Eclipse Party Interviews: Ray Merriman

Well, hello, everyone. Well, today is the day of the solar eclipse here in Dallas, Texas, and I decided to have an eclipse party. And lo and behold, I have one of my oldest teachers going way, way back. As a matter of fact, I was 19 years old when I met Ray Nariman. He came to Dallas to do a conference. It was a weekend workshop, but it was intense.

Yeah.

You did the evolutionary astrology course.

That was when I first started.

We won't date it, but it was one of the first periods of my life when I was into the spiritual side of astrology, before finances.

I know, I know. That book was awesome. It's like we charted the eclipse, actually.

The prenatal eclipse before you were born.

Yeah. What were the planets nearby and what were the planets surrounding the moon?

It was brilliant.

It was brilliant because the whole concept was where this eclipse full path was over right before you were born. That's where your last lifetime was.

That was the theory. Yeah.

And guess where mine was.

Dallas.

Where?

India. Oh, does this make sense? Yes. And so I do Vedic astrology from India and Ray, of course, I started with Western astrology. And we want to talk right now about the eclipse energy as well as all these incredible events that are happening in April, which is the Jupiter Uranus conjunction, which is happening on the 20th, and in two days we've got the Saturn Mars conjunction. Now when we talk Western and Vedic, the conjunctions, the aspects all happen at the same time. It's just they're in a different sign. So I would love Ray, for you give your dissertation about what you think it means for all three of these major aspects.

So I think there's four stages here going on that apply to no matter what type of astrology you got. Mercury retrograde, 4-1-26. So right away you're dealing with, from my perspective, policies in government, policies in banking like Fed Reserve Board, where they totally change the narrative. First it's going to be lowering interest rates because, you know, interest rates are too high and it's going to stifle the economy. Now all of a sudden, Mercury goes directly into talking about, well, we may not have interest rate cuts throughout the year, but you know, when Mercury goes direct, they'll go back again. Yeah, things go back and they'll talk about they're going to get those rates down. They're going to live up to their promise of two cuts a year, I think. So that's a big thing. Mercury retrograde into disinformation changes the policy and re changes again. And then you Got the eclipse today.

I know.

And that's big. Is the eclipse, it's north. No, you call it Rahu. Yes, I have neglect Rahu eclipses, I.

Understand they give, but with the price. That's how I say Rahu gives.

And this is a, this is an intense one because it's not only in eclipse with Rahu, but it's also in the coast with Chiron.

Wow. See, I hadn't looked at Chiron and.

Chiron is a wounded healer. Well, in order to heal you got to get wounded. And it's in Aries. And two days after this you're going to have the Mars Saturn. Right. Which is a warlike rhetoric in Aries with the eclipses in Aries. So there's a lot of Martian energy going on. And then as you point out, Joanne, you've got the Jupiter Uranus coming up which is the biggest aspect of the year 14 year cycle.

Oh my God, it's amazing.

It's a magnet. It's like pulling all the markets to new heights. Uranus keeps boundaries. Yes. It doesn't see a boundary that it doesn't want to break.

That's right.

So here we got all time highs in the Dow, Bitcoin, gold, silver's making a three year high. Copper is the highest price in one or two years and crude oil is breaking off the highest this year. All these breakouts are happening which is here and I think it continues, I think this Uranus continues acting like a magnet to the market.

I agree. And one thing I didn't mention is Ray is a financial astrologer. He is, I mean the tops in his field in this. So when he talks about the economy, I pay attention. You know your stuff, you've been doing it for quite some time.

I've been very fortunate with that. I think right after evolutionary astrology got introduced to markets by my clients who wanted me to secure away from the stock markets and, and then I met Walter Bresser from Arizona whose partner, Jimmy, business partner, is here tonight at the party that you're hosting. And he got me into gold and that became the basis of my first book. The gold book checked out the correlations of gold price. The first quantitative study done on planets with the markets. We had a lot of moon studies, but nothing but planet studies.

This is so perfect.

And that's the only time I met you, like 70s, early 90s, something like that. Because that was my transition from evolutionary to financial and I still adhere to the principles of evolutionary stories. It's a spiritual path, you know, you Are every moment in time is its own unique quality. Anything born of it takes on the quality of it. That's still the basis for astrology for me. You can't have a horoscope without a karma. The horoscope is your karma and your death and your dharma, really 100%. And you went that path and you've done really, really well. You've become a world renowned astrologer in the spiritual field.

