I was showing my kids a bunch of videos last week and from when they were little and most all of them were us playing in the elementary school field across the street on the weekends. And that's what I did with my kids because that's what we could do, right? And I was tired of that. So one day I get a letter that says like, hey, you're behind on some payments, $1,000 a month. And these are the kind of payments where if you don't make them, the police show up. Child support, alimony, like if you don't pay that crap, the law gets involved. I was mad. So I started like throwing shit off my table. And at this point I'm running 8, 10 appointments a week. And I'm coming from the in-home world. So driving to clients' houses, going to sit at their kitchen table, like that's how I grew up in the business. And I'm mad because this bill, and I'm like, I don't know how to pay this $1,000. And all I could think about was the negative. What am I gonna do? This is gonna mess me up. And now keep in mind, it's for my kids and I'm pissed. So a buddy comes in, my greatest mentor, his name's Mike. He's like, what's up? And I show him the letter and he goes, are you really this mad over one application a month, bro? Just one comment. And I got pissed, like at myself, 'cause I'm mad over one application a month.
