Learn the Secrets of the Nakshatras Mrigashira Those who Search

A YouTube video (by Joni Patry) explaining the Mrigashira (Mrigashira) nakshatra: its astronomical span (23°20' Taurus to 6°40' Gemini), symbol (deer/antelope head), ruling deity (Chandra/the Moon), association with Orion (including the star Bellatrix), related myth (Prajapati/Orion, the antelope form and Shiva shooting him), and characteristic traits (searching/restlessness, love of collecting, doe-like eyes, attractiveness in children, Mars rulership). Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today I'd like to talk about the nakshatra. Morigashira murugashira. Flanks from the sign of Taurus, Gemini. It begins at 23 degrees 20 minutes of Taurus and extends to 6 degrees 40 minutes of Gemini. This is the fifth nakshatra and its symbol is a deer's head, the antelope, and its deity Asoma, which is the moon, the moon Chandra. But the stars that is relative to this Nakshatra is Orion. Orion is the stars that are in the hunter, the hunter in the sky. So this group of stars in Orion represent the hunter and a particular fixed star, Bellatrix is in the left shoulder of Orion and it represents a female warrior.
So this gives military powers courageousness, directness, but it's very feminine at the same time. And when you talk about the myth that is relative to this, this gets a little complicated. And once again, the sensuality of Rohini is brought back into this picture. So let me explain Orion, which is the sky God. And Orion was the sky God, Prajapati, Indian mythology, the world maker. And he became obsessed with his beautiful daughter which kind of reflects a lot of incestuous behavior in this nakshatra. But what you're going to find is it deals with destruction and bringing things down. Bringing things down and change, transformation. So in the myth it goes that as Prajapati became obsessed with his daughter, he chased her through a part of the sky and he happened to change forms in order to be faster, to catch her. So he became an antelope. And once this was happening, lord Shiva was called upon to shoot down Prajapati which is indeed what happened. So Prajapati came crashing down to the earth.
And this in essence destroyed what they called the oneness of the universe. So this is. This can be very violent type incestuous myth that deals with family and actually sometimes, and I haven't seen this all the time but you can find that this Nakshatra can be relative to incest in a family because of this myth. But let me talk about what this star is about. For the most part it's called the star of sun searching. And relative to the myths that deal with hunters and deers, it deals with searching for something. And this nakshatra particularly deals with people that are constantly searching. And what they find is it's more important, the chase and the run to find something, the thrill, the search rather than when they get there because once they've gotten it, it's like it's all over. Then they got to go on another search and journey for things. But this can be relative to people for spiritual information. Always searching for the meaning of life, always searching for that which goes beyond this world, searching for that which is important to them. And I might add that people with this Nakshatra, strong love collections of all kinds. So they're always searching for that one extra piece to complete their collections. That can range from people who have coin collections, stamp collections, any collection that puts them on a search to find that missing piece. Treasure hunts, searches for things to find.
And what I find though is this can even deal with women that love to shop because they're searching for that perfect outfit, that set of shoes that goes with the perfect outfit, the purse that goes with the first. They're always, they love to shop because that involves this journey of searching, the chase to find, find that thing that's the thrill. But you know, because its symbol is the doe, is the deer, you'll find that people that have this Nakshatra rising on their ascendant, their sun or their moon have these beautiful, beautiful doe shaped eyes and very wide and innocent and sweet. Because this Nakshatra is like the deer. It, it is like the kindness, the sweetness, but restlessness. They're very restless like the deer, they can't sit still. They're constantly searching and trying to find something. That's what they're all about, the search and the chase and the run. But one thing is this Nakshatra is very significant when they have children because it really does represent that these people have absolutely beautiful children. There's something about the essence in the doe like eyes, the beauty and the kindness, the softness, the sweetness that this Nakshatra does entail. So this Nakshatra, interestingly enough, is ruled by Mars because it's in the search, the journey, the going, the restlessness. I believe that this is the planet that rules over this Nakshatra. So this Nakshatra is a very active, restless, beautiful Nakshatra. So you'll want to look and see what planets you have here because it does represent an essence of beauty and the ability to collect important and beautiful things. So with that I'd like to close.
