy hack. You ready? You ready, Dr. Karen? Here you go. The spicy hack is people don't show up to events unless the event is on their calendar. This is the reality of it. So if you do an event, let's say a lot of people will do an event on LinkedIn and then they'll say, hey, I have an event. And people are like, I wanna come. Okay. So why do they wanna come? Did they put it in their calendar? If I wanna know your priorities, I don't look at what you want. I look at your calendar. That's how I know your priorities, right? And so there's a way that you can get people's email addresses when they say they want to come and just add them to the calendar, but do it in a private way where everybody doesn't even see each other. You know what I mean? And so that's a really great way to get people to come to an event. As a matter of fact, we went to the Soulful Retreat together and I'm doing an event next Tuesday and I invited 50 people to come. I added their email addresses. As a guest in the event, by the way, if you got an invite, write I got an invite, and that's the only way that I notify people about the event. I also put a little message in the WhatsApp group. For the most part, I just sent an invite via the calendar, and people can make it make it. So if you got it, just write got it. If you happen to have gotten that email, I'm curious to know if anybody's coming to the Soulful Retreat event that I'm doing on Tuesday. And by the way, so many people got it. That Mark sent me a message and said, Joe, we got to talk. That's how you know. That's how you know you're doing something right when the organizer is like, we got to talk. You know? So I made sure to buy a gold ticket for next year before our conversation.
So. Yeah, and I think that's so key because I mean, I live by my calendar. If it's not in my calendar, I'm going to forget about it. And sometimes I got four meetings at the same time, and then we do have little. I've seen people do things with calendars, you know, for those. send an email and you have like add event in there, for example, saying add it to your calendar or something like that. But what Joe is saying is he actually sets it up in his calendar and then invites you in that itself and actually manually enters in the emails. And I just think that's, that's so much better because then it just pops up and then they don't have to do anything. It's just there.
And it is a little spicy. It is a little spicy because some people are like, hey, why did you even send me an invite if I never agreed to this type of thing? So make sure that people, make sure that you're doing it in a way where you maybe know the people or the people raise their hands somewhere. The best— somebody asked in the chat, what's the best way to get people's emails? We have many different ways. At Evvy AI, we have a technology that does AI research and will scour the whole web and tell you what their emails are based on AI research that it does. There's 7 different agents that will research each one of the people on LinkedIn that you're even not connected to. But LinkedIn often will have people's email addresses. So I'll go to LinkedIn, click on contact info, and then poof, I see email and cell phone. I'll just grab the email from there and put it in the calendar invite. That's kind of like how I do it. But you said you had a whole list of links. Okay, go ahead.
Yeah, and you can also, like, for the people that register for your event, they will provide their email, right? When they go to your landing page, they usually have to give you their email. And so then you can take that of everybody that registered and plop them into a calendar invite. Yeah, so I do. So I wanted to, sorry, go ahead, Joe.
No, and also Kate said, while hiding the attendees' info from the list, it's important not to share everybody's info. So there's a little tiny checkbox under the emails that says, don't share attendees. I forgot what it's exactly called, but basically if you uncheck it, nobody will be able to see who the participants are of the event. So this way you're not sharing, let's say you're inviting 100 people, you're not sharing everyone's emails with each other. But again, make sure that there's an indication that they actually want to come to the event or that you actually know them before you invite them. Because if you do this too much, some, some, you might end up getting a spam thing and then your email gets in trouble and then blah, blah, blah. So you don't wanna just abuse this system. It's easily abused. And then, you know, you could, you can also block people from sending you invites if they send you too many invites. So there's a way to do that as well, but just be careful to do it in a smart way. That's all. But go ahead, share your framework, Elisa, or whatever you wanna share.
What I wanted to do is just show, I have this, um, like my program plan that I do share with all my clients. Oh, actually this is Evie AI. No one's ever seen it before. Joe's tool is totally awesome.
Oh, thank you.
