How to engage inside the daily engagement group

In this video, Joe Apfelbaum, CEO of Ajax Union, demonstrates how members of the AI Automation LinkedIn Engagement Pod receive a daily email (sent at 8:30 AM Monday‑Friday) that lists posts to engage with. He walks through the process of opening each post in a new tab, using the Evy AI tool to generate concise, persona‑based comments, tagging the post author, and liking the post. Joe highlights practical considerations such as avoiding posts with comments disabled, limiting the number of tabs opened simultaneously to prevent LinkedIn throttling, and spending 5‑10 minutes per session. He also shares broader engagement best practices: vary post formats, include images, provide genuine value rather than random content, and focus on building relationships by reviewing profiles, sending messages, and connecting. Finally, he points viewers to his newsletters – “17 Types of Posts to Post on LinkedIn” and the “Ultimate LinkedIn Task List” – for additional guidance.

So you might be wondering how this LinkedIn engagement group works. My name is Joe Apfelbaum, CEO of Ajax Union, and I love creating automations. And this is an automation that helps be able to make sure the members of this group get a daily email. So how do you, how do you make this work? What do you do? Well, the first thing you do is you check your email and every single day you're going to get an email. Let me move this to the left. You see right here, this email over here on the right. You're gonna get you're gonna get this email every day, and it says over here, thanks for being part of the AI Automation LinkedIn Engagement Pod. We welcome you to blah blah blah. Today is 36 Friday. It shouldn't say that. I don't know why it says 36 Friday. I'll have to look into that. Let me actually double check that right now. Why does it say 36 Friday? Today is now month day year. I don't know. It should appear. It's— oh, mm, capital mm. Let me try that. That shouldn't be a problem. I don't know why it's saying 36. Today is format date, format date. Now it should be fine. I don't know why it's doing that. Anyway, it says 36 FR Friday, but DD, I don't know. I'm going to try mm. Okay, whatever. I'm going to leave it alone for now. But super easy if you're using Evy AI. So what do you do? So every single day when you go in, you just control-click on each link. When you control-click, it opens up in a new tab, you see? And then you just drop a comment, you give it a like, and use Evy AI. It pops open like this. I'm gonna change the persona here. You can, with Evy AI, you can choose whatever persona you want. So I'm gonna just do 20 words. I have a short persona, just goes quick. I press generate. It reads the post and it gives him a nice little, um, a nice little thing over there. So I'm going to press, I'm going to tag him, do that, and I'm going to close it. Then I'll do the next person. You see that? Rafal. So I find Rafal. I see if he posted or not. If he didn't post, I move on to the next one. But if he posted like he did over here, now this, I don't know why comments have been turned off for this post. So I'm not going to engage with this because you turned off comments for this post, dude. When you post, Don't turn off comments if you want us to engage. I don't know what's up with that. Okay, Mark. I'm going to pop open Mark's profile here. I'm going to see if he also turned off comments. Okay, it looks like I already engaged with this one so I can move on from that. I'm going to go to Andy, check if Andy, and see if he engaged. Look at that, Andy said 3 days ago, I already engaged with that. So if you're— if there's nothing to engage with, you kind of move on. You don't have to literally engage with everything. So Andy, Joe K. Let me look at K right over here. Um, see if anything's here. I'm gonna go here. I'm gonna like it. Oh, it looks like she just shared Rafal's post. I'll see if she actually posted anything herself. 8 hours ago, she posted something. I scroll down. I like it. I click on Evie AI. I drop a comment because we're using 4.0. It's basically instant. I can tag her if I want. Um, that's how you do it. You press the@ sign and then you push the name. And you close it. And that was Kay. Then there's Tony. If you want to open a few at a time, you can. I just find that LinkedIn has a little bit of a heart attack when you do that. So you want to be careful. This was from 3 weeks ago. You want to try to maybe post a few times a week. You know, you can schedule things out in advance so you don't stress out, but that's the idea. Spot on, Tony. I'm going to close this. You see, now this didn't load here because I opened 2 at a time. And LinkedIn told me to basically go to hell. So I'm going to do this one here. Generate. As you can see, you can see how long it's taking me to do this. I'd recommend at least, you know, 5 to 10 minutes. And you could also kind of get to know the person as well. Let me look at Frank again because, I mean, Lloyd. Okay, I already did Lloyd. I'm going to do the one before Lloyd, which is Kevin. And then once Kevin loads, I'll do Frank, Troy, Bijorn, and Justin. You see I opened 4 at a time. I recommend, by the way, having images on your posts. Those— and don't just always do the same type of post over and over and over. Super annoying. You want posts that people are actually going to engage with. And so change up the type of posts that you're doing so people actually want to engage. The key is not just to post for the sake of posting, but to post valuable information. And if you're posting random stuff, it's not going to help you to get engagement. Because if you're only getting engagement from us and nobody else cares about it, you're not going to be successful on LinkedIn, period. It's not about getting engagement. It's about us engaging in something that's going to be valuable anyway. I'm going to engage in all this just to kind of show you how it works. But I want you to know that don't just share some random stuff. Make sure that you're adding value in each post. Otherwise, no one else is going to want to like it. And it's going to be even clearer. There's just the 13 of us doing it and it just, It's not gonna work. It's not actually gonna get you exposure to your target market. You wanna make sure that you're working on your content and you're doing things correctly and properly. So just make believe the engagement group doesn't work, but add value, add value, add value. And if there's something that you see there that just sucks, don't like it, don't comment on it. You don't have to do it, but it's nice to do it because you're part of this group and you wanna get to know people. And if you have more than 5 or 10 minutes, just go to a person's profile, look at what they're doing. Send them a message, connect with them, build a relationship, you know? Look at what they do for a living. Take the time and get to know the people that are in your community. Anyway, hope you found this useful. The automation is set. As you can see, the automation is set to go out at 8:30 AM Monday through Friday. So you'll see that coming in. And if you need some inspiration, you could always go to my profile. And I have so much inspiration over here. Just read through my comments, read through my posts. You can also go through my newsletter. I have a newsletter called 17 Types of Posts to Post on LinkedIn. So definitely check it out. And I also have the Ultimate LinkedIn Task List, which you should definitely check out. I have all the editions of my newsletter right here. So definitely check them out and hope this adds value to you. Thank you for being in my life and I'll talk to you soon. Boom.
