Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to continue on with the Ask Joni series and I have some wonderful questions. Let me start in with.
Jill o'. Neill. She says how can one's future children be interpreted in the birth chart, specifically each specific child. Also, can you determine how many one may have? Yes, I do this all the time because so many people will come in and say, tell me about my children. And of course you can't say all the children are the same. They're also very different. So you always go to the fifth house to look to see the children, how many children they'll have too. Sometimes it's just depicted by how many planets are aspecting the fifth house. Now sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't, but I find it works a lot. For example, I have three planets in my fifth house.
And I have three children. One of them is the sun. And when the sun is in the fifth house, invariably you usually have a boy and not always, but sometimes the first born is a boy because the sun S U n equates to S O n. But sometimes if there's planets in the 11th House, they're aspecting the fifth, sometimes planets the that are even aspecting by trine or anything like that. But planets in the fifth house will reveal a lot about your children. And it's interesting because all three of those planets in my fifth house represent a different child, the characteristics of that planet. So first, when you're going to the fifth house, it tells you about all of your children, your ability to have children. Jupiter and is the planet of children. So having a strong Jupiter will tell you whether or not you'll have children in the first place. If it's debilitated, it's a strike against you, but that doesn't cause you not to have children, but the planet that rules the fifth house, plus planets in the fifth house and planets aspecting the fifth house tell you your ability to have children and the possibility of how many. And also.
You can tell if they're girls or boys, depending on if the signs that rule the fifth house or the planets in the fifth house are male or female. And of course we're going to think of Mars as boys, the sun as a male Venus, Moon as girls. But the signs are very important and this can be very confusing because half the time you're going to get one and the other, so you can't really decide. But, but basically the signs that are male are going to be the air and fire and the signs that are female are going to be earth and water, okay? So, and the firstborn will be the fifth house. That's the firstborn. Then you count three houses from that. So five, six, seven. The seventh house will be your second born. So of course, the second born will be a bit like your spouse. The third born will be three houses. You continually take three houses away. So you'll go from the seventh to the ninth, seventh, eighth, ninth. The ninth house will be your third born. Therefore, the 11th house will be your fourth born. Continuing on around. But not only do you just go to that house and look at it, what you do is you make that house the new ascendant. So if you're looking at your third born child, you go to the ninth house, you make it the ascendant, and you read that chart as though it were their chart. It works perfectly. So you would read their chart as though it were their chart, including even the transits that may be occurring in your chart. So the ninth house would be the first house in any planets in the ninth. Or, you know, continuing on around, even if you go to the third house could tell you because it's seventh from the ninth, when your third child would get married. You see? So that's the answer. And there's more to it than that because there's also a divisional chart called the SEPTUMSHA chart, the D7, that tells you more about children. So that's a lot. There's a lot to it. So next, I have.
Someone asked about the dark moon. Now, I don't know if they're talking about Vedic astrology. I believe you're talking about, and this is Julia somebody, okay, about how the dark moon is said to be negative in Vedic astrology. I just want to explain what the dark moon is. Dark moon is when it is close to the sun. The moon is close to the sun because the closer the moon is to the sun in a chart means it's close to the new moon. And if you have the moon opposite the sun, it means that you were born under a full moon. And as the moon goes from sign to sign away from the sun, it's building in light. So a bright moon would be when you're born under the full moon or when the moon is in the signs, not exactly opposed, but maybe five signs away or six signs away from the sun. You have a very bright moon. And this, this reveals that somebody has a bright consciousness or a full awareness. They don't need other people to tell them what to do. They can see clearly, because just imagine the fact that the moon illuminates the sky and when it's full you have a bright sky, the darkness is illuminated, which means there's clarity. And someone that has a dark moon, I feel like they're very introspective. It's not bad. And in Vedic astrology they act like it's bad. Yes, it's more difficult, but to me the moon can never really be an enemy in a chart. By being dark it just makes someone much more introspective and need time alone. But they're very psychological and deep. A lot of people with the dark moon get into psychology and things of that nature. So that's just what I wanted to say about the moon. And there's so many other variables, but that's basically the mindset with it. Let's see.

Ahuja said, Can K2 Maha Dasha ever be good? If so, how? How does one prepare for it? Of course it can be good. It depends on, you know, every single planet. Don't start reading all this stuff on the Internet because it'll scare you to death.