So this is like my plan, like a very detailed plan that I have and use with all my clients. And you can see here, if you look at this row, it's like row 275. Like, that's how detailed that I get when it comes to planning. It's a lot of tasks. But when I first work with my clients, one of the first things I tell them to do is to engage their JV partners and have people help you promote your event and get exposure to their audience. And then we also talk about what lead magnet they have so they're always bringing new people into their world and into their tribe. And then I have a whole list here, which actually is about like 30 different ways that you can promote your event, some of which we talked about. And one of the ones I think is super important is speaking. You can have all your own stages, kind of like we have here. But yeah, booking and speaking gigs, I think, is a really good way to promote it. Because in that, when you're speaking, they usually allow you to give a gift. And if it's a free webinar, you can give that as a gift. Um, so yeah, lots of different ideas here. One that I use a lot is networking. I really love networking. That's kind of how I get a lot of my clients and get a lot of exposure and visibility. So yeah, tons of different ideas here. Um, and Joe talked about a couple of them— Google Calendar invite. And of course, you don't have to do all of these or any of these. You know, if you don't have Alignable, you could always just remove this one. If you don't do Meetup or Eventbrite, you don't have to. Like, I don't have a blog, for example. So, you know, these are just a list of ideas that Also always adding to as I, um, like speak with different people and they have cool ideas. So yeah, I just kind of wanted to share that there's lots and lots of different ways that you can, uh, promote your event.
So guys, here's another strategy that I like to use when promoting your event. Do you want me to tell you another—
I wanna get into engagement after this.
And then we'll get into engagement. Here's another one last strategy is if you have, let's say, 100 attendees or 50 attendees that said they're gonna come, Ask them to promote the event for you, to invite people for you. So for example, I'm doing the LinkedIn Influencer Summit and we have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people that are definitely going to come. So I'll email those people and I'll say, hey, could you do me a favor and post about this event? That would be really helpful for me. Or can you email your list about this event? And then people will want to email about the event. Now, especially if I'm offering an affiliate for them to be able to do this. If I can offer you, let's say on the recordings, 50% of the recordings, what do you have to lose? It's a free event. That's great information for your list. So you might want to become an affiliate. Do you get what I'm saying? So that's a very important thing to think about is leveraging the list of people that already said they're going to come and have them promote it. As a matter of fact, when you post about it on LinkedIn, what you can do is you can even ask people to comment on that post, which is really helpful. So for example, if you go to my recent activity on LinkedIn, go ahead and click on my recent activity. You'll see our LinkedIn Live event right there, which is the recording of this. So if you want to pay it forward, just give it a like, leave a little comment and hit that repost button there and do repost without thoughts. Don't even repost with thoughts. Do repost without thoughts. And this way, a couple of more people, maybe 5 or 10 of your connections will actually see that repost a little bit more. And other people will get the same value that you're getting just because you hit that like, you left a little comment, and you hit that little repost button. So when you finish doing it, write done in the chat so that we know that you did it. But Elisa, let's move on to whatever you said we were going to do next.
We're going to talk about engagement. And I don't know if you've noticed, but Joe is very engaging. So definitely a master at this. Um, and one thing I think I really like with engagement is like really showing your audience, like, how to do something and getting them engaged in it so they could actually do it with you. Like, Joe just got you to click a link and go and see how the LinkedIn Live actually shows up on LinkedIn, right? And not just sharing a bunch of whats. I think giving people a little bit of a how to do something. And yeah, that's what I love about— something I love about Joe and in all anything that he teaches and his webinars that he does, he actually, like, shows you how to do the hack meal. Hop into LinkedIn and show you how to do it right there. And then if you become a client of his, then he does this in all of his events, um, because you just get so much more than that. So yeah, what are your engagement tips, Joe?
