Floyd Larkin, a former defibrillator salesman, joined Clear Cardio's preventative cardiovascular program after his friend, pro-golfer David Frost, recommended it. The program identifies soft and hard arterial plaque and creates a medication plan to reduce stroke and heart attack risk. Larkin notes that 99% of people over 40 have plaque and need to know their burden.

Good morning. This is Floyd Larkin. I'm from Birmingham, Alabama, and I elected to come to Carrollton, Texas for one of the most exciting things that I feel like that's happened in the cardiovascular world in the last 50 years that I've been involved. And how I got here is that my good friend David Frost, the pro golfer, he had a friend that came out and learned about the technology that they have here at Clear Cardio. And from there, he came out and he elected to enter their program, as I call it. I prefer not to call it a scan. I think it's a 1-year program of preventative medicine to help you prevent strokes and heart attacks in the future. And so David came out and he was Scanned, and he was so excited. And with my friendship with him, he thought about myself because I've been on the electrical side of the heart. I was the first external defibrillator salesman in the state of Alabama, so I have a long history of this. So we're always patching, we're defibrillating somebody after they've had the accident or they were clinically dead with cardiac arrest. Or you go to the cardiologist and he finds that you have an abnormality or blockage or whatever. They repair you, but they don't give you a solution. So what sets this program apart is that we have a solution. If they detect that I have soft plaque, which is the most dangerous plaque in my arteries, then we can come up with a plan with medication— medications that will harden that plaque or reduce that plaque and hopefully eliminate that plaque. And I have peace of mind that my odds are real low that I'm gonna suffer a stroke or heart attack in the future. And so this is exciting to me. Instead of us responding to a cardiac event, We are now trying to prevent anybody having to respond to a cardiac arrest. So I urge everybody that's over 40 years of age to come out, get into this program, because only about 1% of you have no plaque. The other 99%, which is mainly everybody, needs to know where you stand and how much hard plaque and soft plaque you have in your body so that you can take the steps to eliminate that. So that's my story.