Every chart is individualistic and it depends on how Ketu is placed in your chart, what sign, which house, and most importantly what people don't realize. Ketu is a seven year cycle, but it's going to be those sub cycles that really change it up and really make it difference and have a completely different experience. So when you look to the Bhupti planet, depending on how it is placed from the Maha Dasha ruling planet, Ketu in this case will reveal what it's all about, what you're feeling. So in other words, if you're in the Maha Dasha of Ketu and you have the Bhakti being five placements from where Ketu is, counting from Ketu, then that would be a positive, it'd be fifth house experiences. So it's really the funnel point will be through the Bhakti, the sub cycle that will give you the result. But overall Ketu is the Karaka for moksha. And what it forces us to do is to go within so we can better look at ourselves. And the importance is to grow spiritually. So many times people get into Ketu and they become into metaphysics and astrology and all the things that they can discover more about themselves and learn spiritually. But if Ketu is placed in the eighth house, it is conjunct Mars and aspected by Saturn, all these malefics, then it will be a time of lessons, difficulty and loss. So you've just got to really understand where it's placed. If it's in the ninth house, it could be wonderful for travel, spiritual development. It really depends. Depends on your chart. So.
Let me take some more.
Okay. This Noelle Julian wants to know my thoughts on Joy Tish gems. I did do a video on gems, a couple of them. And I do believe gemstones have power. It's just many, many times you can find that these gemstones have been heat treat and even their owners have owned them and they don't have the most positive energy. So it's very temperamental.
And you can't depend on a gemstone. Here's another belief of mine. This would mean that only people that had the money to afford a gemstone can benefit from them. That's crazy. But at the same time, you consider that the kings and queens knew the power of these gemstones. The they had the pure ones. And think about the hope diamond. That diamond, that blue diamond, I think was one of the biggest diamonds. Everyone that came in contact with it died. It had some kind of power. And I don't know if it was cursed or how that all works, but it is a fact that even the guy that was transporting it on the train or something, he died soon after. So these gemstones do have a certain power, but you've got to be careful because they must be. It must be the right stone, the right gemstone. And you know, there's a whole philosophy around it. And sometimes they're good, sometimes they're not, and sometimes I've noticed they don't do anything. So.
It'S very interesting, the whole philosophy of gemstones. But I do think they have to be pure. They have to be the precious gemstones, which they can't be a substitute. In other words, you can't. A ruby is the gemstone and a garnet is not going to be enough.
But I have had people that have had miracles happen with gemstones, so I can't discount their power. But I've also seen people that get them and nothing happens. I know I had a client a long time ago that said she got a diamond the minute she put it on. She was in an accident and she blamed the astrologer for it. I mean, that you can't really, you know, say it was the diamond. But sometimes it deals with the power of our mind and what we believe as well. If we believe it's going to help, it will. So I'll leave it at that.
Another one.
Andrew B2 said, Does an aspect predict meteoric rise from.
Hovel to.
Novel to castle. Anyway, the one aspect, you know, when people have trinal aspects from Jupiter, they have luck, they have fortune. And the most important trinal aspect, I believe, that works is when you have Jupiter and Rahu in a trine. They're pretty amazing and will create a rise, especially when they're activated by both the transit of Jupiter and Rahu or their dashas.
Because I've done some work with looking at lottery winners. I mean, that's a pretty extreme rise from rags to riches. And I found that the aspects that were the most potent were the Jupiter, Rahu and them being trine one another. And a third variable, let's say you have Jupiter, trine Rahu in your birth chart and Jupiter and Rahu come together and trine them, that will create a pretty extreme rise. Okay.
Okay. Sam Miles said, could you please do a Vedic chart reading on Bruce Lee, his legacy, philosophy and death? I just did. It's going to come out soon. I just looked over some of the variables concerning his death. I think you'll be. I think you'll be interested.
Natural. Debbie said, in what ways can a debilitated Saturn in Aries, that retrograde natal chart, act on being exalted? How does that happen? And I find that to be very, very true. It's so exciting when you discover you've got an exalted planet and then you hear that, oh, if it's retrograde, it acts like a debilitated planet. That's disappointing. I was excited. I had an exalted planet. No, but and vice versa. I do find that debilitated planets that are retrograde, yes, they create great problems, but later on they become like an exalted planet. It's almost like you overcome the difficulty that the exaltation, I mean, the debilitation gives and you make it your strength because you're forced to focus in on it. And likewise, an exalted planet. Sometimes people can be over the top too much with an exalted planet, and the retrograde will slow it down and bring it down to Earth and not be so exalted. It does have an effect, but they're still going to be powerful planets regardless if they are debilitated or exalted. So if you see any of these planets that are like that, exalted or debilitated, retrograde or direct, they will be a focus throughout life. That's something I can assure you of.