So the number one thing you want to do is make it really easy for people to engage with you. This is the most important thing. So for example, Tracy left a comment, Evan left a comment, right? These people just said done. And I'm actually going to share my screen just to kind of show you. Um, and by the way, if you do leave a comment on the post, then we'll all be able to connect with you pretty fast. So if you go in here, I'm gonna go ahead and like my own post over here. Have a post that's ready to go that people can comment on very easily. So I see Tracy commented, Rick commented, you see that? And so if you guys all would take a moment and just leave a comment on this post, it'll make it very easy for all of us to see you. Like for example, I see Tracy over here. You see Tracy is a black belt, it looks like. Oh my God. Get more energy from your DNA. And so now what I want to do is I want to connect with Tracy. I want to build a relationship with Tracy. So what I simply am going to do is I'm going to click on more. I'm going to click on connect. I'm going to add a note because of course I want to add a note for Tracy. I don't want to just, you know, not send her a note. So I'm going to go ahead and write a little note for Tracy. I'll have Evie AI write the note and I'll press send. And the easiest way for me to be able to get Tracy to engage on my content or to engage on my events is for me to actually build an actual relationship with Tracy. That means connect with her and build an actual relationship with her and make it really easy. And here's the other thing. If you want engagement on your content, the best thing you can do is engage on other people's content too. So be a giver, not just a taker. So for example, I see Elisa engaged on her content, on Tracy's content. So Elisa basically does this for other people. She actually runs posting parties where she engages in other people's content. content to make it really easy for them to be able to leverage whatever she has to do. And I obviously, I say, hey Tracy, love the way you emphasize the baseline of heart health. And then I just leave a comment. What's one marker you're watching? And so, uh, I just literally put a little comment over here using Evie AI as a tool, and that helped me do that. Now, if we're talking about engagement within the actual event itself, um, let me stop sharing my screen for a second. Engagement within the event itself, I want you to think about 3 things. Number one is people need to self-identify who they are. Like, what's your location? Remember I told you guys where you— what city are you dialing in from? Whatever. Here's another thing. Self-identify who you are. What is your website? Does everyone have a website that you want to share in the chat? Go ahead and share your website in the chat. So I'm helping you self-identify and self-promote yourself in the chat. Or remember I asked you guys for your LinkedIn URL in the chat and everybody put it in. So for example, Rick just put the Clody Group. Nelson just put Inbox Geek. Um, everyone's putting their website in the chat, which is amazing, but this also does something for me that engages the audience, gives exposure to the attendees, and also helps identify themselves. So that's the first thing. Elisa, the second thing I like to do is I like to find out what people's problems are. So, uh, for example, I ask people, what's your biggest challenge with online events? And a bunch of people said what their challenges are. So if I want to shape my event in a way that can actually be useful to you, I need to know what your problems are, right? In Brooklyn, we say, yo, what's your problem, huh? Why are you looking at me, huh? What's your problem? That's what they say in Brooklyn. So that's, that's what's your problem. I need to know what your problems are. And then the third thing that I love to identify whenever I'm talking to anyone is who is somebody that I can actually serve? Who's an ideal client? So remember I asked you guys to write Elisa, please help me for the people that need Elisa's help, or I want the framework or things like that. And I'm gonna do one right now. You ready? I'm gonna do one for you guys right now. We'll see who engages with this one. But before I do it, I just wanna say, do you guys remember I did that? I did that very strategically because you don't just engage randomly and tell people, hey, what's your, what's your star sign? Are you single? Are you married? I'm not gonna do that. I don't need to know if you're single, you're married. I don't care. That's none of my business. If I was on Facebook, I would ask you that. That's— I don't care about that. What I care about is, can I actually serve you? Can I help you make more money? Can I solve a problem with you? And Who are you? Like, who, who are you? So here's, here's one. Check this out. Here's the one I'm gonna do right now. I created a course called the 99 LinkedIn Hacks. Okay? I created this course. It's 99 of the best hacks that I know from the past 10 years. Each video is under a minute each. Some of you have already watched the 99 LinkedIn Hacks and you love it. Some of you never even heard of it. Would you want to get 2 free hacks and and get $900 off the course. The course is $1,000. I'll give it to you for $99. It's, it's a preorder price that I forgot to remove the coupon code from it. So I still have it live and I give it to some people who are my friends. The rest of the people pay $1,000 happily 'cause it's so worth $1,000. But if you want the 99 hacks, just put 99 in the chat and I'll give you the special coupon code to get access to the 99 LinkedIn Hacks. Do you see what I did over there? By the way, this is a valuable course. I'm gonna give you 2 free. just for putting the word 99, and then I'll give you the coupon code to go ahead and grab the deal before I turn off the deal. But do you see what I just did over there? And everyone's writing 9999, 'cause who doesn't want those 2 free hacks? Who doesn't want those amazing hacks? So go ahead, Elisa. Those are the 3 tips.
I have one more for this meeting, actually.
Oh, really?
Amazing. One more on top of those, yeah.
Amazing.
