GOVERNMENT SCANDALS EXPOSED — MAY 6-7: Pluto Turns Retrograde

In this solo YouTube commentary, Vedic sidereal astrologer Joni Patry explains why the upcoming Pluto retrograde (around May 6‑7, 2026) is astrologically significant. She first addresses the skepticism of using Pluto—a planet not traditionally employed in Vedic astrology—by describing her method of incorporating outer planets as generators of generational trends without assigning them house rulerships. Patry outlines how outer planets, especially Pluto, shape collective unconscious patterns over long cycles, and how their stationing (the moment a planet appears motionless before turning retrograde or direct) marks a potent moment of societal and personal transformation. She links Pluto’s historical discovery in the 1930s to the rise of atomic energy, framing it as a catalyst for explosive, transformative events. Currently, Pluto is in Capricorn, the sign governing government and authority, and in the Shravana nakshatra (the ear), which she interprets as a call to listen to truth about power structures. She predicts heightened revelations of governmental corruption, scandals, and power struggles coinciding with the station. Patry also offers personal guidance: listeners should notice over‑reactions, use them as clues to internal blocks, and engage in deep self‑reflection to unlock growth. She emphasizes that Pluto’s energy, while gut‑wrenching, ultimately removes non‑growth‑producing attachments, leading to major transformation. The video concludes with a call to join her newsletter, Patreon, and study programs for deeper Vedic astrology learning.

Hi, I'm Joni Patry, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about Pluto as it turns retrograde, and this will happen around May 6th 6th or 7th, around that time. And Pluto is not normally used in the Vedic system, and people are going, 'Well, what's she doing talking about Pluto? She's a Vedic sidereal astrologer.' I find some Vedic astrologers do use the outer planets, and they absolutely do work. Remember, everyone, I was a Western astrologer for 20 years before I converted to Vedic astrology, but I found a way to use the outer planets without destroying the perfection of the Vedic system. I don't use them as rulers of houses, so that's the key. You cannot use them. But the outer planets are the planets that dictate generational changes. They, they rule the collective unconscious, so they are what create the trends in our society, because whole generations will have the outer planets in specific signs for long durations. Pluto can stay in a sign from 12 years up to 30 years. And why is it that it's got two different variances? Because it has an elliptical orbit, and the closer it gets to the Sun and the Earth, the faster it's it stays in a sign, or the less— that would be about 12 years. And then as it gets further out and away, it could be in a sign for 30 years. But it's what forms generations, the way people think in certain groups. And as it transits in and out of certain signs during different periods, it can form trends and events. So it is extremely predictive in world events. Whenever a planet stations and turns— stationing means it's pretty much standing still because it's going from the motion of backwards to forwards or forwards to backwards. In the process, it has to slow down and stop and then go back, and vice versa when it's going direct. It can go retrograde, and when it's going retrograde, it can turn direct. And during those periods, which are approximately sometimes twice a year, that it will turn retrograde one time and direct another time, this will happen approximately 5 months apart. So Pluto will be retrograde for about 5 months. All 3 of the outer planets stay retrograde for about 5 months. And if you have an outer planet retrograde, it's simply— a lot of people do because it's there for 5 months. Practically half of the world does. But it just means some unfinished business from before, a previous life, things of that. We believe in reincarnation. When you're dealing with astrology of India. Most people into astrology do. It just makes sense. And there's been some pretty convincing, uh, realities of people that remember their past lives, children. But anyway, aside from that, Pluto— whenever any planet stations to go retrograde or direct, in other words, it standing still. It's making its mark at that degree in that sign, and whatever that planet rules, and even the sign that it's in, it will make its mark, it will make its impression on the world. So what does Pluto rule? Well, the 3 outer planets, when they were discovered, they brought into being the things that they began— that we began to understand that they ruled and were about. For example, when Uranus was discovered, it brought in the Industrial Revolution. Uranus deals with invention, and that was like when the cotton gin started, when people started using machinery, and that's what Uranus rules—electronics, machinery, the future, invention. And then when Neptune was discovered, then came photography and silent movies. Neptune deals with things that we look at that look real that aren't real. That's what a movie is. That's what Neptune rules— illusion. So Pluto was discovered in the early '30s, and that's when atomic energy came into being. Hindsight is 20/20. We look at and we go, 'Oh, that's what it brought in, and that's what it means.' And therefore, looking at Pluto, it deals with explosive events, and therefore, when it's stationing, we have more cause to believe an explosive event or something really powerful is about to happen around May 6th or 7th. Sometimes it's not as noticeable, but sometimes it is a big event, such as— I feel like Pluto can deal with really a catharsis. Pluto is the planet