The Structure & Order Needed for Financial Success

John Assaraf breaks financial success into three separate skills: earning, managing, and preserving money. Most people excel at one or two but not all three. Real growth requires mastery across mindset, strategies, and systems that leverage people and repeatable processes.

The other thing that I realized many, many, many years ago is the only constant is change. If you think I like things just the way they are, nothing is ever just the way it is. And status quo. It's either create or disintegrate. It's the law of the universe. So get comfortable with change. And then the other thing that I learned is that order and structure are paramount to financial success. What do I mean by that? There are absolute laws and ways to earn money. There's a different set of laws and rules in order to manage money. And there's a whole other set of rules and laws and skills to preserve money. You might be good at one and suck at another. You might be good at 2 or 3. Rarely have I seen people that are good at all three. But order and structure, doing the right things in the right order at the right time is the way that I learned how to start thinking. What's the opening? What's the middle? What's the close? There is structure and order to business. There's structure and order to our presentation. There's structure and order to everything. And then what I also learned is this. When I look at income levels around the world and I see people who are earning, you know, 0, 10, 20,000 a year, which is fine in some places, all right, What I have found is the people that have the knowledge but don't have the application of knowledge, they're just ignorant. Now, ignorance just means not knowing. It doesn't mean stupid. It just means not knowing. And then there's another group. You have the knowledge and have some experience, and they're applying some of it, and they fit into another income category. But here's what I also know is the only difference between the people in the more advanced income group of, you know, 150, $250,000 to a million, 2 million, 5 million, 10 million, they have specialized knowledge and expertise that they apply. You can have people in the ignorant group that have specialized knowledge and expertise, don't apply it. And then you can have people in the second group who got the knowledge and expertise. They apply some of it, but not to the level that they're capable of. And so the three things that you've got to really get to is coordination of your mindset, your beliefs, your emotions, your habits, integrated with the strategies and tactics, which is, what should I do? Why should I do it? How should I do it? When should I do it? That, for the most part, are knowns already. What I mean by knowns, if you're in business, how Many of you are business owners. Great. Almost all of you. Sales, marketing, management, finance it. All of the categories of business somebody else has already figured out. So you don't have to figure it out for yourself. You got to figure it out for your business. But for the most part, the strategies and tactics part have been figured out. And then the other part is the systems that you put in place. And I call the systems for leverage. And that's the people that you have help you, okay? The processes that are duplicatable and then creating predictability models that you can repeat over and over and over again. And in that, all right, you've got the three levels of you knowing, and one is the classroom style knowing. And that's you learning your books, CDs, DVDs, coming to seminars. I call that level one knowing. Then the level two is really about experiential, taking the knowledge and getting out there and applying it and getting better through practice. And where we want you to go is really to the level of mastery, mastering your mindset, mastering your skills and strategies, and mastering your processes and systems. If you want to go from money to money squared, exponential growth, that's what you have to do. Okay? I'm not talking about making an incremental gain in your income. I'm talking about making an exponential gain, making, you know, what I call a quantum leap, or taking that big jump from where you are across the chasm.