Let's move on to monetization. So how people can actually monetize their events. And I think one of them is kind of like, in the same sort of vein that we've been talking about is like giving actual value that people can take away with them, right? So we know now like some things you can do, you can actually take away that hack that Joe said about the Google Calendar, right? You can give them something now and then they will trust that you can actually deliver, right? They can actually do what you say you're gonna do and that you do deliver lots of content and value to people. Because, you know, we know that there are some scammers out there. There have been some, you know, awful things especially sort of during COVID that happened. And unfortunately, I think that we need to show that we aren't one of them. And so if you really, and if you truly aren't, so give them value in this because we all know that you got to build that know, like, and trust, right? Which is one of the first things that people need before they'll even think about buying with you. So one of my coaches, Shiraz Baboo, he's great at this. He does a free event every month and he does belief shifting and he actually does the belief shifting right then And so you actually get a taste of what he does. You get to experience it. And like I said earlier, Joe does this too by actually showing you the exact steps you can do for your hacks. So, uh, yeah.
I totally, I totally agree. Monetizing is also having an offer. Some of you have an offer. Some of you need a better offer. So if you have an offer, say, I have an offer. If you need a better offer, just write, I need a better offer. And maybe people that have an offer could help the people that need an offer kind of get an offer. I'm running something for our clients called the Offer Lab. 'Cause I'm very creative with coming up with really good offers that people, that your target market will come up with. I, you know, I spoke to Elisa about multiple offers for her, for what she's offering. And I was sitting with one of my clients on the cruise, Sherry, and I totally blew her mind with the offer I came up with her because I'm very, very creative. Like my, I'm not good at finishing things, but I'm really, really good at being creative and coming up with ideas for things. And so I'm, as an activator, I'm really good at coming up with offers. So for my clients, I, I, able to come up with offers very quickly. And I also read this book called $100 Million Offers. Have you guys ever heard of it? Elisa, did you read $100 Million Offers?
No.
It's such a good book. I love it so much. And the reason I love the book, and by the way, check this out. I'm going to share my screen for one more second just to kind of show you something. I have something called templates and we give our clients many, many templates. So if I'm going to go in here to my recent posts and I'm going to click on Article Promo, I have a template here called $100 Million Offers Video. And in the comments of this post over here, I'm gonna drop the link to a YouTube video that's 90 minutes long that has the $100 Million Offers methodology. And the way that I was able to kind of drop it under that post is by, I have stored templates with hundreds of different resources that I share during these online classes, whether it's my online class or somebody else's online class, If somebody's like, oh, I want to learn this, I want to learn that, I'm sharing resources in the chat of things that are super valuable that are completely free. But at the end of the day, it helps, like Lisa said, it helps frame you as an expert and it gives tons and tons of value. So that video, that 90-minute video, I have no call to action on that. That's just straight value. That's 90 minutes of value. But maybe you'll go there and as a result of watching that video, you'll want to later Um, maybe subscribe to my YouTube channel. And then eventually when I make an offer like a 99 Hacks or 99hacks.club, you'll want to go to 99hacks.club and buy the 99 Hacks and get in the door. But the idea is whoever needs an offer, I'd love to help you with your offer. If you want to set up a meeting with me or my team, my goal is to book 5 demos of Evvy AI. Elisa, you had a goal as well. I forgot what your goal was, but you'll mention what you wanted to do as a result of this. But have a goal when you come into the event, have an actual goal for what you want to achieve. And as a result, you'll actually get success because how do you know what success looks like? Elisa, what was success for us? Like, what was like a big goal for us? Like how many people did we want to come to this that we would say that would be a great—
50 people live and we have 49.
So that's pretty close. That's pretty amazing. We nailed it, guys. Write nailed it in the chat if you think we nailed it and we're doing a good job in adding value. We're not here to sell you stuff. We're here to show you how to do an online event right. Because you know what? Even if you do one online event per quarter or even per year, it can change the game for you. It can open up the floodgates for you. It can give you leads that you've never had before. Online events have been transformational for me and they work really, really well. So Elisa, what else do we have?
