We don't know what's going on, but we've got it now. So everybody out there, get ready because we've got an exciting interview here with Carol Allen. And what we're doing is. I'm starting to do these interviews so that everyone that's interested in coming to the conference Future of Astrology, that we're going to be talking about, what's going to be going on there at the conference, who's going to be speaking, what they're going to be speaking about, because. Because this is really the first conference that really does take astrology from the ancient wisdom and science and puts it into the future in the future context. Because, you know, all of this information is. It's changing in terms of our culture and our environment and how we live our lives. So astrology is so important, and it's a way that we can really help others. So I wanted to bring Carol Allen on. She is a famous astrologer, Vedic astrologer that can really help people with relationships. Hey, Carol, I want to say this. This is really amazing. You just had your anniversary. How many years have you been married?
21.
There you go. I'm not going to listen to.
I'm 29, isn't it?
I mean, I'm not gonna listen to somebody about relationships that they haven't ever been in one or if they divorce three times. Right.
I mean, well, honestly, when you've been divorced three times, you know how to do everything wrong. Like, you know, you know the pitfalls to tell people to avoid. I have wonderful friends that do this work that have had horrible love lives, and they're very, very good at it. It's sort of like saying, I don't want to go to a mechanic who can't drive. Or he might still be a great mechanic, but. But it is good. I mean, I will say I draw on my own experience so much because, I mean, I don't know about you, but most of us that help others, we were our own first customer. We got into the thing that we are into because it was first so helpful to us. So with my first astrology reading, I came crawling on my hands and knees and lips, you. You know, over broken glass. Because my life was so confusing and I wasn't sure where I was headed and I didn't know what I wanted, and my chart just had all the answers, and I was so blown away that I then wanted to be in the other chair. I wanted to be the person giving the answers instead of seeking the answers. Yeah, but. So, I mean, you're so sweet to give me that acknowledgment, but it's really not a requirement.
Well, you know what, that's great you said that. Because a lot of people that may have been through bad relationships and they're feeling, well, is there hope for me? And you're saying absolutely, yes.
Oh, God, yes. Because it really does take having a skill set. Great relationship require. Great relationships require great skills. Michael Jordan. Yes. He was, you know, he was the right physicality to be a basketball player. But he then practiced and studied and had coaching for a million hours. Okay? He didn't play a single game without a coach. And so for us to expect that we can do the most important thing in life without anybody's help, and that all of it should just be inborn and up to us is a really unfair expectation of ourselves. And then we have all that shame when we don't do well at it, and then we beat ourselves up, and then. And then that only erodes our self esteem and our self confidence all the more. And then when we try to show up the next time, we're even more going to sabotage it because all of that is what we bring to it, you know? So. Yeah. So you've been married a nice long time. How long have you guys been.
I know, I can't tell because most people haven't been on the planet that long.
But you're so beautiful, Joanie. It doesn't matter. You got to inspire. You've got to inspire everybody, too.
Okay, well, thank you for that.
Blondes make excellent wives. Thank you.
Well, tell me a little bit about yourself. I mean, everybody's curious to know your background and how you got into this. Give me some. Give me some background. What. What's your life about? What got you into all this?
Oh, boy. How much time do we have?
So, you know, this is a really powerful path, right? And when I got started, it was before the Internet. Heck, it was before the home computer. Okay. We were like, we were playing with palm fronds and you know.
What are those things where you like, look, you count with marbles. Remember that? Abacus? And abacus. Yeah. So. So I had moved to LA and was trying to find myself. I was in my quarter life crisis. And I worked with a woman who had a birthday party. And I went to her birthday party and she said, oh, my God, there's going to be this amazing astrologer there. But he doesn't do normal astrology. He does something called Vedic astrology. And I said, well, what the heck Is that. And so, so long story short, she told me she had been going to him for over a decade and that he was absolutely astonishing. So I had to have a session, of course. So he did like little party readings for everybody. And I had a session and then I had a full session. And it absolutely said everything I was going through. I mean, it absolutely blew me away. And I was so lucky, Joanie, because this was the early 1990s. Hello. And this. And at this time, Vedic astrology was virtually unheard of unless you were living in an ashram setting, unless you were a Hare Krishna or unless you were a devotee of.
