Joe Apfelbaum Playing Fortnite with His LinkedIn Connections 2024

In the normal way.

Yeah, but you don't need an umbrella. Right now we're playing Fortnite with my LinkedIn connection, Barry, and we're having such a good time playing and talking about business.

Are you freaking kidding me?

We're all the way halfway across the state away from you.

How many nursing home administrators are you connected to on LinkedIn?

Administrators? I don't really— are not really High enough for me, so like I don't. Oh, come on! Get out of here!

Get out of here! What about man? What's the title that you're looking for on LinkedIn? Managing director?

Purchaser, regional operator.

Purchaser.

No, Joe, we're in the worst spot possible. Like, where did you land? We landed without anything. Ay ay ay. We're literally dead. Oh, come on!

You're not dead. Just go find something. That's that's where that's where the challenge happens. I'll come pick you up with a car. Don't worry.

Just find a chest.

Stay chilled. I'll come save you.

I'm on.

I'm already on a boat. I already have a boat. I can come save you. Oh, you know what? Is someone attacking you?

Yeah.

Ah, ah, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.

What are you commanding about?

Like, I'm running from him. I'm running from him.

All right, let me see if I can find you. Oh, you're right, you're way out there. Okay, let's see if I could drive around the whole, the whole island and get to you.

I don't have any buildings.

I'm gonna drive around the whole island.

I think he's coming.

Let's see how long it takes me to drive around the whole island to get to you.

Yeah, he's coming.

I'm coming again.

There's tons of people. I'm getting out of there.

I have to go all the way to Dirty Docks.

I have nothing.

Look at me. I've never— by the way, I've never done this before. I've never driven around the entire island.

And I'm driving—

look at where I'm driving. Look at the map. I'm driving down the island.

Second, guys, I'm under fire. I'm under fire.

You know what? I'm gonna drive through the middle there. I see a path through the middle.

Get the heck out of here.

I'm gonna have to switch boats because I don't think I have enough gas to get to you. I'm switching boats. I'm gonna get off over here.

What do you mean?

He threw something. He threw something. Oh, oh shoot! Three way. We've been running the entire time. Wow.

You're dead?

Just no luck, guys. No, we're not dead, but we're almost dead.

You're on your way to Steamy Stacks, right?

Uh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, we're almost there.

Alright, I'm on my way there too.

Alright, go to Steamy Stacks.

Okay, I'll meet you there. If I survive this hell.

If I find a— oh, you know what? I found a rift. I'm gonna, I'm gonna hop on a rift right now. You know what a rift is? You guys know what a rift is?

Yeah, it's a time-space thing.

No, a rift is is one of those things that allow you to fly.

Oh, so I'm flying. Someone's here. Someone's here. Someone's here. Where are they? Anyone see them?

Anyone see them?

I need I need building materials. What? Someone's in pursuit. I mean, wow, guys, we've been surviving. The survival skills here are crazy. No. Go up on that. Go up on that. Hold on, is he pursuing?

No, Daddy, don't.

Is he pursuing? Where is he? Where is he? Where is he?

We have to go on the zip line. Daddy, go on the zip line. We have to go. Nine. All right. Yeah. No, no, no.

Oh, come on, come on, come on. What the heck?

You are so close.

I'm literally driving. I'm driving across the entire board to get to you. You know that, right?

Dude, thank you.

Thank you. Thank you.

I mean, we haven't had a freaking second to do anything.

Bye.

Pink bomb?

Yeah, pink bomb. Sorry, Joe!

That's okay. It's fun. I've never really driven around across the entire board. It's like I'm driving— I'm just like I'm driving to California.

Oh, that's fun.

Oh no, someone's shooting at me now. Oh, oh yes, they're shooting me from all sides. That's okay, I can handle it. I'm in a car.

No, I can't.

I can't.

I can't. I don't know how to use it. I won't use it well.

Just get it. Just get it. Another one with the remote control.

Second, someone's here. Someone's here.

Come on.

Where are you? Come on.

Let's go.

Let's go. Let's freaking go. Come on. Someone's there. What angle are they coming? Where are they coming from?

Over here. Can you drive there? We see you, Mojo.

Ah, saw them coming. I knew that was coming.

Okay, I see it, I see it.

I'm stopping off to get gas because I'm out of gas.

Damn, I didn't see the closer one. I'm dead. All right, good.

Don't worry, I'm gonna get you. I'm gonna get you. You're not dead.

Okay, okay.

I'm 400 meters away from you, and I'm full of gas.

Joe to the rescue! We've been hunted the entire game. By the way, this is a lot harder than singles.