Well, we wanted to step in next because 'Cause we wanna do some Q&A sort of the last like 10 minutes of it. But between now and then, I wanted to sort of just talk about how I sort of solved this problem and yeah, offer you something. And I know that Joe also too wants to offer some demos. But yeah, so I mentioned earlier that I'm a launch strategist and fractional project manager working with coaches to help them launch their online events to do it with more ease so they can really focus on scaling their business, but also doing what they do best, which is coaching. Coaching. And when it comes to launching your program and online event, I and my team are your backend buddy. We do the strategy, the plan, the tech, the production of the event. In this way, the coach can be out there speaking, selling, filling their events, knowing that everything else is sort of taken care of. Because I really believe that if you have the right systems and you have the right team supporting you, every coach can have a successful event and fill their programs. And, uh, so yeah, you got a little bit of a sneak peek of my program launch plan. So that was like one tab of that Excel spreadsheet. So I've got about like 10 different tabs in there, and it's the template that I use with all of my clients, and we go through it together and I customize it, um, for every specific event and launch that they have. And so we start, uh, with the keys to success, and this is about all the detailing of everything to do with their event— the purpose, the intention, the dates, the ideal client, the targets and really just kind of get it all listed out, all of the things to really help you be successful for that launch. Then I put together that plan. So you saw, they remember there's like 275 tasks. So we go through that and customize it because, you know, not everyone needs to do all 275. You can pick and choose the ones that you want to do. And, and I really like just to have all the options available, right, and have to have a really more successful event because depending where you are and, you know, where you are in your business, you may or may not need to do all of them. And then once we know the tasks, we can put the dates in it so we know exactly what you need to be doing every week leading up to your event. And then you gotta do the marketing calendar. So today we talked a lot about marketing and the things that you can do to get people to your event. So you want to choose the things you want to do and then schedule into that event, right? Because if you don't schedule in and you don't know what you're doing, you may not end up doing it. doing it. And then you may get close to your event and be like, ah, it's too late to do all these things. So you really wanna plan it out and have a good marketing plan on there. Yeah, and then there's like a whole bunch of trackers in there. I got like 7 different trackers so you can really stay on top of everything. So yeah, write the word template in the chat if you're interested in it and I'd love to know. Oops, we have someone in the waiting room. Sorry, Jean. Yeah, it really helps you keep on top of everything. Amazing, thanks for all the templates. Yeah. So, it's really like your one-stop shop for everything you want to do for your launch and for your event. And it'll help you keep on top of everything and your team on top of everything to really be more efficient and stay organized. So, you can implement it right away. So yeah, I'll put a link in the chat for it. It's $97. And yeah, you can keep track of everything and have your most successful launch yet. So, I'll put a link in there.
And it's an amazing resource. I highly recommend it. I used it myself. Completely game-changing for being able to help me, to be able to help me organize events. So highly, highly recommend it. It's very, very cheap compared to what her, uh, what she charges to be able to get that implemented. So I'm, I'm a very big fan of that template. And by the way, I just want to announce that we, we hit 50 participants. Damn, son! Damn, damn, son! Damn, son!
High five!
High five, high five! Okay, so in honor of hitting 50 participants, I have a new hack I'm gonna give you guys. Okay. I'm going to give you guys another hack. This is the hack. Imagine Dr. Karen threw balloons up. I love that. I love that. I'm going to, I'm going to share my screen for this hack, 'cause this is interesting. By the way, if you guys have a calendar link, put it in the chat so people can book meetings with you. 'Cause I would love for everyone to book meetings with each other. I'm a big fan of networking and relationship building. So if you do have a calendar, go ahead, put it in the chat. I'm going to show you guys a hack. That a lot of people don't know. And this applies not only to your event, but this applies for when you're going to other people's events as well. So this applies literally when you go to anybody's event, you can do this hack and it's going to help you tremendously. Okay. So you ready for this hack? But it looks like we lost one person. So what are we going to do now? We only have 49 people. We can't do the hack anymore. Okay. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. I'm kidding. I'm kidding.
Okay.