Yogi. You know, Paramahansa Yogananda. Right. Who's. Whose guru wrote about Vedic astrology because he was an astrologer studying this kind and practicing this kind. And so he wrote about that in his book Autobiography of a Yogi. So. But otherwise, if you were anybody else, which was most of us, you would have no reason to hear of this. There weren't mainstream books about it. There weren't people on the radio talking about it. Well, I was so lucky because I was in la. And it just so happened that the man who gave readings at that party was a teacher at a school that was six blocks from where I was living in my little West Hollywood apartment.
Wow.
Because I wanted to be in his seat. He said, oh, we'll come to the school. So I went to the school and it would be five of us and at a time in a woman's home drinking herbal tea for $6 for a two hour class. And it was so thrilling. And the teachers were some of the greatest Vedic astrologers at the time in the country. So people like William Levassey, Drew Lawrence, Steve Stookey.
Oh, golly. The man who wrote how to read your horoscope. His last name is Kantadas. I can't. Nalini. Nalini Khantadas.
Tom Hopke was his original name.
So, so wonderful. And then we would have visiting dignitaries from India, we would have visiting teachers from India. And then of course, Chakrapani was one of the regular teachers there. And then my dear friends, long gone, George Roman. And so we had more. And so the training was so personalized and so rich and in the moment, you could ask questions. And so as soon as you asked me to teach at this, I got so excited because that personal experience, that sitting at the feet of somebody who's done 7,000 charts or 7 million charts, sitting in a room full of other students that are as excited as you are, you don't get that anymore. I mean, that's now. I mean, the thing that's so great for everybody now is they're not calculating by hand. I mean, that was hard. I'm not gonna lie.
I did that as well. Yeah.
Yeah. I was horrible at it.
Right?
Yeah. So, like, maybe your chart says, you know, your. Your prince is gonna show on March 2, and if you had me calculated by hand, it would say you're gonna die, and none, right?
So.
So now everybody can, like, use computers, use software, go on the Internet, take training that way, watch incredible YouTube videos like this, huh? And you still don't get that personal connection. You still don't get that same powerful experience. And so it's so. It's so sad that that's mostly just not available now. I mean, there's still big astrology conferences, but usually they're Western, and they don't usually invite.
They don't like us. They see us as, you know, the other team or the, you know, the bad guys. But really the problem is we're better and they know it. I'm kidding.
I have to say, the best astrology reading I ever had was with a Western astrologer. She was so amazing. But what I have to say is so brilliant in terms of Vedic astrology is the specificity. You know, so much detail was lost from Western astrology. The church was very successful at burning all the books and all the astrologers. I mean, by the 1820s, you couldn't get a Western astrology book in its original language anymore. And that's just never happened to Vedic astrology. So integrated with the culture of India and with the main religion of India, it's considered a blessing to get your chart read. And we, Joni, are thought to be high beings with high consciousness.
So doing God's work and, you know, I have to say, doing this work, it really does feel. It's such a beautiful way to connect with people, and it's such a big responsibility. But I'm so grateful for that insight that I had sitting across from that first astrologer, because it's just been so gratifying. So I went to the school for a million years, started going to conferences so I could meet even more committed students like you. Started making a lot of friends with other astrologers. And what happened in my practice, because I quickly started giving readings, is everybody wanted to talk about love. Everybody wanted. And I know that happens to you too, of course, right? Even with. And you have all those other bells and whistles up your sleeve. I mean, you can do, like, stock predictions, and you've been brave enough to do presidential predictions way ahead of time. I mean, you know, stuff I just can never wrap my brain around. So I don't even try. But what Vedic astrology is so profound at? I mean, really, any of it. And they have been arranging marriages in India for forever, and still do, you know, it's still 90% of their marriages are arranged. Can you imagine? And they consider it a sign that we live in a dark time that women choose their own husbands now.