Is it harder than singles?

Way harder. Way harder.

Coming to get you.

Yo, thanks so much!

Everyone here is actually good, and the usual singles, only like the last 3 are good.

Yo, thanks so much!

Joe, you're the best.

I got you. I got you.

Thank you.

Yeah, exactly.

I saved you.

I saved you.

Now I'm gonna go find a thing. Listen, this is what you do for your LinkedIn connections. You save them when they get stuck. You save them. What do you have LinkedIn connections for?

I don't know.

Could you please get out, get out of the window and kill this guy? Oh, you can't.

Joe, you know what I'd like from LinkedIn? You're doing good. Oh, this guy is all so annoying.

Let me shake him.

Nice.

Show them how it's done, Joe.

Who killed him?

I didn't kill him. Oh, this guy killed him. Oh, there's a bunch of them.

Yeah, okay, there's a reboot van nearby.

200 meters away. Look!

Wow, Joe, you're so, so good at saving our lives.

Yeah, he should be a Fortnite lifesaver.

Nice, and gets a chest to end it. Joe, you're, you're a gangster at this game.

I don't know if I'm a gangster at this game, but I do what I can to save my friends.

Humble too. Wow.

Here we go. Someone's coming now. Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.

Do I have anything? I have a pistol. That's it. Just no idea what's happening or where. Ah, come on, come on, come on, come on, come on.

Why don't I eat you?

Hi. Sorry, Joe.

What happened? What happened?

Uh, they got me. They shook me.

Shook you? They killed you.

They got me.

Did they shake you too?

They shook us. Yeah.

Oh no. So now they know where I am.

Oh yeah, yeah.

Wait. Can they track you with it? Or do they only know—

No, they just, they just, they just know for a second where I went, and if I was nearby, they would have caught me. But I'm nowhere nearby. I'm 300 meters away from them. So right now I'm just running away to get more blue juice somewhere, and I'll come back to get you. I need a car. I'm not just—

You have like 4 minutes.

Oh, someone in front of you.

I like your tail. I like your skin.

I like your skin.

Oh, thank you. Yeah, I like my skin too. I like the skin I'm in.

Um, did you buy that?

No. Did you—

I got it many— I got it many seasons ago. Yeah, I got battle pass because I had points from last season. If you get 100 points, then you get 1,000. Then you get— if you get like, if you get to level 100, then you get 1,000 points so you can get the next battle pass. You can pay also $10 for the battle pass or whatever, but—

What does the battle pass get us though?

It gets you a bunch of skins and prizes and whatever. All right, I'm gonna try to come get your thing now. Is it worth investing in a battle pass?

Yeah.

Oh, you see that guy there? Should I get him?

Yep, take him out, take him out.

Yeah, I'm gonna—

you don't have a good sniper rifle.

I don't have a good sniper rifle and I need to get your thing. And if I wake him up, if I wakey wakey the guy, he's gonna—

he's not gonna— yeah, you're right, you're right.

Oh, there's a guy hidden.

Oh, someone in front of you, someone in front of you.

Nice. Is your battle pass worth it?

Oh, Joe, nice. Oh sweet! You should be choking him.

Oh Joe, do you know how to use a grappling gun?

Joe, one second, one second. I gotta focus right now. Give me a second. I'm gonna try to revive your papa and then you can ask me whatever you want. Like 50% of the way there. I do know how to use a grappling gun and I love it. 75% of the way there.

Go, go, go, go, go, go! Processing reboot. Oh my God, Joe did it again in the same place! Clutch, bro. Okay, I need to get in this house and get something.

Just hide, just hide. I'm hiding in a— I'm hiding in a haystack.

I only have a pistol. I only have a—

dude, hide in a haystack till the coast is clear. I'm in a haystack.

What?

Do you know how to hide in a haystack?

No.

Dude, I'm literally hiding in a haystack. The coast is clear now. I'm gonna come running to you. There are 2 guys over there.

Oh, I'm hiding in a haystack.

Okay. Hide in a haystack. I'm gonna hide in a bush. I'm in a bush right here. What do you— tell me what you need.

Uh, I need everything. I have nothing. I have a pistol, a .54.

Okay, so let me give you— let me give you a shotgun. I'm gonna drop a shotgun right here, right next to me. Come into this bush.

Okay.

I just dropped it. I just dropped a shotgun for you.

Should I leave my hiding? No, no, footsteps, footsteps.

If there's footsteps, do not leave your hiding.

I just saw footsteps like 10 seconds ago.

But now they're gone. Should we just—

If you crouch—

Oh, footsteps, footsteps!