So check this out. I'll check this out. Check this out. So you guys can't see my screen. You can't see all my entire screen right now because I have multiple screens running. But I have, um, I have something that takes screenshots. Okay? So this is the thing that takes screenshots. Can you see it? It's called Snagit. So what I'm gonna do now is I'm gonna take a screenshot of the participants list. Okay? So I'm gonna go ahead and take a screenshot of the participants list. I'm gonna take the first half of the list that ends with Jennifer. I'm gonna press copy of the participants list, and I'm gonna go to your favorite LLM, whatever it is. Let's just say it's Claude. Okay? And I'm gonna paste the participants list into Claude. Okay, I just pasted the first half of the list. Now I'm gonna scroll down to the bottom and I'm gonna get the second half of the list because it's long. Sometimes there's 100 people in there, whatever. So I'm gonna do the second half of the list and I'm gonna go grab from Jennifer to Jocelyn. I'm just gonna do Jocelyn and down 'cause we already did Jennifer. So we're gonna do Jocelyn now. Okay, so now I have Jocelyn. So I have this over here, right? So I have 2 images that I copied and pasted into Claude. This works in Gemini, it works in ChatGPT. It works in Copilot, it works in Perplexity, it works everywhere. But I'm using Claude for the sake of Claude. Then what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go here and I'm gonna type in, uh, prompt, cuz I save all my prompts as templates inside Evvy AI. Okay? So I have a whole library of prompts and we give all these prompts to our clients, no problem. Um, so here I have something called the Zoom directory prompt. So I'm just gonna push this button in here. When I push the up arrow, the, the template goes right into here. It says, please create a numbered template. That clearly organizes all the dialogue provided in the image and the chat transcript. The template— the table should have clear columns, headers, first name, last name, message content, blah, blah, blah. By the way, do you guys want to, uh, put your cell in the chat as well? I'll put my cell in the chat because I love connecting people by calling them because I'm from the '70s. So if you want the table to include your cell, put your cell in the chat. If you don't want your cell in the chat, don't include it. But if you do, go ahead and include it. And then what I'll do is I'll I'll drag. What's a cell? A cell is like see where mobile phone number, a cell phone number, a mobile number. Yeah, from the seventies exactly. So now that you put your cell in the chat, what I'm going to do is I'm going to click on the three dots on the top right corner. I'm going to click on save chat, and when I press save chat, it says show in folder. Okay, now I get a little folder like this. You guys see the folder? I'm going to drag the chat from here to here. And then what it's going to do is when I press the up arrow, it's going to basically combine the 2 images and the chat and make a spreadsheet for me with all the information. Oh my goodness. How insane is that? That I'm going to have a prepared spreadsheet with all the attendees that actually attended the event, even if they came without registering and all the information in the chat, your calendar link, your LinkedIn URL, your website, the cell phone number, like all this stuff. So I strategically engage you to add stuff. And as my gift, I'm giving you this strategy and I'm gonna give you guys the prompt, but I'm gonna put the prompt as a comment in the replay that will want you to go and like and comment on the post. And if we get at least 25 comments on this post with the replay, then I'll go ahead and pop the prompt on. We need to have at least 25 likes and 25 comments. So now I'm incentivizing you to like and comment on the replay. Do you guys get what I'm saying? I'm incentivizing you, hey, I'm gonna give you this magical prompt that you could use forever and ever and ever and ever as my gift, but I need you to like and comment on it. And if you even hit that repost button, I might even do a profile roast on you, which means I will give you ideas for how to improve your LinkedIn profile.
So, um, just to be clear, so the replay is This livestream on Joe's LinkedIn. So you can go there and that's where you can get the prompt.
Exactly. So if you go to joelinkedin.com, it'll take you to my LinkedIn. You click on see all activity. You're gonna see this as a replay there. Go ahead, like and comment on it. We need at least 25 likes and 25 comments, and then I'll drop the prompt as a gift. So half of you can be lazy, but the other half of you cannot be lazy. So, so questions, if you guys have any questions, put them in. Um, what I wanna, what I wanna share with you guys, go ahead.
And I was just gonna say, were you gonna share the link to your summit next week?
Yes, I wanted to share the link to the summit next week. So the link to the summit, if you're listening, let's say you're in your car or somewhere else, it's influencersummit2026.com. That's influencersummit2026.com. If you guys can write about it on LinkedIn, maybe take a screenshot. Let's, let's do a gallery mode so we could all get a screenshot of everybody here. Um, that would be fun. This is another thing I like to do during online events. I like to put everybody in gallery mode, so we're gonna remove the spotlights here. Let me do remove spotlight, remove— no, it's fine.
You can just go into gallery mode.
