Joe Rogan talks to someone about what separates champions from everyone else: an all-consuming obsession with the work itself, not money or status. The people who expand what's possible are the ones living their craft like psychopaths, grinding harder than anyone else.
There's people out there that are just working harder than everybody else, and they're going to keep doing it.
Yeah.
And that's their grind, you know? And those people are super valuable because they change everybody's perspective of like what's possible, what to strive for, and what it takes. Like, do you really want to be a champion? Why? Because you just want to be cool. You want to be the coolest guy on the block like that. You're not going to win. You're going to find some fucking psychopath who just lives it. It's, it's their whole life. And if it's not your whole life, get out.
I love following guys like that that just think big. Some people ask why I don't work after selling a company, and I'm like, you're the guy who bought my company, still working 100 hours a week, you know what I mean? It's like, it's funny watching people's perspective.
