Learn the Secrets of the Nakshatras: Uttara Ashadha, The latter Victory

This is a short YouTube lecture by Joni Patry about the 21st Nakshatra, Uttara Ashadha ("latter victory"). The speaker gives the exact ecliptic span, links the Nakshatra to Sagittarius–Capricorn, and describes its symbolism (elephant tusk), ruling deities (Vishwadevas), strengths (truthfulness, righteousness, ambition, leadership, oratory, musical leaning, responsibility, potential for fame) and cautions (rigidity, lack of forgiveness, possible loss of interest or unfinished projects). The talk emphasizes both material and spiritual outcomes, concluding that success leads to spiritual development. Closing includes links to the speaker's website and university.

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today I'd like to talk about the 21st Nakshatra Uttara Ashata, which extends from 26 degrees, 40 minutes of Sagittarius to 10 degrees of the earth sign Capricorn. So it links between Sagittarius and Capricorn. This Nakshatra Uttara means latter. And remember, Purva means former. So this is the one that deals with the latter. Invincible trait. The Nakshatras of the Ashatas are all about achievement, success, righteousness, truthfulness. This one's a little bit softer than the Purva Ashata. Uttara's a little bit softer and kinder.
And I might say just a little bit sweeter. It's just this quality.
Wanting the truth but not pushing it as hard. But of course, it's very, very.
It's ambitious. I mean, this does extend into the earth sign Capricorn, which represents.
Wanting to make things happen and be ambitious. Its symbol is an elephant tusk, which is sharp, which can cut. And it still wants to pass on information as its other half, Purva Ashada.
It's all about right action, doing the right thing, and searching for the truth once again. This Nakshatra, like Purva Uttara, still needs the truth to be known. It cannot tell a lie. It's always going to be righteous and do things right. It would pain them to be dishonest in any way.
This Nakshatra deals with the stars that are situated in part of the lyr, which deals with musical ability, you know, the musical instrument. So people with this Nakshatra strong are more prone to musical talents and abilities than the other half of the Ashata Purva. So the Vishwadevas are the gods. They are the sons of the universe and they are powerful in making things happen. And this Nakshatra can deal a lot with fame and recognition. So many famous people can have this star very strong in their chart, and they have these principles of what the universe and the teachings of the divine are all about. This is a very spiritual Nakshatra, actually. It can be very materialistic, but at the same time very spiritual.
It deals with the laws. So people with this Nakshatra strong may go into actually a field of law or being a judge, things that deal with right, action, judgment, truth.
But because this is called the universal star, it definitely has more of a sense of being humanitarian, taking care of others, following the path of truth in order to heal the planet. This is important to them, but they have to have something that they believe in. They have to have a sense of purpose. And people with this star strong are extraordinarily responsible. You can depend on them.
Because they're so truthful. Sometimes they get in trouble. They have to really monitor what is going to hurt people and what's not. But they don't even think about it. They figure the truth is the truth. Why don't you want to know the truth? So this is their belief and this is their practice. So they got to really watch out. In this instance, this Nakshatra, they do absolutely practice what they preach. You know how many times we can see hypocritical behavior? I don't think this Nakshatra is prone to being hypocritical at all. They follow their truth. That's very admirable.
But their righteousness and their sense of being so responsible can sometimes get on other people's nerves. I mean, come on, is there any.
Ways that people can be forgiven for not being exactly correct all the time? They've got to really waver their sense of forgiveness. I want to say another thing that they're really good with is their oratory skills. Just like the Purva, they have the ability to speak very well and in public. Their sense of commitment is so, so extreme. They would never ever commit to anything that they can accomplish. They're very much workaholics. When they get into something, they are going to.
Work to the nth degree to make things exactly right the way they believe it should be done. So they don't have any compassion whatsoever for others that don't work as hard as they do. It's just not right.
So because they can become so enthusiastic about their projects and their goals, sometimes when they become overly enthusiastic and things don't work out, they can give up and not finish projects. Sometimes they can appear to be lazy because they can lack interest.
But because of their stubborn and self centered ways, sometimes, you know, I can't see this happening where they don't finish their goals or what they started.
And because of the all of these qualities they have, you can rest assured that they are leaders. And they are known to lead because remember they're extremely ambitious and driven. Many times, as I said before, they can be famous. This can lead them to notoriety in whatever they do.
But they have to realize that their quest for leadership and power can sometimes be a little bit egotistical.
But they don't let down. They've got to be victorious. They this is a part of who they are and a part of their life. And I think eventually. Well, I know eventually this will lead them to being successful. And what success ultimately leads to in terms of following and finding the truth is spiritual development and spiritual unfoldment in their life. And this is where it ultimately will all revolve and lead to. So with that, I'd like to close.