Okay.
Isn't that hysterical?
So I think that's so funny.
Yeah.
So. So. So I quickly recognized that I needed to become more informed about relationships because it was all anybody wanted to talk about. So I dove really deeply into the techniques of relationships, and I took really advanced courses just on that. And then I did a ton of looking at famous couples to see examples where we know the whole story. The cute meat to the big divorce or the death. Right? Or we know, you know, we know how many kids they had. We know what happened to them. And so I started studying tons of famous charts. And it was so fascinating. And I got. I have to say, it's like hairsplittingly accurate, these techniques. And what I find in talking to people about astrology, there's a lot of misunderstandings when it comes to the topic of love, especially around the idea of compatibility. Who am I echoing now? It sounds like I'm echoing. Can you hear me echoing?
I can feel it.
Oh, good. Okay, good.
This is fun.
Okay. You're so cute. What I quickly noticed is everybody just wanted to talk about compatibility. And if I said a couple was compatible, they would think that that was some sort of guarantee, right? That that meant they were. But then they would get, like, a hard training or a tough planetary period or something would happen and the relationship wouldn't necessarily make it. And then they'd come back angry, like, but you said we were compatible, right? And so. So I quickly recognized there was a whole other side to things. And what's amazing is that.
In the ancient books of Vedic astrology, when they talk about relationships and they talk about how to select mates, so they're talking to the parents, right, of how to choose. And they're always talking to the men. Let's be honest. In the ancient books, you're right, we are maverick. In the whole history of Vedic astrology, were women. And this was simply not done. Right? But anyway, so they're talking to men and they say when selecting a wife, it's much more Important to choose.
A bride that has a good horoscope than to choose a bride who there's the perfect compatibility. Okay? So more important than compatibility is a little thing called relationship capacity. And I learned this from our dear friend Ernst Wilhelm, right, who is one of my advanced teachers and he really emphasizes that. And I've seen this, you know, bear out in my practice and in my life with all my clients again and again and again, is if you have ideal compatibility, right, you have like dreamy chemistry and you know, that feeling of connection and rightness and ease and you want all the same things and you're headed in the same direction and your families are all for it and your friends think, you know, it's great if both people don't have good relationship capacity. If they're not generous, if they're not steady, if they're not, if they're not patient, if they're not committed, if they can't hang in there when the going gets rough. And that is why when they hit a tough time, it can be party over.
That is why, you know, when we go through challenge, this is when it's sometimes harder to avoid our lower natures, right? When we're in our fear or we're in, you know, financial difficulty, career struggle, temptation, that is when the weaknesses in our charts might tend to come forward, right? And so some people, their wiring, their, their inborn design just kind of sets them up to make poor decisions or let others down. And so, so learning all of that stuff has completely changed how I talk about relationships. And so that's what I'm going to talk about at the conference. And so what I love about the name, the future astrology is the past of astrology in this country especially is very like sun sign astrology, right? And it's also very, hey, when it comes to relationships, are we compatible? Are we compatible? That's all anybody wants to know. And if so, yay, there will be love, right? But what I want to help everyone understand since, since the idea is these are other astrologers coming or other possible astrologers, right? These are people that are going to use this wisdom to help others or already are, is I want to help everyone understand what's the priority. And I, I've coined the term the five critical keys to love. So there are five crucial astrological things that need to be looked at before you can really truly give like a thumbs up to a relationship or a thumbs down to a relationship. So that's what we're going to talk about. And then we're going to look at some fun examples of famous couples. So I'm really excited and I'm super grateful to be invited to the party and it should be really special. Should be really special.
Well, thank you.
Yeah, so that's some of my background. A whole bunch of other stuff happened, but I won't bore everybody.
