A golfer expects every shot to go in the hole. In sales, you need the same acceptance that most attempts fail. Put in consistent work, take coaching, develop better habits, and move on fast after a miss.

At my son's age, he golfs, and him and his friends somehow think that one day, every time they hit the ball, it's going to land in the hole. I'm like, dude, I don't want to like ruin your parade, but it's part of the game. You're going to hit it in the bunker a lot. You're going to hit it— you mean you're going to strike out? That you've got to get used to that. I love that you're mad about it. I hate that you let it drag on. That make sense? Now what do we do? We put in work. We hit off tees. We take more ground balls. We go to practice. We get more coaching. We get— you know what I mean? Like, there's things we do to better our chances and better our odds, but we don't go like, I'm never gonna strike out again. That'd be weird. And so on this business, same as the sales side, y'all understand that on the sales side, it's like, all right, on to the next, let's keep it moving.
