Achieving your goals, part 2

A short motivational talk by John Assaraf on goal-setting and the importance of winning the “inner game.” Assaraf explains that clearly written goals combined with daily focus change thinking and behavior (the “law of resonance”), attract new opportunities and universal intelligence, but must be paired with action and specialized knowledge to produce results.

Alright, so I'm back again. Hopefully you can hear me. Well, I'm at another angle of Telluride and we got a beautiful, beautiful view. My videographer here is none other than Joe Sweeney and a good buddy of mine skiing with me this week. So when I talked earlier about setting the types of goals that you want to have in your life, many people start to feel like, but I don't know how to achieve that. And they get stuck in the how and they don't allow themselves to dream and to allow some of the forces of nature to help them. What do I mean by that? Well, when you set a goal for how much money you want to make, when you set a goal for the lifestyle you want to live that I talked about in the last video, you start to think at a different level, you start to vibrate at a different level. And guess what that does? That sets up, number one, the law of resonance. And just like you would tune into a different radio station if you wanted to listen to different music, when you set up a new goal of, let's say, doubling or tripling your current income or business revenues, if you set a goal of doubling or tripling the number of vacations you're taking, if you set the number of pounds that you want to release off of your body as your goal, even though you may have tried 100 diets before, guess what happens? You start to do different things, you start to think differently, you start to read different things. But what's more important, you start to get the universal intelligence to work with you. But it doesn't work just because you've written the goals. It works because you start to focus on it. And just like you can see the sun behind me is laying some beautiful sunshine around this terrain. If you take that same sunshine and you focus it with a magnifying glass, you can actually cut through laser, actually steel. If you use a magnifying glass, you can actually take that same energy and burn a piece of paper or a leaf. So when you write your goal down, that's the vision. When you focus on it every single day, that's the energy that is being focused on an outcome. And if you do that for a day, a week, 30 days, 90 days, 180 days, and you focus on those goals, you will start to change from the inside out. And that's why the majority of the work that I do around the world with individuals in countries all over the world, is working on winning the inner game. And then you come up with, how can I? After you set the goal. So you set the goal, then you focus on the goal every day, every week, every month. And you do have to get into action. And that's where specialized knowledge comes in. Neither one of us needs any more information, but we can all use the right information in the right order, and that is available everywhere. But first, you've got to master what's in here. Win the inner game first, and you'll win the inner game and the outer game of life in every single area.
