John Wetmore scaled his agency by replacing complex automations with simple forms that agents fill out. The forms feed into a backend system his team manages, making workflows repeatable without requiring technical skills from agents. Simplicity and standardization are what let you grow without managing difficult people.

I'm really good with like automations and things like that and process internally. What I learned is most agents and most people who want to build an agency aren't. So we have a system internally on things we run, but then we had to make something that was very duplicatable. Teaching someone automation isn't very duplicatable, but creating a form that every agent could fill something out on that could then come into my system and my staff manages, that was very scalable and duplicatable because I could just give you all the form. But you don't need to know shit. Just fill out this form when you hire someone and all the magic happened in the back end, you know what I'm saying? So it's like if I tried to teach exactly what I did, they wouldn't have been able to run the whole thing. I'm like, and y'all manage this. So I try to split it up and go, how can I make this insanely repeatable? And my guess is most of y'all are looking at whatever system you have and it's like, can it be duplicated? Can it be copied very easily? Because with agents, they're pain in the ass and that's not going to change. The other side of it is we're all pain in the ass too, and that's not going to change, you know what I'm saying? So for me, I always have to try to make everything as easy as possible.