Right. But the Vedic astrology, yes.

And I moved on to the financial. And I love financial because it's one of the few studies where you can get objective data. You're not looking at something subjective in the everyday. The world is making a. You know, they're in the market. So you get highs and lows based on emotions. It's not subjective, it's objective data. And that's what attracted my Virgo rising. Whether you're critic or not by Virgo.

Rising and you want to analyze.

I want to analyze it. I enjoy it. You know, seeing how these things fit together in patterns, that turns me on. And it's nice, you know, you make money from it. But it wasn't the money that drove me, it was the.

I love that. It's just a challenge, like putting puzzles together.

I totally get that. I do the same thing. I love the puzzles. I love figuring it all out. And you know, with the Vedic, I'm looking more at not so much the financial, which. The financial is everything. Money makes the world go around. It really does.

You know, it's important as food and repair.

It is.

You really need to have it. Can't survive this in this world if you don't have financial support. I mean, it's so much easier to make choices in your life, spiritually, psychologically, ethically. If you have financial security.

I agree.

So it's important.

It is very important. Listen to that sound. These are the sounds we hear when eclipses go on.

I always tell my clients that I always say you hear more sirens when there's an eclipse.

And there it is.

That would be just what I say. Because they're so intense.

Especially in Aries.

Right, exactly.

Well, Aries in Western anyway. And Mars, Saturn, either way.

Well, we've got a little reversal here, which is very interesting because the eclipse is in Pisces, but the Jupiter Uranus is in Aries for us. So there's this new beginning with the. I look at Jupiter Uranus as a new beginning, the awakening. That's what Uranus is to me, the new awakening. And so in Aries it's a new beginning. But the eclipse being in Pisces means the old is dying. The old is going away for the new beginning because Pisces is the very last sign of the zodiac. Pisces is. It's even in the last nakshatra, the 27th chakra, which means endings opening up for the new, for the Jupiter, Uranus, great awakening. And then between that we've got in a few days the Saturn Mars conjunction, which means that is like boom. They come together, force and resistance force.

This is immovable and powerful force and the immovable object and they just butt heads.

They do. But you know something about people that have the Saturn Mars conjunction in the birth chart, they never give up.

They better not. And you better not rely on anybody else to do things for you. If you want something done, you got to do it yourself. With Mars and Saturn, it's desire to get something done. And Saturn says, I can't rely on anybody else that'd be self sufficient.

That's exactly right. Put those together and what do you get? You get a successful person in the long run because they don't give up and their diligence and persistence are going to stay through to the end. So I think this is a little bit of the energy that we're experiencing regardless what sign they're in. It's just those energies of Mars and Saturn. It's so powerful.

I think the lesson there is, you know, you can choose a path of getting it done if you want to do it yourself, or you can put the full space you want by relying upon other people who are going to delay you.

Yeah.

So you got your choice, do it yourself or put your dependency on somebody else who's probably not going to do as well as you do.

I agree, that's true. So interestingly enough, he's western, I'm vedic, but of course when we come together and talk, we come up with the same ideas. It's like they merge together. You're going to get a different tool, but you're going to get the same outcome, which I find is fascinating. And.

Well, the thing we shared in common though is the aspects of planets.

Exactly.

Regardless of signs the planets are doing what they are in relationship to one another and that's the action of the planets.

That's exactly it. They're the energy, they're the force. So yes. I'm glad we had this talk together.

Yeah. I'm so glad the energy is so intense right now. We thought we needed to come together and relate and see what we could find together how everything's merging and everything's changing the world is changing and for the better that's what I believe don't.

You Ray I'm very hopeful about the future once we get past what I call it the Aries vortex Saturn and Neptune can jump together I think that's.

Yeah that's what about May or March.

Through May February of 2026 give or take a year that to me is the bottom of this divisiveness okay started with the Jupiter Saturn conjunction ends with the Saturn Uranus Conjunction 20202032 the Midpoint 2026 Saturn Neptune I think that's the bottom and I'm very hopeful after that that we start coming together as a.

World community I am too so it's not it's not that far away we.

Can do it within throughout this long we could be paid another year or.
