Learn the Secrets of the Nakshatras, Vishaka: The Victorious

A short YouTube lecture by Joni Patry about the 16th Nakshatra, Vishaka. The speaker explains Vishaka's symbols (fork and triumphal arch), astrological boundaries (20° Libra to 3°20' Scorpio), ruling deity (a composite of Indra and Agni), and characteristic traits: intense determination, goal-orientation, courage, social cleverness (Libra influence), potential for revenge/jealousy, and a "spiritual warrior" tendency. Patry notes many with strong Vishaka placements rise to success, often later in life, and may need to temper anger or ruthless tendencies.

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today I'd like to talk about the 16th Nakshatra, Vishaka. And Vishaka symbol is a fork. Is a fork. And it really sometimes denotes that these people can give different messages. But another symbol for it is the archway, the triumphal archway, which this Nakshatra is going to get what they want. They're going to breed success, they're going to be victorious. Now this Nakshatra flanks between the sign Libra and Scorpio. And it begins at 20 degrees of Libra and extends to 3 degrees, 20 minutes of Scorpio.
But this is probably the most determined, most full willed, courageous signs or nakshatras, I should say of all. Because they have the ability to concentrate. And they are so strong willed and so goal oriented. They set their sights on a goal and they go after it and they achieve it. I think sometimes this might be some of the connotations that they think that you think of when you think of the sign Scorpio in some respects, because they are so strong willed and so purposeful. And actually this is called Star of Purpose. So they have to have meaning, they have to have purpose. And with their strong wills, they are so determined that sometimes they'll do whatever it takes to be a success. And sometimes if that means stepping on people, they're okay with it because it's so vitally important that they achieve their goals.
Now many times I say that when Vishaka people see someone that achieves what they're wanting or what they're going after, they can become enraged and very jealous. But actually what I've actually seen more than this, this is what you'll read about in the books. I've actually seen the fact that Vishaka people, people are jealous of them. Why? Because they usually rise to the top. They are the success in life. And that promotes a lot of jealousy. So instead of them being jealous, I feel like others are really kind of jealous of them. Now the deity that rules Vishaka is half Indra and half Agni. So it's enagi. And this represents the power of agni, means fire. So this is the power of fire. To burn, to achieve, to get, to have and to hold. This is what this is all about.
So one of the six stars that are important in the star that is actually a star that's extremely courageous and.
Known to achieve their goals by overcoming obstacles in called Zubin el Ghanubi. And this, this star is like, it's so it deals with the power of concentration. But I will say this, that sometimes they can be very revengeful and spiteful and unforgiving at times. So that's some of the attributes that that have to be sometimes overcome in this Nakshatra. But they're extremely smart and incredibly social and clever. Remember, most of this Nakshatra is in Libra, which is an extremely social sign, needs to be with people and loves to entertain and be part of the world. But let me just say that they are so success oriented, they will never give up till they achieve what they want. And some of the most successful people in the world of course have planets in this Nakshatra. Just they sometimes can be so overwhelmed with what they want and the direction they take their life that they don't realize the damage and the hurt that they may do to others. But because they are so strong warriors and when they don't get what they want, they can be very, very frustrated and become very angry.
They have to really temper this. But they can be very courageous and taking this to the next level. You'll find that this can be much like the spiritual warrior in life because they are warriors in achievement, in purpose and goals. But most important it is that their goals be their spiritual enlightenment. And yes, there are many people with this Nakshatra strong in their chart that are spiritual warriors. So they are going to get what they want and consequently, because of their hard effort, they get what they deserve. So they are always, always working hard, never lazy. But one thing I've noticed that's very interesting about this Nakshatra, as many people with this Nakshatra, very strong make it in the second part of their life, I guess because, you know, after a lot of hard knocks and never giving up and really pursue pursuing and staying true to their purpose and their goals, they will achieve their dreams in the second part of life. So with that, I hope you have a better understanding of the power and energy behind this most determined Nakshatra, Vishaka.