Well, I think it's hardly boring. I think it's very exciting. The fact that you were so lucky to be there in LA with, I mean, all the. Those people that I admired, they were like movie stars to me back in.
The day and, you know, crazy. And they all became dear friends and I couldn't believe the generosity of my early teachers. You know, they would give me computers and give me printers and give me books and answer all my crazy questions and, you know, I would finish like a Saudi sati cycle. I would. I would finish like a really painful Saturn thing and they would take me out to dinner, they would give me presents. I mean, it was really. It was really.
Yeah. And when I met my. My dear friend Ernst Wilhelm at a conference, it was like meeting a brother. I mean, it was so. And I was so. I was so obnoxious because I was so used to being. At the time, you know, all my teachers were older men and the conferences were mostly men and a lot of people with, you know, very serious and a lot of spiritual teachers and adepts on spiritual paths with spiritual names. And I was kind of the valley girl in the ripped jeans with the planet patches on. You know, I was used to being like the weirdo, like the interloper and like the kid. I was used to being the kid. And there was Ernst Wilhelm with me at a. In a big conference hall at a big lecture of Dr. Charik, the medical astrologer from India. And he was, he was, you know, giving a big talk on health and astrology. And I kept chiming in and then this kid across the room kept chiming in and gosh darn it, he was younger than me and he had a ponytail. I was like, who's that? Wait, what? You know, and everything he said, I was either about to say or had said a different way. I mean, we were like, wait, huh? Yeah. And so, so he really took my training, like, to a whole other level. So, yeah, that was really, you know, that was really.
That was one of the reasons why I wanted to have this conference because so many people, the only way that they learn is through these videos or, you know, it's great that we have these interaction interactive videos which we will Take some questions at the end, guys. But I mean, it's just like for so long, nobody gets to meet in person anymore. And like you say, the Veda conferences are far and few between. They're all the Western. So this is a chance for us to really all come together and you can come ask us questions, you know, and, and having a dinner at my house Saturday night. So I want everyone to really, you know, be able to come together and pick our brain, you know, I'll never forget conferences. It was so cool that I think I learned more at the bars than I did in the classes at those Western conferences back in the, in the 80s and the 90s. I mean, it's true, because you can ask, you know, what's the. What are you guys really thinking and what does this mean? I forget asking David Frawley, you know, how do you really do this? At one of the conferences? And he was like, really? Okay, that's the way I do it. But that's not the way the books say.
That's great. That's great. Yes. Yeah. I would tackle people in the hallways and get extra handouts and you know, get recommendations of books to read and yeah, it's just really, it's fun. It's great.
I know. We are going to have so much fun. You are amazing. I mean the information and relationships like you say, that's something that I don't think anybody has a handle on like you do. So this is going to be thrilling to have you here and give all your little tools and techniques that are. That, you know, I can't wait to find out. And here I'm going to share all my stuff about prediction and, and the other thing is I've got an all day workshop, Carol, that I hope you're gonna, you're gonna get up in the morning. Get, get up in the morning for. Remember, mornings are not your favorite time.
I know, but I'll be there anyway.
Cause I'm.
I'm at 8am.
All my secrets and it's things that I've never read in a book. I mean there's, there's stuff that I stumbled upon that I was just like, I don't understand how this works, but it works. You know, that kind of thing. So this is gonna be a blast. And.
Well, yeah, I mean, one of the things I'm gonna talk about is not only how can you tell relationship capacity but what are key coordinates in compatibility that people often don't know, like who's gonna pursue who. Right. Because it isn't just that oh, well, men always pursue and women always say yes or no. Especially these days, right, where all the. All the rules are sort of out the window and. And women will call me and they'll be like, well, he isn't calling and he isn't pursuing me. And I'll look and I'll say, sweetie, this is a really cautious guy and you have the faster process. So how about you? I don't know, how about you reach out and see what happens? And I've had that go really, really well for people. People just understanding these things. I had a client almost break up with a man because he wasn't proposing. They'd been together a long time and he wasn't proposing. And I said, listen, he's a step by step moon and Virgo. Sun, Saturn. Slow poke, right? So. So helping her see this wasn't personal. I think that's the gift, especially of astrology. Any of these divination systems, numerology, palmistry. It just takes so much blame and shame out of our lives to understand. Oh, this is why. This is this way. And this is why I can't be mad at my partner. They're not doing this to me. They would do this to anyone.