that is relative to the sign Scorpio, and it's relative to the, to the 8th house, which deals with corruption, which deals with scandals, which deals with deep, dark stuff. It deals with control, manipulation, power. These are all the things that are surfacing right now. Around this time that it's stationing, it will be more intense. Now it's in the sign of Capricorn. What does that mean? Being in the sign of Capricorn means it involves the government. Capricorn rules government. Whoa, have we not been uncovering the most craziest things we can't even believe that have been going on? This is crazy, but it's what needs to happen. And let me tell you something about Pluto. This is what I always tell Pluto. Every Western astrologer out there in the world thinks Pluto is the end-all to everything that's bad. Oh, Pluto, Pluto this, Pluto that, Pluto was doing it, Pluto, I went through, you know, whatever. Here's what Pluto does. I actually think Neptune's worse than Pluto. Neptune's transits, you don't ever understand why you went through it, and it's because you're blinded. And it kind of deals with like a spell's been cast on you. That's Neptune. Pluto, Pluto, I say their transits are gut-wrenching. Why? Because it will take away something in your life that you feel like you have to have. You're obsessed with it. You want it more than anything. It's what you feel like you must have. Pluto will take that away, and you think it is the worst thing in the world. Your life is over, you know. Maybe you're going through a divorce. Maybe you're— you've lost a job, something. It's the worst thing. 2 years later, you're going to look back and you're going to say, thank God that happened, because I couldn't be who I am where I am in my life unless that happened. So essentially, here's what I say about Pluto. Pluto will always eliminate anything in your life that is not growth-producing, or can I say not anything but the big thing that's preventing you from your highest growth. Pluto is not that bad. That's why it's called the planet of major transformation. And yes, Pluto does rule death, Why? That's one of the biggest transformations we make in life, but it rules all sorts of other transformations. And with Pluto being in Capricorn, it deals with power. There is so much around power that is being uncovered and revealed. There'll probably always be issues around power because this is Earth and that's what Pluto rules, But with Pluto stationing here, this is the time that uncovering happens about governments, about controls. And another thing is it is in the nakshatra called Shravana. I love the 27 nakshatras. They give deep meanings, and their meanings come from the portions of stars that are in that nakshatra. Shravana deals with— its symbol is the ear, and so it deals with listening, paying attention, learning. It's a lovely nakshatra. Pluto in this nakshatra says, listen, open your eyes, open your ears to the truth. It's here and it's now. And it concerns how we've been controlled. Pluto's control That's exactly what's happening, and there is some major awareness happening. Now, a lot of people do not want to see the truth, a lot of people. But you know what? Those people that do not want to see the truth are stuck, and they are not achieving the things they want in their life. And they're going, why am I so stuck? What's wrong? It's because they won't look deep within themselves to see what's causing them to be stuck. And always, always, I'm going to say this again, I said this in one of my other videos, that if you become emotionally charged, if you overreact to something, then you got to look deeper because that's a clue to what you're stuck with. And usually that thing that you're being overreactive to, it's not that thing, it's what it represents you. So if it's a political leader that makes you over-the-top charged— and y'all know who I'm probably referring to— people are over-the-top charged about that. It's not about that leader, it's about something that that leader or the person, whatever it may be, represents to the person. Because it's not normal or healthy to become overly charged or overly reactive about anything. It tells that there's an issue. And yeah, it's not, it's not about that person or the hate for that person. It's an issue. And if you can uncover that issue and be real with yourself, you can unblock the blocks, and you will have the life that you want. That you thought, oh, I'm a victim, I can't have these things because of this, this, this, and this. But if you wake up and look at how you've been blocking yourself, then the world in the sky opens and your life starts working, and you get the things you want, whether it's a relationship, whether it's money, whether it's a job, whether it's happiness. So my point is, Pluto stationing in the sign of Capricorn, which represents power, and government is power. But aside from it being government, it's power, and it's in Shravana, which represents the ear. If you will listen and be awake, Pluto can transform you. It's the planet of transformation by recognizing, listening shravana to what it is within you that is blocking you from your highest good that you should and can achieve in this world. Wake up. We all need to wake up. We all need to listen. The planets are simply guideposts to tell us where and when, more than most importantly, we can take advantage of their energy Peace. That's what it's all about. So with that, I think I'll close. Just make sure you know that when Pluto around the 6th and the 7th, there's going to be issues that you can look at within yourself, as well as blowups, volcanic eruptions, literally or figuratively, that are happening. Pay attention. That's what these planets are telling us. So with that, yes, I'll close.
