Soulful Leadership: How to Scale with Conscious Collaboration 🚀

In this recorded presentation, Joe Apfelbaum recaps a recent 8‑year‑old summit in Florida (Feb 11‑13) and shares his approach to "soulful" leadership. He emphasizes magnetizing your message, building deep relationships through selfies, LinkedIn research, and daily connection goals (20+ contacts). He outlines the essential elements of a high‑impact LinkedIn profile (photo, banner, headline, about) and the power of conscious collaboration—aligning with your soul‑level values to attract like‑minded partners. Guest Jay discusses designing mastermind programs around a leader’s super‑power rather than using cookie‑cutter formats. Joe demonstrates a one‑click AI video editing workflow using Evie/Evvy AI, turning short clips into ready‑to‑post Instagram/TikTok videos, and promotes the tool for smarter networking. Throughout, he offers a $100 “Mojo” coupon for the next summit and a text‑to‑signup option (text “soulful” to 973‑841‑8868). The talk blends anecdotal event footage, practical networking tactics, marketing philosophy, and a live tech demo.

Imagine this: your message is magnetizing to the right people. Your team supports your vision with clarity and ease. Your collaborators are aligned, committed, and deeply connected with your mission. I want to give you a little recap of the event that I went to, but if you want to sign up to next year's event and you're looking for the coupon code, they're going to make me a special $100 coupon code for my community with the coupon code Mojo. But if you want the link to sign up, just text the word soulful to 973-841-8868 and I'll send you the link. And a couple people were like, dude, where are you? Let's hang out. But somebody stopped me in the golf area and they said, dude, you're gonna get hit by a ball. You can't just run around the golf course. I was like, oh my goodness, okay. And then I took, um, a few videos.
Then you can research people in such a deep way and you can learn so much about them to be able to build relationships It's important that if you're going to a conference or you're going to a meeting to look up all the people on LinkedIn.
And relationship after relationship, just connecting with people, getting to know them, learning about them. One of the questions I asked Nancy was, who do I need to meet? Who's the number one person in this room I need to meet? And she told me it was Robert. Every single conversation that I had with, with someone, I took a little selfie, connect with them. Imagine this, your message is magnetizing to the right people, your team supports your vision with clarity and ease, Your collaborators are aligned, committed, and deeply connected with your mission. This isn't a fantasy. It's what becomes possible when you lead from the soul. We're going to play some songs about the, about the summit just to kind of show you a couple of things. But I want to let you know that it's happening in Florida on February 11th through 13th, and it's going to be the 8th year, I believe. So I just went to this event.
The number one thing you have to do to get started on LinkedIn is you have to start with a great profile.
A photo, a banner, a headline, an about section.
You also want to make sure that you're connecting with at least 20 people per day. For example, if you're at a retreat and there's 100 people, get the list of all the people that are in the retreat and connect with all of them because those people are in the position to refer business to you. The more connections you have, the more likely you are to start getting referrals and building those relationships. Remember, on LinkedIn you can have 30,000 connections.
6 Figure Masterminds, Jay himself, and he has an incredible strategy for masterminds. Tell me what you just told me about The idea of what it takes to build a successful mastermind that will help you keep a client for 3 years, not 3 months.
So what I was talking about is that one of the biggest mistakes people make is that they don't put the effort into creating the container properly, or they try to use some kind of cookie-cutter approach. So there's a lot of people, including gurus like me, who teach people how to do masterminds that'll just say, okay, get a bunch of people, sit around a circle, and everybody gets 10 minutes every meeting, and they do a share and ask for help. And that can take You can take a mastermind so far, but it's limiting because of 2 factors. When you're running a mastermind as a thought leader, as a coach, as a mentor, as a guru, you need to design it around your superpower, right? So if my superpower is creating content, I don't want to run a mastermind where all I do is facilitate. If I— if my superpower, you know, so the key is customizing it so that it takes advantage of your superpower as the thought leader running it, but more importantly delivers the most value to the clients you're serving.
Conscious collaboration is the single greatest strategy for marketing because you can make a greater impact and a greater income through conscious collaboration than any other marketing strategy.
Conscious collaboration changes lives. What would you say is a quick tip for conscious collaboration?
First, you have to be aligned with who you are at soul level, and then you want to be able to attract people that are aligned with your vision, mission, and values.
I'm going to teach you how I edit videos. I'm going to show you exactly how I do it. And we made a video right then and there. This is the I'll show you the video here. And she was like, oh my goodness, Joe, I can't believe you clicked one button and made this video. One button, selected the clips, selected the clip, press go, and it turned it into this. Oh, it was like 2 or 3 clips. She was like, wow, this is such a good video. Such a good video. Yeah, I selected the few clips and then I pressed go and I made this video. She was like, wow, she's very impressed how easy it was to do this 50-second video, all edited, ready for Instagram. And then I showed how I posted on Instagram or TikTok, wherever I posted it. Either way, the AI takes up the best parts of the video and kind of puts it together like that. Okay, I'm going to press next. And in here, I'm going to click Evie AI, click on content, and I'm going to say, if you want to have all the things that other people don't have, you have to be willing to do all the things that other people are not willing to do. Okay, and then I'm going to press copy.
When you're writing—
Next video, next video. Okay, so I also sometimes when I meet somebody and I really want to connect with them deeply, I take a screenshot of their LinkedIn. So Terry, for example, I took a screenshot of her LinkedIn because I was like, I want to connect deeply. Now I'm going to go have dinner with her this week. More selfies, more connections.
Yes, please.
More B-roll, more photos. Look at that. Photos, B-roll, events. Unbelievable. Just, you know, Lori, Anna, Orly, David. I got a massage, Jacinta. This is another roundtable we did. Connected with all those people. Karen. More conversations, more notes about partnerships, collaboration circles. Somebody gave me this beautiful rock. I also did an interview. Got some more photos. Linda Cain, we went for a walk. We did another photo here.
That's beautiful.
Another collab photo. Look how cool this photo is. Let me refresh so you can see it and we can listen to another song while we're looking at this. And that's it. That was the end. That was the end, ladies and gentlemen. All right. Well, I hope you enjoyed that. If you did, let me know that you really enjoyed it and let me know what you think. And if you want to come with me next year.
