In this brief motivational excerpt, the speaker (channeling Steve Jobs' perspective) asserts that everything we consider life was created by people no smarter than ourselves, emphasizing that we possess the power to influence and reshape the world. By recognizing that we can "poke" life—push against it and cause a response—we unlock a mindset of personal agency. The speaker urges listeners to seize the singular opportunity of their lives, build things for others, and pursue what they truly want, suggesting that this realization fundamentally transforms one's outlook.

Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you. And you can change it. You can influence it. You can build your own things that other people can use. The minute that you understand that you can poke life and actually something will, you know, if you push in, something will pop out the other side, that you can change it, you can mold it. Once you learn that, you'll never be the same again. You're only here once. You may as well go for what you want.
