The 3-Part Predictable Business Growth Model - John Assaraf

John Assaraf breaks down a three-part growth model: foundation (mindset, skills, action), implementation (lead generation and conversion), and optimization (KPIs and scaling). He explains how consistent systems let you make more money and increase impact, then invites applications to his Escape Velocity 212 mastermind.

Hey, this John, I've got something super special for you today, especially if you are a serious business owner that wants to grow her or his business and really achieve its fullest potential and at the same time, fulfill your potential. Many years ago, I was so blessed and fortunate to have an amazing mentor and business growth coach who was at the time worth about a hundred million dollars because he was one of the best in the world at what he did. He was in the franchising business. And when I first met him and I asked him, how do you make all of this money? He said that his mentors taught him how to take the elevator up to the floor of success in business instead of taking the stairs. And when I asked him to dive a little bit deeper into what he meant by that, he started to show me some frameworks on how to think about business, but more importantly, how to develop the habits of a highly successful business owner. What I believe is that you want to make more money, right, as a business owner. And so I want to show you a couple things that you can do to really focus on making more money. And in most cases, the people that I work with all over the world that want to make more money, they're doing it because they want to achieve freedom, right? And so they want choice freedom, they want emotional freedom, they want time freedom to do the things that really matter. And what I suggest that that's called is they really want to have an impact in their lives, so they want to earn more money so that they can have more freedom to have more of an impact in their lives and in their communities and while they're here on this little blue planet. So if you fall into the categories where you want those three things, I've developed something that I know you're going to love to learn about, and it's called the predictable business growth model, or the way I really like to teach it, is around the neuroscience of predictable business growth and profits. And it's really broken down into three things. But this over here is what I call the heart of the matter, right? This is really the heart of the matter here. If you can make more money, have more freedom, and have more impact, that is going to touch your soul. And so there are three fundamental foundational things that you need to have in order to do that. I'm going to show you a few frameworks. So the first one is all around making sure that the foundation to grow your business is solid. No differently than building a home. You want a solid foundation. The second part of what you need is you need to have very, very strong implementation strategies and tactics so that your business can scale and grow. So once your foundation is in place and you're implementing the right things, a lot of things start to happen that the next part of this is all around making sure that the stuff that you are implementing, you know how to optimize. So this starts to give us the framework of foundation implementation and optimization is the next cornerstone for your business growth. Now let me share with you what happens when you get your foundation right. It moves you from an instable situation or instability, and it moves you into a stable situation, again, no differently than the foundations of a home. When we're talking about implementation, you really start to move from being an entrepreneur that's active and busy doing the trivial many things to an entrepreneur that is doing the critical few things that goes from activity to real productivity. So when you combine instability to stability and activity to productivity, and then you focus on optimizing the activities that are yielding really good results, you actually can optimize and go from being good to being great. Now, the question that I want to ask you is what is your vision? What is your goal? Is your vision and goal to be a good CEO, a good entrepreneur, or to be a great one, the best one that you can be? Is your goal to just be active, doing random things every day, or is your goal to be productive where you're focusing on the high income and high impact activities that you do and your team does? Is your goal to go from instability to stability? Then you have to have your foundation in place and hopefully this makes sense so far. Now, the accelerators that all of this framework works with and under is this. The first part of your foundation has got to be mindset. Now, a lot of people think that mindset is around having a, you know, a good attitude. Mindset is way more than that. When we're talking about the neuroscience of predictable business growth and profitability. Mindset also has to include your beliefs, your explicit beliefs, and your implicit beliefs. Your beliefs will drive more of your behaviors than your knowledge and skills will. And so in order to be able to implement all of this, in order to be able to operate at the highest level of your capabilities, you really have to focus on mindset from two perspectives. What you consciously want and can imagine, but also what you consciously believe you deserve and can achieve. So mindset is part of the foundation that every entrepreneur that I work with, I work on their outer game and their inner game. And part of the outer game is the skill set, right? So There are a variety of skills that every entrepreneur