Short YouTube clip by Joni Patry explaining how to assess an astrology chart when the birth time is unknown: use a chart cast with the Moon as the ascendant because in Vedic astrology the Moon governs feelings and sets up dasha cycles. The speaker contrasts Vedic astrology's lunar focus with Western astrology's solar emphasis.

It really sets up the whole cyclic process of our dashas that indicate when everything unfolds in your life. So you see, Vedic astrology is a lunar based system, whereas Western astrology is pretty much a solar based system.
