John Wetmore demonstrates guided discovery techniques for insurance sales and recruiting. Instead of telling clients what to do, agents ask questions that lead them to their own solutions.
And I feel like if I can, if I can interact with someone and get them to think differently, that they can accomplish, or they can, that there's, there's some tweaks they can make, I feel good that I can now navigate a conversation and, and not cause frustration but yet get the same point across.
Yes. You know, yes, I've seen you do that really well, by the way. You're one of the best I've seen at that, where instead of, instead of using direct comments and just like one word and, you know, short phrase answers and just like tick someone off but really get their attention. Now you're using questions so that they can come to the solution on their own, which is really powerful. Um, how important is that for people that are working with agents to not just give them the answers?
Yeah, I think it's, it's the most important piece of it. And it's— I relate it a lot to the sales side, right? You would never go into a house and just start screaming at a client that they need life insurance or else you don't have it. What is wrong with you? You need to buy this. Correct.
It makes sense. We're doing on the recruiting side.
