Events That Changed the World Forever: Death of John Lennon

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about some more incidences that were riveting and rocked our world, changed the world.

And many of you may not have been born, but I was definitely born. And I remember exactly where I was when I heard that John Lennon was shot and killed. I mean, the Beatles, they made such an influence on all of us from these times. And yeah, I remember exactly where I was. I was working a flight. I was a flight attendant at the time, and I was working, and I was in the back alley of the airplane when I was told by the other flight attendant. I don't know how they knew, but I even remember I was like, on an overnight. I mean, going on an overnight. And it was so sad. But I was flying from Dallas to Amarillo, Texas. What an exciting trip was that. But, I mean, these are so telling, these events that we remember such details about where we were when we got the news.

So let's look and see what's going on in John Lennon's chart on this faded, horrendous, terrible, depressing day, which was December 8th in 1980. So let's put up the chart of John Lennon. I mean, what a talent, what an amazing person, and what rebellion did he create in the world? He did not stop from saying craziest things to stir up controversy. He was a very controversial individual. So looking at John Lennon's chart, he has Pisces Ascendant and he has Ketu right on the Ascendant. Makes him feel disconnected from the world for the most part. He has a very seventh house, which to me it means the group, the Beatles coming together. That was his power, that his partners dealing with the seventh house were so very powerful. So going to his seventh house, he has Mars, Rahu, sun in Virgo, and Neptune, because Neptune is very, very close to his Mars, which could make him outrageous in many ways. And believe in imagination. That's, you know, one of his great songs, Imagination. Imagine the World. That's very Neptunian, very idealistic. And believe it or not, back when that song came out, they said it was evil. Imagine that somebody's singing about.

I mean, things such as.

Letting go of attachments to this world. And actually the guy that killed Lennon actually said that that song upset him the most because it was hypocritical. Here he's saying, imagine the world with no possessions. And here John Lennon was so wealthy. That was one of the reasons. But let's just face it, the guy was really, really sick and sane. But.

But we won't talk about him. So going to John Lennon's chart, his moon is in capricorn in the 11th house. This is groups, organizations, the public, and very publicly known. But going back to his seventh house, this is the power of this group that was brought together. And I think it's very important to know that he was born during the time of the Saturn and Jupiter conjunction in Aries. And, you know, Saturn was debilitated in Aries, but I think it's being exact with Jupiter uplifts it. And furthermore, the fact that they are both 20 degrees means they're in planetary war, which is UDA. So they say that the brightest star usually wins, and in this case there's a fight. The one that is lowest in satirical degree or highest satirical degree wins the war. It's like, I've read all sorts of different interpretations of this, and I think it's the one that is in the lowest degree. Regardless, here is my experience with the that they're always fighting against each other because it is in a planetary war. And I don't think either one ever completely wins this war. So they're in the second house, but they have brought him wealth and prosperity. And they do oppose Mercury, which is in the eighth house, which can bring out his research, his deep findings, but his dark side as well.

But let's talk about the event more than anything, because this is what we're here to talk about. And you know, I think Jupiter probably, if I had to guess what planet, going back to the planetary war, the planet that wins the planetary war in his chart is the planet that is highest in satirical degree.

Which is Jupiter at 20 degrees 19, where Saturn's 20 degrees 1119 is a higher degree. So Jupiter wins. And I say this because it rules his 10th house. I mean, 10th house is fame. This man was one of the most famous people in the world, if not the famous during that time. So this is important. Now going to the day December 8, 1980, Mars, of course, rules guns and violence and attacks. So going to where his Mars is, put it in the chart. It is 18 degrees of Sagittarius. And I think it's very, very interesting. There were so many planets at 18 degrees on that day. As a matter of fact, Rahu was 18 degrees of cancer and Ketu was 18 degrees of Capricorn.

And truly, if you look at the fact that Mars goes six placements from where Rahu is Mars in the sky to Rahu in the sky during that day, they're in a 6, 8 relationship, which is the most devastating and deals with accidents, deals with attacks. And this was an incredible day, that this day influenced everyone and how they felt with this horrendous event. But how it hooks up to his chart is that if you'll notice his Rahu and Ketu are just about 18 degrees. He has Ketu at 17 degrees 59 minutes and Rahu at 17 degrees 59 minutes. So basically 18 degrees Ketu is in Pisces and Rahu is in Virgo. And if you'll look transiting Ketu aspects by its trinal full bodied aspect which Ketu sends to his natal Rahu, losses, its losses. So and Transiting Rahu at 18 degrees of cancer is aspecting his natal Ketu. So it's interesting to look at the Rahu and the Ketu and how they are aspecting his chart. But on top of that the big trigger here is Mars. Mars is always a trigger and Mars is violence. And the fact that Mars was 18 degrees of Sagittarius, it sits right at the midpoint of his natal Ketu and Rahu in his chart. And I think it's so significant that Mars lands in his 10th house, transiting Mars is in his 10th house at the midpoint of Rahu and Ketu. Which represents what.

That the public everyone was affected by this horrific violent attack. That's where you can see that in John Lennon's chart. Now for one more interesting detail, I want to put up Yoko Ono's chart here. And looking at her chart, it was actually.

Devastating for her in so many ways. But I think you'll find it interesting just looking at her birth chart.

Jupiter which rules the seventh house, she has a Virgo ascendant. Jupiter rules the seventh house because Jupiter rules Pisces. Jupiter, the ruler of the seventh goes to her twelfth house of losses.

And if you will notice the that her natal Jupiter is conjunct Ketu, Mars and Neptune. And Mars in her chart rules the eighth house.

Jupiter of course is in the 12th loss of her partner. And it is conjunct Mars, ruler of the eighth. And on top of it Ketu brings with it great loss. And and additionally on top of that Neptune being right next to Mars represents a didn't see it coming nor does she understand it. So it is so telling to see Yoko Ono's chart to understand that the ruling planet for her partner, which is Jupiter, goes to the 12th House of Loss is conjunct Mars, which rules the 8th House of Death. And it's tied up with Ketu which represents losses as well.

As Neptune of deception illusion.

That is so telling. But the thing that I found really interesting about Ono's chart is the fact that.

The year that this happened, January of 1980, they're transiting Mars went retrograde and stationed at 21 degrees of LEO. Now I talk a lot about planetary stations. When a planet stations at a certain degree, it is in effect and affects that chart for over a year, probably almost to the next retrograde station. And Mars goes retrograde about every year and a half to two years. So my point is with this you pay attention to the degrees that they station Mars stationed January of 1980, which was way before the event, at 21 degrees of LEO. If you plug it in, it sits right on her natal Mars, ruler of the 8th House in the 12th, afflicting Jupiter, which rules her partner. And one more note I want to add to this that was really telling about her chart was the fact that that year.

There was a solar eclipse that happened almost on her birthday. She was born February 18, and the solar eclipse happened February 16, 1980, and it occurred at 3 degrees of Aquarius, which her sun is right there at 6 degrees of Aquarius. But at the time of that eclipse, Rahu was six degrees of Aquarius exactly on her sun, which is in the sixth house of Axis accidents, struggles and difficulties. And the sun in her chart rules the 12th House. So it is important to always look not only at the transiting planets at the time of an event, but always to look towards the planet's stationary degrees and the eclipse for those years. Because there's only 2 degrees that we have an eclipse, a solar eclipse each year. Those degrees are pertinent to that entire year. Don't forget that. So with that I'd like to close.
