Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about this wonderful new moon that's going to be happening August 16th. So interesting because this new moon sits right at a critical degree. 29 degrees of cancer. Yes, I'm doing sidereal Vedic astrology. It is not going to be that degree in western. But remember I'm talking about the astrology that is true to the stars. The stars stay in their signs and Nakshatras. The stars move together in unison and stay. That's why they're called fixed. But let me just say this is going to be a very critical new moon. Planting the seed for something very new that is going to change our world. It means it's out of control basically and it has the representation of drowning and that can actually be literal or, or it can be figurative. So people feel like they're out of control.
And another thing about this 29 degree, it's hurricane season in the US so this means this is going to be a treacherous hurricane season around the month of August. Look out, get ready, be prepared.
And another thing is when I look at this new moon, I mean it is in the sign of cancer. Cancer rules them or the moon rules cancer. So this is going to be a new moon of many changes, high degree of sensitivity. And yes, people are going to be extreme, extraordinarily emotional over the top. This is incredible. Venus is close by to this new moon. But Venus is retrograde. And this deals with so many things that deal with love relationship. And if I could get down to what Venus in cancer retrograde is all about, it's about that people have a need to feel secure in their relationships. If there is any question whether or not your relationship is secure, lasting, in a good place, it will be tested remarkably so. So this is the level of what everyone is being tested about. Are we going to be secure in our relationships? Are we being told the truth? Is it going to last forever? I need to know if I'm secure. High degree of sensitivity. People are going to be so.
I don't know, testy. Everything's going to upset them. So be aware of how you choose your words and how you interact with people. People are going to be on edge. That's what I guess I'm trying to say. And around this time, Mars is very close to Mercury. And Mars and Mercury in LEO deal specifically with our self expression, how we express ourselves. And Mars with Mercury can be a little bit combative if I could say so. And I'm saying that there's a lot that's coming up, especially in, in the world of actors and acting and media because LEO is the sign of self expression. Mars, Mercury, things are going to get heated up. And not to mention Saturn is opposing this, Mars and Mercury while we have this amazing new moon. But the most incredible aspect with this new moon is the fact that Uranus is less than a degree from an exact square. So it's pretty much exact. Uranus sits at almost 29 degrees. It's 28 degrees 49 minutes while the new moon is 29 degrees 099 minutes. They're less than a degree. And Uranus is the planet of sudden, unexpected changes. So let me remind everybody I've said all this already in my August opening for the month because this new Moon is critical, because Uranus is squaring it. And Uranus deals with sudden, unexpected events dealing with Earth changes, probably.
Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, storms, emotional storms. But these storms are going to be very destructive.
This isn't. This is a serious time for you to heed warnings. If you're being told there's going to be a hurricane come your way, you better take it seriously. This is a serious, serious new moon with Uranus squaring it, meaning expect the unexpected and be prepared. Okay, this is what I need to tell everyone now. Also.
This new moon does take place in the Nakshatra called Aslatia.
Aslatya is a Nakshatra. That symbol is a snake. And all of us kind of think, when we think of snakes, sneaky, underhanded, not being totally on the up and up, right. Well the snakes do have a positive connotation. It's not all Bad snakes actually are part of the medical staff that represents healing. So, so we are going through a major healing with this new moon. Being in Aslatia, a salacious Nakshatra is also ruled by Mercury. So it deals with trying to convince somebody of things or being very convincing. You know, a Salacia people, if you have planets in a Slatia, you're very good with business. You, you can really talk people into things. Great in sales and things of that nature. But it does still have a connotation of being sneaky. So people are not real trusting during this time. People are unaware, people are afraid and they're afraid of what their security and how much we all need protection. So if you're going to talk about this in a global way, it could be that we need protection. There are some sneaky aspects of government.
That could be in war and attacks, that's another thing. And expect the unexpected. So this new moon will set the, the tone for what else is to come in the month of September. So September is where everything will culminate and happen that we've been kind of afraid of.
So be ready, be on guard. But most of all want you to come from a spiritual place and raise your consciousness.
Because you don't want to circum to all the fear that's being rampant in the world right now. I have to give you warning that people are going to be fearful.
But don't buy into it. You're going to be okay. When you come from a place of trust and healing and higher consciousness. This is how we're going to weather these stories, storms, if I could say that. So.
Be protected and heed warnings and you'll be just fine. That's my message for this new Moon that sets the stage in the new beginnings of the radical shifts that are here upon us about to happen in the months of September, October, November.