Right.
So this is who they are, you know?
Good. Well, I have some things I want to share or either you can straighten out with me. There's. There's certain aspects that I thought usually mean a relationship don't work. But I want your opinions. We have got a lot to talk about. I can't wait. And all of you out there that have questions, I mean, do you want. Do you want to look over and see if there's. Can you see the questions right now? Carol, do you want to answer?
I just see the one that I wrote.
So.
Let me read some of. Some of them because I can actually see them.
Yeah, I don't see any. Sorry.
Okay. Cass Cassidy, she says twin flames. Yes, I've heard it may signify emotional issues. Wow. I really enjoy reading Vedic astrology. Great, good. So relationship compatibility and compatibility aspects. That's what Jesse Lynn wants to know about. And Beth wants to know about Western versus Sidereal. That will take a while, but we'll go into all of the procession and all that. Let me just say this. Western uses the tropical system, which is based on the seasons and the sun. And. And every year you've got the sun in a certain sign, tropically, according to the seasons. But sidereal astrology is based on the stars. And because the stars are constantly moving and they've moved backwards from 2000 years ago when both zodiacs lined up. We are almost 23, 24 degrees backwards in this and the zodiac difference. So the sidereal astrology is based on the astronomical stars, their emotions, whereas western astrology is based on the sun and seasons. I hope that helps. Okay.
All right, so what are you relating? What to what? And western you're relating the earth to the sun. Vedic, you're relating earth to the stars. And that's how astrology began is, is observing the stars and yeah. And over time the earth is spinning really quickly like top, but wobbling very slightly. And so we've slightly shifted in our position to the sky. Ancient thought the sky was changing. That's where, that's that children's story of like Chicken Little and Henny Penny and the sky falling comes from is Ancients looked up and you know, every, if they went out the same day every year and looked at the constellation above the horizon, they, they were expecting it to never change. But it's slowly shifts and shifts and shifts and shifts. And they were like we're going to die.
But yeah, to stay astronomically literal, which is what the Vedic system does, you have to use the sidereal zodiac. And there's arguments for both. And I've had great readings, as I said in both, a lot of people relate to both their charts. But if you want hair splitting accuracy and like, you know, real nitty gritty stuff, if it's life and death, go to a Vedic astrologer.
Sorry, I'm with you. Of course. That's why I made this shift over. I did western astrology for 20 years and this.
Right, I forgot. Right, right, right.
So. But you know what I tell people that don't want to go into all the technical stuff. I say, hey, western astrology will tell you about your personality where Vedic astrology will tell you about the soul. And it's the one to use for prediction. That's what I tell people. So let's see, there's a couple more questions. One person, which I think it went up, I thought had a good question about.
The, let's see, about the Nakshatras. Okay.
Which you wrote a whole book about and I created a like 11 hour program about.
Right. I mean that's it. It says how important is the Nakshatra compatibility or the score you get in Vedic moon compatibility? Can you answer that one?
So the Nakshatra compatibility is the most important thing and you're comparing moon to moon. The score you get is the least important of that technique. That's a 15 step technique. And one piece of it is you get a number that's between 0 and 36.
That's a CUDA system. Is that what you're talking about?
Yes, yes, yes. And ideally you want to be at least, you want the number you get to be at least 20. The number reflects your overall wavelength score if you're, if you're going to have easy agreement with somebody, but you can have easy agreement with somebody that you don't love. So it doesn't show that, that first person's question, the twin flame thing, it doesn't show that soulmate kind of feeling or that depth of affinity. It just shows will you have easy agreement. Right. So there's so much to that whole techn technique. And so if you get a low score, you know, it's not ideal, but it doesn't mean it's like the end of the party. There's a lot to weigh and evaluate in that technique. And that's part of what I'm going to cover at the conference.
