In today's video, I'm going to talk to you about 5 reasons to invest in real estate in a recession. Coming up next. When an economic downturn hits, such as the one that we could potentially be experiencing soon, investments generally suffer losses. However, real estate values have continued to increase despite numerous recessions over the last 60 years. Sometimes they've even increased during the recession itself. So what does this mean for you, the new or experienced investor? Let's jump on in. Before we start, I want to welcome all the new members to the channel. I've really enjoyed talking to you guys in the comments section, so keep them coming. I have over 40 years of experience as a broker, mentor, and investor. I made this channel for you, the new and experienced investor. For those looking to create the life they've always wanted through real estate. Do somebody a favor and share this video with them. Number 1 reason, housing is always a basic need. Whether you're a homeowner or a renter, you're always going to need someplace to live. Number 2, there will always be people that need your help during any situation at all. There's divorces out there, there's deaths out there, there's so many different things that could happen that affect a transaction, a real estate property, that you're there and ready to help. Number 3, real estate in the long run has always been more stable than any other investment. Number 4, prices tend to come down during a recession. So depending on the severity of the recession, or maybe even a depression like we had 10, 15 years ago, you need to be ready. You need to have those cash reserves ready. You need to have the ability to get hard money lending funding. You need to have traditional funding available. You need to be ready because if we go to start going down, When everybody's running out of the room, you should be running in and buying as much as you can. Number 5, interest rates can be lower during a recession. They happen to be going up right now, but if it gets too bad, the Fed's going to start reducing that interest rate back down again to make housing affordable. Remember, even in economic uncertainty, you can tip the odds in your favor depending on your decisions when investing in the right markets. You can find yourself coming out on top.