We're in this haystack.

Footsteps. Someone's here. Oh, I see them.

I killed him.

Nice.

Okay, nice. Oh, there's a ton of stuff there.

Now you can get all that stuff.

Thank you. You're welcome.

Get remote just to be safe. Thanks so much, Joe.

You're welcome.

Joe, Joe for the clutch move. Okay, what is that? Pump shotgun, whatever. Let me just see what I have. I'm just— sorry, sorry, sorry.

Did you just shoot me?

Sorry, no, no, no, I did not. I did not. I did not.

Are you even allowed to kill your own teammate?

No, but you shot. You can shoot your teammate. He's not going to kill him. But if you— I was wondering if it was him that shot or somebody else, you know what I mean?

Um, no, sorry, my father was checking out, um, the thing.

He was just testing out the shotgun to see if it worked.

Yeah, um, we're right now— we're almost right next to you.

Okay, there's a guy right there. I just pointed to a guy, you see?

Yep, I got him.

30, 20. Is that you shooting with me?

I just got him 25.

Got him another 35. Oh, almost got him.

Get him! Oh, we almost got him.

Okay, I have no more bullets, so I'm I'm no use.

What? Hide in the haystack.

I don't need to hide in a haystack. I need to find bullets. I'm running the other way to find bullets.

Got him!

Oh, got him!

Good job, Joe.

He's dead.

Good job. Now let's go find some bullets.

There's a ton of stuff there. Don't go there.

Don't go there yet. You want to go there, but don't go there yet. We have to wait till the coast is clear. Whoa! Then then we go there.

Okay, should I hide?

Um, should we hide? No, you have to hide. I'm getting a truck to come get you.

Okay, fine.

All right. So where Joe always puts me? So where should we hop in my truck?

Hop in my truck.

No, come come come get in my truck. This is my truck. Got it. Okay, tell me what you need. You love this truck?

Oh dude, this is the best truck ever.

I know, it's such a good truck.

It's like so funny because it's like a, a classic trucker's truck.

By the way, I first think you're adding those.

Someone shoot! Did someone shoot?

Oh, someone's there.

Someone shot.

Left footprints.

Where are they? Where are they?

Wherever they are, they're shooting us. You hear the backup? You hear the way it backs up? Either way, the beep— do we hear the way it beeps when it backs up? It's really good.

Yeah, whenever you go, Jim, go home.

Yeah, don't worry, there's only— there's only 12 people left. That means we're at the end of the game, so we need to figure out a way to survive. That means I need bullets. Okay, I need to find bullets.

You want a gun?

I have guns, I just need bullets.

I have guns, I have bullets, I have guns with bullets.

No, no, no, no, I need to find bullets. We need to find, uh, like a loot, like something with loot.

Oh, loot. There might, there might have some bullets there.

No, we need to kill somebody and take their bullets. That's what we're going Gonna do?

Got the sniper rifle.

Okay, do you see that? Do you see that? Do you see that broken house right in front of us? That like naked house?

Yeah.

Yeah.

There's a there's a there's a thing on top of it.

Go get it.

Go get it. We'll cover you.

Okay, cover me. Okay, now I have bullets. Now I gotta restock my bullets.

Baruch Hashem.

Baruch Hashem. Do you want these grenades?

Okay, we're not—

yeah, we're not. Oh wait, wait. Okay, I'm in.

All right, here we go.

Yeah, I don't really— not the biggest fan of grenades.

Oh, I love grenades.

It's just like—

oh, there's a guy, there's a guy! Get out your window and kill him! Get out your window and kill that guy in front of us!

Where is he? Where is he?

He's in the corn stacks. I'm gonna knock him.

I see him, I see him!

Oh, it's a droid!

It's a droid. There's a droid also.

It's gonna be one of us, Dan.

Yeah, we gotta be careful.

Could you please kill the droid?

Oh, he shot me. Okay, I killed the droid.

Let me get her, let me get her.

I already killed the droid. Now we have to kill— now we have to kill that guy. He's trying to reboot his friends.

Yeah. Oh really?

Yeah.

Storm, storm, storm!

Oh, he's done. He rebooted his friends. Now they're all coming down. Okay, I killed his friend. Can you please kill his friends? We could win the game if we kill these people. Oh, okay, he's down.

Oh, whoa, we're falling!

Oh yeah, yeah, we're crawling. All right guys, I thought I was good until I met y'all.

Joe, why is it that— hold on guys, guys, he's in the middle of a firefight.

He needs to focus.

Oh, number 4. Good game.

Good game, Joe. Thank you so much for playing with us.