I know, but I wanna remove spotlight for everyone so everybody sees everybody. So if everyone wants to take a screenshot now, everybody look at the screen real quick. Look happy, make believe you're happy. Can everyone please make believe they're happy for a second? Come on, just for a second. Here we go, look at the screen. Oh, you know what? Let's do jazz hands. Should we do jazz hands? You guys ready? Jazz hands! Amazing. Okay. Even, even Lance LaForte raised his hand. So I'm gonna get a screenshot of that. We got the jazz hands going on. Now I'm gonna copy the, I'm gonna copy the, the image and I'm gonna paste it in the chat so you guys can click on the image, save it, and then write a post on LinkedIn about the event that you just had. And then if you can mention influencer-summit-2026.com there and tag me and Elisa, we'll both comment on it if you guys tag us. And we both have thousands and thousands and thousands of followers. So make sure that you tag us and, uh, we'll be more than happy to comment on your post. And if we comment on your post, maybe all the people here will comment on your post and so on. So you'll get a ton of exposure just from doing that. So yeah, thank you so much, Juan, for putting the link. Juan put the link in the chat for you guys to register. It's completely free to join. The replays do cost money, but we do have an affiliate for whoever wants to join the affiliate for that.
Mm-hmm.
could hit me up privately about that, but I did post a link in the chat. So go ahead and save the chat. Okay. Questions. We have some questions. Elisa, somebody's— We'll both comment on it if you guys tag us and we both have thousands and thousands.
I think that was James.
Thank you. Thank you. Okay.
So if you have any questions, um, pop one in the chat.
So somebody said, what is the most popular type of event to do for newbies? Because this guy's a newbie and he said, Joe, I'm a newbie. What's the best type of event that I should start with? What do you think, Elisa, based on you working with so many coaches over the years, Producing multimillion-dollar events?
Um, oh, sorry. Someone's still muted. Um, I just would say, well, I think the free webinar is a good one because it doesn't cost you anything to get people there. And also people, um, like to help you promote the free, uh, like, you know, 45 to 90-minute class. Um, so I think that's really good if you can get like people within your community to help you promote. That is an easy way to get people there because you don't— it doesn't cost you anything.
So you can just, uh, And a quick hack for that, it's called naming. It's one of the things I got from $100 Million Offers. Some people call it a webinar. You don't have to call it a webinar. It's not as sexy. So some people will call it masterclass, mastermind. They'll call it online class.
Workshop.
Yeah, they'll call it workshop. They'll call it party. You know, I run posting parties. So does Elisa. They'll call it a party. So think about a creative name to call it something else where it's not just like, come to my white paper. You know, uh, anyway, that's, yeah, that's, that's the idea.
So Rick put a question in the chat. How long, how did you learn how to do this with Lisa, doing your own and working out? Yes. So, uh, well, I've been a project manager for 16 years, so I'm like very much like the planner organizer person. And so doing, so I got taught how to do launches and then I was doing my own. So then I created my own plan to keep myself organized. And then my business coach was like, you could sell that. And I was like, oh, I guess so. Yeah, the people actually could use this. So that's kind of how I did it. And then from there, I've just been iterating on the plan and adding things to it as I get exposed because people get taught how to do launches differently. So I'm always adding to the plan as I, you know, learn new techniques and things. So yeah, it's always being iterated on.
Somebody said, Joe, how can we be successful promoting events on TikTok? Okay. Well, I don't know if anybody has TikTok, but if you guys do have a TikTok, I recently started learning how to use TikTok. I met a woman named Alex on the cruise and she helped me come up with a new TikTok name. I was a little against it because I thought it was a little racy, but she said, you know what, Joe, you have to be a little on the edge on TikTok. And so she helped me make a TikTok and I put the link to the TikTok in the chat if anybody wants to check it out, but it's just me sharing LinkedIn tips. Um, but if you guys do have a TikTok and you want to share it, share it. The way that I think you get events from TikTok is literally just post on a regular basis and then invite people that like and comment via the DM. Don't invite people on the actual TikTok itself, but you can just, you can send messages to people that like and comment on your posts on TikTok. And those are the people that you kind of like invite in the backend, because if you start, if you start posting links and stuff like that, they kind of penalize you. So you gotta be a little careful when you're doing stuff on TikTok like that. On LinkedIn, you could be a little more aggressive, but don't put comments. Don't put links in the post. Put the links in the comment of the post. But what I recently started finding out, guys, is that LinkedIn started hiding comments that have links in them, which is interesting. This is something brand new that I just noticed last week. Has anybody else noticed that? So if you post a link with a comment on your own post with a link, and then you go to see. somebody else's profile and look at that post, that comment will be hidden. I'm going to announce this in the Influencer Summit. This is brand new, hot off the shelves. Most people don't even know this. I want you to test this out on your own profile when you're with somebody, Rick. Go meet with somebody, say, I'm going to put a post, I'll put a comment on my post with a link and say, can you look at it and tell me if you can see the comment? And you'll see it won't show any comments there for that other person. Isn't that crazy?
