Hi, I'm Joni Petrie, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today I'd like to talk about the Nakshatra Bharani. This Nakshatra is within the sign Aries. It begins at 13 degrees, 20 minutes to 26 degrees, 40 minutes of the sidereal sign Aries. Bharani is called the bearer of life. And this is because its symbol is the Yoni, which is the female organ of reproduction.
So this Nakshatra deals with life and death. You're going to find, because the deity of Bharani is Yama, which is the God of death. It is the God of death, or Dharma. But what's interesting is in the mythology.
Yama was one of the first to be sent to Earth as a man and to go through the death process. And what this Nakshatra has a lot to do is about because its symbol is the Yoni, the reproductive organ, the womb, that it deals with birth, but at the same time, death. This is a very deep and profound Nakshatra. And this particular Nakshatra, the stars that are relevant in this Nakshatra are Menkar, which is in the jaw of the whale.
And this indicates.
Disgrace, and it can deal with dishonor. So. So this is a very difficult Nakshatra many, many times, because it can deal with disgrace, dishonor, and it deals with legacies. Because another interesting fact about this Nakshatra is that it is called the Star of Restraint because it can deal with struggles and obstacles. But I believe this relates to when you have these struggles and obstacles in life dealing with this Nakshatra. It deals with breakthroughs because once you're up against the wall and you're pushed and shoved, just like when you're being born. Being born is a very painful experience.
But it comes from the fact that. That the child which outgrows its environment.
It feels the limitations of its surroundings. Therefore, it has to go through the birth process to be born, which is how I determine. It's like a breakthrough, but it comes to a point where the individual feels so limited by its surroundings or environment that it has to go through this period pain to get to the other side. Similar, ironically, as the process of being born. So that's what this Nakshatra can deal with. Birth, but death at the same time. And it's very interesting because the other fixed star that I think that is very important deals with Amok and Almok. It's a binary star. That's where two are revolving around each other. But it is in the left foot of Andromeda and Andromeda is sort of opposite. So there's this quality of good with the problems that there could be disgrace and dishonor. But Almak deals with honors and it deals with artistic ability. So it's interesting too that this Nakshatra is ruled by Ven.
There is this quality of artistic ability relative to this Nakshatra that is in Aries.
But going back to the whole myth of Yama, Yama as the God of death, was one that would direct those from this world to the next. So it deals with the waters transition from this world to another. Transformation is what I'll say is a key word that is really relative. And breakthroughs with this Nakshatra.
So people with this Nakshatra, of course, it can have relevance to dishonor, disgrace, problems. But when people are pushed to shove, they have this enormous transformation. Revelations. And people with this Nakshatra can go through major changes within life.
And you know what? Literally, because this rules the yoni, I found that many, many people, when they're in ob gyn, doctors that deliver babies can have this Nakshatra, right? Really, really strong in their chart. Now, this Nakshatra can also depict those that are philosophical philosophers, those that have personal breakthroughs in thought and mind, in consciousness. So this is an incredible Nakshatra. I find that many times it can deal with things that are discarded, such as junk. And people can take these things that others feel like are no longer needed. They can make them into things that look new. So they have this quality to regenerate and transform things, not just only their life. So this is a very symbolic Nakshatra when it comes to transformation of things. But, you know, because sometimes they can feel so oppressed at times because of this symbology. Sometimes they have the qualities of trying to oppress others. In other words, projecting their stuff onto others. So they can be sometimes difficult people. I'm gonna just say that, you know, when they're hurting and they're not feeling good about something, they're gonna make other people feel the same way. So.
So there. There are some extreme pieces of this Nakshatra that can deal with jealousy or being plagued with jealousy from others. So you can see that it's all about this sort of, like, restrictions. But remember, because of this, these people with this Nakshatra can be revolutionaries. They can be the bringers of the new. And they can be extremely fanatic, fanatical. And, you know, if laws seem to restrict and impose them, they're going to fight back. They're going to feel like, you know they're going to change the world. So a lot of times they can have positions in government, in leadership, politics. But remember that this Nakshatra, profound and difficult as it can be, can definitely deal with the mystery of life and death. And this is deep, deep stuff. So when you get to this, you're going to find that people with this Nakshatra can have deep struggles. Deep, deep struggles. But what I think comes out of this, after they go through the transformational change in their life, they come out on the other side transformed and revolutionary people that create the radical shifts and changes that most of us don't have the courage to go through. This is what the Nakshatra Bharani, Bharani is all about. And remember that this Nakshatra is called the Bearer, the bearer of life, but it is also called the Star of Restraint because of the limitations that they endure. And they transform and have breakthroughs with. So with that, I'd like to close.