needs. And you need to know on your team, what role are you supposed to be playing? Are you supposed to be the marketer? Are you supposed to be the salesperson? Are you supposed to be responsible for it? Are you supposed to be the visionary? Are you supposed to be the manager? What skill sets do you need to build your company? What skill sets do you need to get better at, and what skill sets do you need to delegate? That is the second foundational piece of these accelerators. And then the other part of this equation is the action set. Every single person on your team, including you, needs to know exactly what should you be doing every day, every week, every month, every quarter, so that your foundation is consistently getting better and better, stronger and stronger each and every day and every week. So when you combine mindset skill set and an action set plan, now you have a strong foundation that is repeatable, predictable and duplicatable. Which leads me to the second part of this equation and the way I was able to grow RE MAX of Indiana to 4 1/2 billion dollars a year in sales and Bamboo.com to $10 million a month in sales and NeuroGym to seven figures a month in revenues is by understanding these three things around implementation. The first thing that you have to understand when it comes to generating money, revenue, cash, whatever you want to call it, is you have to have a consistent, predictable inflow of leads or prospects. And if you don't have this piece of qualified leads coming in to your orbit every day, every week, every month that matches the revenue number that you want to hit for that month, that quarter or that year, then you're going to have a shortfall. So one of the most important implementation things that you have to do is develop a solid, predictable, consistent lead generation machine. And without one, you don't have your foundation or your stability. So the implementation of what you need to do or have somebody else on your team has got to start with creating 1, then 2, then 3, then 5 different streams of prospects or leads that are qualified. The second part is around conversion, right? And conversion is something that every salesperson knows that, for example, some salespeople will speak to ten prospects and close one. Other salespeople will speak to ten prospects and close two. That's a hundred percent difference in conversion ratios. So what you have to understand is how do I create irresistible offers? How do I create an irresistible process to convert more of these qualified leads so that you can increase your percentages of closure for revenue by 10, 20 30, 40, 50%. So you have to get good at lead generation, you've got to get good at lead conversion. Now let's say that there are 10 people who come into your orbit as prospects and one buys. Where most people leave a lot of money is around this area called nurturing. Now the nurturing process around implementation is all around taking those nine people that don't buy right now and putting them in some kind of an automated process of either calling them, staying in touch with them, keeping them in your orbit, whereby you're building your brand, you're building top of mind awareness so that when they're ready to buy a product or service like yours, you're the one they choose first. Now I want you to think about this. If you've already invested the time and the money to generate the lead, but they didn't buy over here, what if they're able to buy in 30 days or 60 days or 90 days? What if they have a friend that they can refer to you or a family member without a proper lead nurturing campaign in place that's either man based or automated using Internet technology, then you are giving up the cost of acquisition of those nine leads and there's a lot of money to be made there. So so far we've got our mindset, skill set and action set for you and for your team. But then we've got some of the mechanics of business growth, lead generation, qualification, conversion and nurturing, which then leads, okay, to something around implementation here. And this goes or takes you from being somebody who's active doing a lot of things to somebody who's highly productive doing the right things. Now one of my mentors said to me, said John, it's not just about doing the right things, it's about doing the right things in the right order at the right time. So if you're premature on any of this stuff because either you don't know or your team doesn't know, then that would be like having the combination to safe, but it's not in the right order. You can spend a lot of time busy trying to open safe, but you're not going to get the safe to open to take out the $10 million. So once you have your foundation and implementation in place, now we go into optimization. So now we have a process and a system that works, that's predictable. And now what we want to look at is how do I optimize? And one of the first things you want to do is you want to understand metrics or KPIs key performance indicators. And so one of the things I learned many years ago was that all business is math. And so if you can have a way, dashboards, information to understand what's working and what's not, what's critical in your business, that you can, you know, turn up the lever to do more of or turn down the levers to do less of the metrics and the KPIs, you can optimize all of your marketing, all of your sales. The other part of this equation is in what we call our profit maximizers. So let me give you an example of a profit maximizer. There are two best times to maximize. A prospect who's just buying from you or that has bought from you the first time is the highest percentage of you getting extra