The excerpt is a short motivational dialogue between two unnamed participants (labeled SPEAKER A and SPEAKER B) discussing resilience and perseverance—reframing mistakes as opportunities, pushing through setbacks, avoiding people who drain enthusiasm, and accepting that challenges persist when building something.
I fucked up everything I've ever done 100 times. There's no other way to do it.
And I've had a bunch of shitty breaks. Everybody has. But you got to realize when you have those shitty breaks what that is. It's an opportunity for you to reassess, reboot, get better, figure out another way. And the people that look at those challenges and go, why do I always have these challenges? They're cancer. Those people are dangerous to be around. They will rob you of your enthusiasm. They don't give you any fuel.
Mistakes are opportunity. If you're not making mistakes, you're probably not trying anything new or trying anything challenging. Life is always going to punch you in the face no matter what you do. It's going to get all of us. So stop using your excuses to not do things and understand the journey is always going to be hard. Those that fight through it certainly make it further in life, but don't think the problems and the issues go away. In fact, they tend to get bigger and more expensive with time. You may as well get used to them now if you want to build anything.
