Joni Patry explains the new moon occurring in the early hours of Aug 23, emphasizing its natal qualities: the Moon is conjunct the Sun (a new moon), currently at 6 degrees. She notes the moon is now waxing (increasing in light), which makes this phase suited for beginnings and planting seeds, while cautioning that it's too early to expect results. Patry characterizes this new moon as monumental and indicative of a potential radical change because of the Sun–Moon conjunction.
