Cancer Ascendant Everything you Want to Know!

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today, I'd like to talk about the sign cancer. And for those of you that have cancer as your ascendant, this means that the moon rules your ascendant. And cancer is a water sign. It's actually a cardinal water sign. Cardinal means action. So this is a very sensitive and emotional sign, being action oriented and being a water sign. So cancers are probably the most sensitive sign of the entire zodiac. And because you think of it as a crab, the crab has a hard exterior, but is moosh on the inside. Therefore, they don't let people know when they get hurt, but they get hurt a lot. They really protect themselves and do not let other people know when they're hurt.

So the moon, because it rules the ascendant, many times, people with cancer ascendant can be very well known in their fields or famous. It's probably one of the most common signs that we have, people that have great notoriety or fame. So the moon is so important, it rules the first house. Wherever the moon goes in the chart is incredibly important.

Now, the sun rules the second house. The second house being the house of finances and money, and the sun being a potent, powerful planet, it gives light. So consequently, people with cancer ascendants can be very productive, very wealthy, very ambitious. And what I'm trying to say is they do very well financially.

With cancer Ascendant. Mercury rules the 3rd, and Mercury rules the 12th house. So cancer ascendants can have problems with siblings, brothers and sisters, because third house rules siblings, but the 12th house is losses. So you see, there can be some issues and problems around brothers and sisters, particularly younger ones.

There's also a love of travel to foreign places, because the 12th House represents foreign lands and countries, but the third House represents traveling. So travel to foreign lands and foreign countries. It's also a great learning and interest in different cultures and different places around the world. So Venus rules the 4th, and Venus rules the 11th house. Remember, the planet that rules the 11th house will be problematic, especially when the ascendant is a cardinal sign. Cancer's cardinal. So Venus causes many problems, and there could be some problems around home, family, sense of security.

And because the the same planet that rules the 11th house of great gains can. Does rule the 4th house. This can be that they will own expensive and good and beautiful property. Venus is beauty. So the career can be relative around property or land, because the same planet that rules the fourth house rules the 11th house, that they can make money off property in real estate. But sometimes there can be the mother, can be very beautiful and very prosperous, but will be pretty dramatic and can cause some issues throughout life.

Mars is the best planet for cancer ascendant because it's what we call the yoga Karaka. It rules the fifth house and the tenth house. The fifth house is the house that deals with creativity. It is a triconal house. It gives many blessings. Luckily, good karma in this lifetime and the fact that it rules the 10th house, they fall into a good career that is productive and lucky and financially viable. And they could even do something with investing by the fact of the fifth house ruler ruling the tenth. Or working with children or something creative with their career. Teaching is part of what they're good at doing. But most of all, Mars is the planet that brings incredible good things in their life. Why? Because yoga karaka planet means that planet all by itself creates a raja yoga. It's the yoga of kings. So wherever Mars go brings them great things in their life. Even though Mars is a malefic, it becomes what we call a functional benefic. But it's a natural malefic. But because it rules the good houses, it functions as a good planet. So that's benefic.

Jupiter. Jupiter by the fact that it rules the sixth but the ninth house. So it, it has to be good because it rules a triconal, the ninth house, even though it can create problems and have enemies, and particularly around the area of teachers, there can be a problem, sometimes conflicts with the sixth house being the ruler. And sometimes they can have dealings with lawsuits or something to do with the law, because the sixth house can deal with contention and fighting and sometimes lawsuits. But the ninth house deals with the law and the truth. And it also deals with, with winning legal battles because that would deal with legal representation. So Jupiter as ruler of the 9th and the 6th, they can sometimes have problems with their father because the sixth house rulership as well as the ninth house relative to the father.

So another thing about the sixth house, because it rules our health. So the planet that rules the 6th House of Health and Healing also rules the 9th House of Luck and fortune. So generally they will have good health, good strong, healthy bodies and care about their bodies and physical health and keeping themselves fit. Saturn is not so good because it rules the eighth house. So it is a malefic for this ascendant. But when a malefic planet rules an angle, it can to some degree lose its power to do harm. And I have seen where Saturn is just not as bad of a first rate malefic. You would think it is by the fact that it rules the eighth house. It becomes somewhat of a malefic, but doesn't create the problems that you would suppose.

So Cancer as an ascendant really doesn't have planets that are that malefic for the chart. They seem to really be okay. And so.

Probably the worst planet, I might say, would be Mercury, because Mercury, ruler of the third, is like the third house. I know it is an Upachaya house, but it is a mild dustana. It does cause problems in the 12th house. It is a problematic house. And so therefore Mercury could probably cause more problems than the other planets in this chart.

But with Saturn being ruler over the seventh house, sometimes they can be drawn to a partner that could be older, or it could mean that they are just simply more mature, older, acting. So what are the best planets for Cancer ascendants? The Moon because it rules the first house. Mars because it rules the fifth house, and Jupiter because it rules the ninth house. So Moon, Mars and Jupiter are the greatest planets for Cancer as an ascendant. And because this is such an emotionally charged sign, please be aware that that they get their feelings hurt very, very easily. But you'll never know the truth on that.