Okay. And.
Ravender Sharma says.
I cannot see the outer planets in the Vedic chart. Pluto, Neptune and Uranus. You got if you have a program which sometimes some of these free ones online, you don't have the choice. There is a place where you check them so that they will be on. On the chart. Okay.
And I use Parashra's light and there is a place to check them. So I have them on all of my charts. Okay.
Okay. Flower Remedy says.
Why in the tropical chart? My Rahu and Saturn in Virgo. And in Virgo, 9th house, but in Sidereal it's in the 10th house. Why do the houses change? Because when you're working with the tropical chart, you're probably using the Placidus system and they are not equal houses.
And so the Vedic chart that I use, I use equal houses. So it depends on with the Placidus chart, sometimes you have two signs in a house, whereas with the Vedic chart, you only do one sign per house. So planets that stay in one sign that in your tropical chart could be in a different house. Well.
Land in the equal house system. Land in the same house in the sidereal Vedic chart that uses the equal house system. And I think somebody else asked me something about.
The different house systems, because there is some choices that you can use different house systems. The Placidus in the Vedic chart. And. And I'll talk about that later.
Francis Famulot. Boy, you must have famulat in a good place. Are fixed stars in the same place for tropical and Vedic? No. Remember, the whole zodiac falls backwards. And what I love about the Vedic system is that it's true to the stars. Therefore, the heart of the lion, Regulus, which is around 5, 6 degrees of LEO, sidereally is going to stay in Leo. Whereas in the tropical chart, Regulus is.
They think it just entered Virgo. It's at 0 degrees of Virgo. I think that's impossible to. Because when you look at the fixed stars, they've got to be relative to the star groupings they're in, such as Regulus has to be in Leo. And these are the placements in sidereal astrology, they stay true to the stars. Whereas the eye of the bull, Aldebaran, it's got to be in Leo. I mean in Taurus, not in Gemini. And then when you go to Antares, Antares being.
The heart of the scorpion, they think it's in Sag. No, this is all messed up. These fixed stars stay true. But remember, just like the planets, everything falls backwards 24 degrees. So do the placements of the fixed stars. Okay? Okay.
Loan audits. Cal M LMH says how can earthquake be predicted. Are they the same as hurricanes or tsunamis? An earthquake I find the most significant thing with earthquakes. I look to the outer planets many times. It's not always 100% but I have a chapter on this in my book Secrets of Prediction. Talk about world events and I talk about many of the earthquakes. The one in San Francisco, the one in Japan and there's always something about Uranus, Neptune with this. And actually what was so interesting when I looked at the San Francisco earthquake, I think it was 1906.
Uranus.
And Neptune were exactly opposed and Mercury was at the exact midpoint triggering those two oppositional planets. And Uranus was relative, very powerfully placed in the earthquake that happened in 2011 in Japan. So you're going to find these outer planets and the faster moving planets are the trigger, such as Mercury triggered that long standing opposition of Uranus and Neptune. So I find those outer planets, particularly Neptune, believe it or not, is one of the indicators for earthquakes. I know it doesn't make sense, but when they talk about Poseidon throwing his spear to the ocean floor and it shook the floor, that's symbolic of tsunamis and earthquakes. So yes, tsunami is a part of an earthquake. It is the earth changing and vibration. But hurricanes and hurricanes are quite different. Hurricanes deal a lot with Rahu and Ketu and I'm noticing a lot of them deal with water signs and Gandanta planets, which Gandanta planets are when a planet is in the last few degrees of water. And I know it's also considered the first degree of fire, which is Gandanta, which actually relates to drowning.
But it was the time of when the hurricane hit Houston and then the, that year, Houston a couple of years ago. And then a week later it hit Florida, another one. And that was when Rahu and Mars were Gandanta in Cancer, which means there were 29 degrees of cancer. So yeah, you'll see there's many things, but those are the main variables that I know of.
This is a fun one. Angie wants to know. Angie H. Should I look for tropical or Vedic signs for my tarot readings? Well, you know, I used to, I'm. I used, I do tarot cards, I've done tarot cards as long as I've done astrology. And.
I must say that when I was doing western astrology I looked at the tarot cards in that, in that relative, in that way. But I have to say that I believe the sidereal system is the true placements and where the planets really are. So at this stage of my life I would definitely look at the sidereal placements relative to the trow card readings you're referring to. So with that all of these questions, I hope I have answered some of your questions and I will keep this going. So thank you for joining me.