And Jennifer Rowan said, Joni, if we can't attend the conference. I see, I see. Can we can purchase videos off different parts of the conference? Will the video are linked include both the 2019 and 2020 predictions? Yes, we have, we're going to have recordings that you can purchase after the conference or before. But we have it so that you can buy either the whole conference or you can buy one day or you can buy the 2019, 2020 predictions. So that will be on the conference website, which is futureofastrology.com okay, let's see if there's anything else to answer here. I mean, let's see in my solar return chart, the solar return mid haven, this is what Kay Floyd said is the exact conjunction with my natal Ascendant. What will this bring me? Do you know the answer to that? I don't think it's about relationships.
Well, I mean the ascendant is the self and the midheaven point has a lot career. I mean honestly I've never seen thought about that kind of correspondence. I mean, I wonder if it's something.
Yeah, it's not relationship. You know, the 10th house is our social standing and our career. So that's another whole ball game. We're talking about relationships tonight.
Guys.
Can I answer the twin flame question while you're reading the other ones? So you know there's this, this notion of something called twin flames which by the way the Betas do not talk about.
Right.
And it's the idea that there's. That half of your soul.
At one point was broken off, and that there's only one other entity in all the universe that can make you feel truly whole. And. And I spent an entire day researching this, this. This topic and this term, twin flames, because people think it's the highest, highest possible love, and then it's the most special. But the question was, I've heard it creates difficulty. So what. What a lot of the writings I read online had to say about it was that a twin flame relationship is so intense and such a profound connection that it brings all your skeletons out of your closet, it brings all the boogeymen out of you that need to be healed, and that. That can be very challenging. And so twin flames come together to, like, initiate each other and stir all this stuff up, and then often that's the whole purpose of the relationship, and then they don't stay together. Anyway, I got to tell you, here's what I really think about twin flame. I think the idea is. Is. Is a beautiful idea, but. But I don't like promoting the twin flame idea. People will write to me and they'll say, well, I've met a soulmate, but I'm not sure it's a twin flame. So I think I might break up with him. And I'm like, good God, are you kidding me? Are you lucky enough to found someone you love that. That feels familiar, that feels easy, that. That you can have a great life with, that you care about, that you respect, that respects you? I mean, like, I. I want everyone to. I don't want to say lower your expectations, but. But if you're holding out for perfection and this idealized, like. Like dream, then as soon as you have a human misunderstanding, or as soon as somebody trips over one of your triggers over theirs, or they're in a bad mood, you're going to decide they're not your twin flame, right? Like, you're going to.
And I just.
I see so many spiritual people, Joanie, alone, and part of it is they're very sensitive, right? So they take all of this harder. They're often introverted. You know, they're the meditators. They're the dream journal keepers. And I love all that. And I'm that girl, too, right? And, you know, those. I read studies, and those who end up happily married really do treat it like a job, and they really do take it on, and they really do create the space in their life and implement a strategy and go for it. And those of us married decades, right, like, most of Us really had to learn how to communicate, how to set boundaries, how to speak up, how to honor ourselves without being dishonoring to the other person. I mean, I don't know about you, but I used to be kind of a banshee. Okay, So I used to be kind of. I would get snappy, I would get a little bossy. I have a lot of Mars energy, which we'll also talk about at the conference. And my poor husband, you know, sometimes had to slink away, and then I got some skills, and I. I don't do that anymore. So, yeah, we all learn.
You know, we live and learn, and I think a lot of that deals with maturity as well sometimes. But I have two good questions.
Oh, good, great.
One of them, Jessie, Jesse wants to know if, does Jupiter, does Jupiter influence relationships for women, in your opinion? Oh.