That's crazy.
So instead of doing that, what you could say is, You can say, "Please DM the word." Da da da da. And then they write the word, and then based on the word that they write, you can DM them or you can reply to their comment. That's why people are doing that instead. They're saying, you know, write I want the framework, and anyone writes I want the framework, and that will also add tons of engagement. And I saw Molly on the stage do this. She said, "Everybody go to my Instagram and look at the first pinned post and write I want the framework on the first pinned post." And she has hundreds and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of comments saying, I want the framework, on her top pinned post on Instagram. So she ends up getting more followers on Instagram and she gets tons of engagement on her top pinned post. So that's such a brilliant idea. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna steal that for LinkedIn and tell people to say that they want the framework on my top featured posts. So that's an interesting way to get people and monetize it that way. Okay.
He's got his hand raised and we only got 2 minutes. So Rick. What's your question? Very quickly, Elisa, when people work with you to do a live event, what's the biggest pleasant surprise that they realize? Oh, good question. What's the biggest pleasant surprise? Like the unexpected thing they, they enjoy. I think it's usually the, like, kudos that they get. So it's something— and all the love that can be shared, you know. So if you go into a chat and, and You know, you're sort of asking like, how did it go? Or did you— and people give shares and feedback. Um, I think they usually get surprised by how many compliments they get of all the value that they share. Um, just all the love that gets shared. So yeah, the nice surprise. Thank you. And it's amazing because you can use that as testimonials too.
Do you guys want to see the spreadsheet before you guys go? What it looks like, just FYI. Hey, watch this. So this is what the spreadsheet looks like. I have a spreadsheet organized with each thing that every single person said. All organized.
Is this the one that you just generated?
Yeah. Look how nice this is. And then I can just, I could just press copy. I can put a new tab and I can write sheets.new. So if you go to sheets.new, it opens up a new sheet and now it has everything all organized here like this in a sheet. I could sort, I could filter, I could organize. I could even instruct the AI to turn this into like, you know, first name, last name, email, cell, whatever, and get it all organized or have Evvy AI do all the research for me. So this is, An extremely powerful way of doing things, and I'm really glad. Now, with that being said, with the pleasant surprise that Elisa said just before, I want everyone to take a moment and share some gratitude for Elisa for— she did most of the work in putting this together because she's the producer. I'm the marketer, she's the producer. So can we just take a moment in the comments and just write her a sentence of how much we appreciate that she actually put this together? She did the hard work. It takes a lot of effort and energy to create a landing page and to create a header. And to create a banner, and to create content, and to create links, and to create registration forms, and to create thank you emails, and to create this email sequences, and to set up the whole thing, and to actually come, and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. All the different things that happened to make this happen, she basically did it all. I'm showing up over here with my little jazz hands dancing around like a monkey, and she did all the work. So let's just take a moment and just say thank you, sister. Thank you, amazing. And if you're connected to her on— if you're connected to her on LinkedIn, Leave a recommendation. Don't be stingy. Go to her profile, connect with her on LinkedIn, leave her a recommendation, and say, Elisa. And who here is committed to leaving Elisa a recommendation for her amazing performance today? Jane is amazing. Dr. Karen is. So we need at least three people. And if you leave her a recommendation, she'll appreciate it. She'll use it as a testimonial that she could use later as a post, which is really powerful. So thank you all for coming here. Thank you for the beautiful words and for being so amazing.
Joe, you also promoted this like crazy and showed everybody how to do it and gave a ton of value and super engaging. I don't know if everybody had fun, but this was a super engaging webinar and or masterclass, whatever you want to call it. And yeah, so thank you, Joe, for being here and for helping bring having this be such a successful event.
Thank you. Yay! And we'll see you guys in. So if you guys want to get all the resources, make sure to save the chat. Click on the three dots on top. Press save chat. It'll save into your computer. And then try out that little hack that I gave you. Make sure to comment on the replay, hit that repost on the replay, and I will share the framework as soon as we turn this off. Thank you very much, everyone. God bless you. God bless America. God bless Canada. God bless everybody. We'll see you soon. Take care.
