John Wetmore explains why he keeps his written goals visible on his desk and where he makes calls. Seeing them constantly reminds him why he started and stops him from quitting when things get hard.
I've learned some things about people that do goals, and I think they do them poorly because they just write crap down on a piece of paper and never look at it again or look at it every once in a blue moon. Most people who have goals tend to have them just written down on a sheet of paper. Maybe you have them with you, maybe you don't. I keep them on my desk and I also put them where I dialed. So every day I was dialing, I would watch my goals. So when I wanted to stop dialing or punk out, I would be looking at what I really wanted to achieve. And that would, for me, keep me going because I knew if I stopped, I would be less likely to achieve those goals.
