John Assaraf stands at a double-black-diamond ski run called Millions in Telluride, Colorado, and uses the 12,500-foot climb as a metaphor for building wealth. He breaks it down to three things: decision, commitment, and steady forward progress, one foot in front of the other.

Hey, everybody, this is John and I'm up in the mountains of Telluride, Colorado, and I just found this great little sign. It's a double black diamond little run, ski run called Millions. And we're up at about 12 and a half thousand feet. And this just reminded me that in order to make millions, you have to be willing to make the climb and you have to be willing to do what it takes to get up to the top because it doesn't come easy. And you just got to put one foot in front of the other, get up to the top and then you can make your millions. It's not rocket science, but it is a science of making a decision, making a commitment to that decision and then putting one foot in front of the next until you get up to the top. Enjoy the journey because it's beautiful all the way up. And as you can see, the beautiful view to Millions.