Jupiter rules husbands in marriage, so heck to the. Yeah.
And.
And Jupiter is just the planet of, like, healing and blessing of anything. And so when it comes along to the house of partnership, when it comes along to the ruler of the house of partnership, these are indicators or are one of the pieces of a few that are required of what I call a season of love. Right. And so, absolutely, Jupiter is important. 100%.
Yeah, I agree totally. So another good question. It's very imperative. To the right here and now.
I open the window because it's hot.
One thing this is. This is the most imperative question I think, of all. What do you think about this Venus retrograde? Is this going to influence relationships? How do you think this is going to work? And that's what Stephanie.
Oh, hi, Stephanie. So it isn't just retrograde. It's retrograde in Libra, which is beautiful. So Libra is the natural sign of partnership, and Venus is the natural ruler of the sign of Libra. So when Venus is in Libra, it's the home team on the home turf having the home advantage. Right. It's like a very happy Venus. When it's retrograde, it's actually closer to the Earth as we both orbit the Sun. So its influence is actually greater. It's actually stronger now. It can be stronger. You know, James Callaher says it's like you get a surge, but you might not. You might need a surge protector. Right. So. So what can happen when. When planets go retrograde? The reason we all sort of go, oh, no, you know, Mercury's in retrograde is we get this surge of energy around this thing and then, you know, all of our computers frap out or our cell phone dies or. Or A contract or an agreement we made goes sideways, right? Well, when Venus is retrograde, retrogrades are all about looking at what needs healing and what. What's unfinished from the past. What things do we think are done with that kind of come back and sneak up on us and we're like, oh, but it's a beautiful time to. I love retrogrades for going inward and saying, what's going on with me that I need in this area or what do I want in this way? And. And so with. With Venus, of course, it's around. It's around Venus things. Venus. Venus is the planet in astrology that symbolizes love, pleasure, sensuality, sex, romance. It also, though, is discrimination. I mean, Venus helps us decide what. What's a good idea, what's not a good idea. Venus is diplomacy. Venus helps us charm people and influence people and sell people on the things that we want, right? And so when Venus is in its own sign retrograde, it's an amazing time to get insight and awareness into what you need around all Venus things. You know, anything you desire, Venus. Venus helps satiate all of our desires. So I don't know about you, Joni, but Venus in Libra is a blessing for all of us because it's the planet of socializing, fun, abundance, luxuries in its favorite sign. So as soon as that happened, I got all these opportunities and I'm making more money and I got, like, the best blue dry yesterday I've ever had.
That's meanness, for sure. Makeup, hair, all of that. Right?
But, you know, it's a time to beautify, and it's a time, but not just, like, externally. It's also on the inside. Like, what kind of joy have you been denying yourself? What kind of desire have you been saying no to? Are you. Are you that spiritual person that's alone in your tower and you need to come out? Now, I will say, when Venus is retrograde, it's not the best time to start new relationships, right? It's not the best time to meet somebody new. It's not. It's not recommended to marry under a Venus retrograde. It's not recommended to start anything really important new under a Venus retrograde. So I'm not a big fan. You know, it rules vehicles, it rules real estate. I'm not a big fan of, like, buying a house under a retrograde Venus, you can certainly figure out what kind of new decorating you want or new, you know, you want a new carpet. You know, figuring, doing the research for things under a retrograde Venus. I mean, I could talk for hours about retrograde, but.
Okay, well, I have one last question because we're going to close after this last question, but I think this a good one because this is relative. So Cass T. Wanted to know, is Ketu in the seventh house? Does it indicate unsatisfactory partners throughout life?