cash and profits from a prospect who's just become a customer is at the point of purchase. So if he or she is buying online or offline, one of the greatest ways that you can make a little bit of extra money is by creating some upsell offer or a down sell offer. That's called a profit maximizer. It's at the point of purchase where they're already at the point where they're giving you money and exchanging your product or service for their money. You're able to say, hey, by the way, would you like X, Y or Z with that? Because it's going to help you achieve your vision, your goal, your dream, your desired result faster and easier than before. And so the profit maximizers are ways of looking at every one of the products or service that you sell and making an extra 10, 20, 30, 40% of pure profit at the point of purchase or after they have consumed the product or service that you've offered them. The other part of this, once you have this, is all around acceleration and scale, Right? So what's acceleration and scale? Once you have your foundation in place, once you have the implementation tools in place, once you start to optimize, now you want to move into this part of your business. This is the part of your business where you can go from, you know, 100 to 500, 500 to a million, a million to 3, 3 million to 5 to 10 to 20 to 50. Now why would you want to do that? The answer is because a business that's accelerating, a business that's scalable, is a business that's saleable. So when we talk about and come back full circle to making more money, yes, you want to be focused on making more money now so you can live a great lifestyle, have more impact and have more freedom but you also want to be thinking about, how do I create a business that is saleable? And people will buy your business for one of two reasons. Number one, because they think they can grow it bigger, and that means that your company's going to be worth a lot of money. Or number two, they want the predictable cash flow that all of this creates. When I was in the world of franchising, the reason people paid, you know, 100,000, 500,000 million dollars for franchising is because the business was predictable, the processes and systems were predictable. And predictability allows you to create scalability. And scalability means that you can sell your business for more or you can have more money month in, month out, quarter in, quarter out, to be able to live the lifestyle of your dreams and to have the biggest possible impact of your life. And so this entire process and framework, all right, is so imperative for a business owner. When you're looking at every one of these pieces, when you're optimizing and you're going from good to great, you're starting to maximize your fullest potential. And when you follow a model that works, you reduce your costs, you increase the speed at which you can build your business, and you become a phenomenal business owner. And this is what every great business owner learns. Here are two options that you have. You can figure this out on your own, and you might probably be able to do it because I believe you're a smart person, or there's another option for you. Every few years, I take a hand selected group of entrepreneurs and I work with them for a whole year. Some one on one, some in groups, I bring in other experts and we work together in a mastermind for 12 whole months. And this is the year 2020 that I've decided I'm going to do another one of my mastermind groups, and it's called Escape Velocity 21 2. Let me explain the name. When you put all of this together, you can achieve something that I call escape velocity. And escape velocity comes from my passion of space and rockets and the moon program. When you design spaceship and you want to put it on Mars or the moon or another planet, there's a lot of planning that goes in ahead of time so that when you fire off the rockets, everything works hopefully seamlessly, right? And you could achieve this escape velocity. Now, when a rocket ship is leaving the Earth, it takes the enormous amount of energy to get it up from the ground. But when it takes off and achieves this thing called escape velocity, it breaks the gravitational pull of the Earth's atmosphere and gravity and it starts to take off at 25,000 miles per hour. Now if you put this stuff in place for your business, can you imagine where you can take your business? Can you double, triple quintuple it? So the escape velocity part is that the 212 is around something that I think is simple for everybody to understand. And that is water at 211 degrees is really hot. You can make really hot tea. But at 212 water changes to steam. And steam can now move a locomotive. Water can't move a locomotive. But steam, that little 1 degree difference moves a locomotive. So if you want to transform yourself from being a good entrepreneur to a really great entrepreneur for somebody who's probably doing well, making a good living, to somebody who's making a great living, if you want to transfer, you know, my knowledge to you, then I invite you to apply for our Escape Velocity 212 mastermind program. There's only a few spots left. It's by application only. And. And my goal is to help you do this. Make more money, have more freedom, and have more impact in the world. I hope that you've enjoyed this, the applications below, and I appreciate you doing your part in the world with your product and service. I believe that together we can help each other and we can make the world an even better place to live. So thank you for watching this and if you are committed to achieving greater success, click on the link and maybe we'll get a chance to work together.