Oh, boy. Okay, so K2 is. Is. Is not a planet. It's an eclipse point. Of course. It's known as the south node of the Moon for anyone who's never heard of it. And. And that is used in the Western system as well, though we use it a little bit differently. And I will say K2 in the seventh house. Seventh house is partnership. Ketu there usually does create one or at least one big dissolution of a partnership. So there's at least one big loss. I'm sorry to say, Cassie, It's. You know, so if that's happening, it's not your fault. The thing to. The thing that it indicates, K2, is very spiritual. It's called the Planet of Moksha. You know, liberation, enlightenment. So it can indicate that you're drawn to spiritual partners. It can indicate you're drawn to people very unlike yourself. K2 can indicate unusual, foreign, countercultural. Now, so that's all. The higher octave of K2, then the more. More challenging aspects of Ketu is. Ketu can be flaky. Ketu can make things stop. Start. It can make the rug get pulled out from under you. It can make you feel like you're trying to, you know, build a house on sand. So what I always recommend to my clients that have this is really take your time before making commitments, get to know people over time and say yes to people that you don't think are what you want. Like, if somebody says, oh, I know this great guy and he's. He's. But he's older, say yes or, oh, I know this great guy, but, you know, he's from, you know, another country. Say yes because. And by the way, if it's a great girl, hey, maybe say yes at that. Right? So. So when, you know, when K2 is in. In the mix, in your. In your chart around love, there's always something unexpected. There's always something unexpected, but it just might be the thing that leads you to your greatest enlightenment. So it's not always negative, but it does require more awareness and more time. So take it slow.
Yeah, I'm with you 100% on that one. You're so right. So this has been a blast. You are so much fun. I cannot wait to Be here, and we can really dive into all of our studies and, you know, share experiences and tools and techniques. So everyone out there, I really, really want you guys to come, if you can, to our conference so that we can, you know, go back to the old days where we get to talk and share and, you know, as Carol says, sit at the feet of the master so that you can learn and understand. Understand all of this. And it's live. We're here to answer everyone's questions. So, Carol, I'm well.
And the lineup, I mean, Joni, it's, like, astonishing. The other teachers, like, their resumes are so incredible. I'm really honored to be among you and really grateful. So it's going to. And, you know, like, the caliber of the wisdom is going to be off the chain.
I didn't really plan. Well, I did kind of plan to have all women at first, and then I thought, no. And then all the guys that I invited, they didn't cut. They didn't come, or they couldn't come. So it ended up being all women anyway. So I think this is kind of an amazing, you know, change, because, remember when we started studying, I mean, it was unheard of. There were so few women that were the instructors in Vedic astrology. So times have changed, and I think we can put a new bent on things. But let me just say this doesn't mean that guys can't come and learn so much. The only guy I have speaking is my son, Austin. He's the only guy that. That agreed to do this with us, so.
And he's adorable. Ladies, come on down.
Definitely that, but of course, I'm partial, I have to say. So, anyway, once again, guys, thank you, Carol, for coming in and sharing your knowledge.
Thank you, Joanie. This is super fun, and I'm really excited. I'm really excited. All my favorite people are from Texas, so I can't wait.
Thank you.
Can't wait to have some sweet tea with y'. All.
Yeah. Your husband's from Dallas, so I love that. Yeah. So we're gonna have a lot of fun. So I'm gonna close with this, but please, guys, if you want more information, if you just came on, the conference is futureofastrology.com check it out. See the speakers, see the program. It's October 5th through the 7th. And another thing is Dallas is easy to get to. It's centrally located. The hotel is fabulous, and the dinner at my house, I'm looking forward to. To having so much fun, to share, socialize, network, and. And become good friends.
So that's what the cheapest tickets are on Spirit Air, which I think is a fitting name for what we're up to, right? The cheapest airline ticket.
Oh, yeah.
The cheapest airline tickets. I just got the most inexpensive ticket, and it was cheaper than anything on Expedia or Travel.
Now we can travel for nothing. Now we can all come together. I. I'm. I'm. It's amazing. So let's do it, guys. Let's all get together and have a blast and really get to know each other in Vedic astrology. So with that, I'd like to close. Thank you, Carol. Namaste.
Each other. Thank you, everybody. Namaste.
