Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today I'd like to talk about the sign Libra. And for those of you that have Libra as your ascendant, you it is a cardinal air sign, which means it's very expressive. Cardinal signs are action. They're always moving forward. And because Libra is air, they're constantly wanting to share information with people. Libra's all about finding balance and peace amongst people. They want to bring people together in a sense of peace and harmony. Remember, its symbol is the scales that brings balance and peace to the world. If I ever had to have a judge, if I could pick and choose what sign I would like for a judge, I would choose Libra. Because Libra always sees both sides of the situation. They love to be fair, be very fair. So with Libra, Venus rules the chart. So Venus is so important, but Venus also rules the eighth house. So at the same time, Venus is so strong, but it does take a quality on from the 8th which can make them very deep, probing thinkers. They take things to the depth and there is a deep sensuality and sexuality about the sign of library. But it is definitely a feminine and masculine sign all at the same time. Being ruled by Venus, but being a masculine sign, it's very interesting and it's very diverse.
So Mars is the planet that rules the second and the seventh house. So because Mars rules the house of money and the house of marriage, put it together and there may be fights or difficulties concerning money in the marriage, or that there's just something that's imbalanced concerning the financial situation in relationship to the marriage partner. Maybe you and your marriage partner don't agree on how to spend your money, or you're looking for security through a marriage partner, or maybe they are looking security through finding you, but money matters and marriage are tied together.
Now looking at Jupiter, Jupiter rules difficult houses. So Jupiter is probably one of the worst planets for Virgo, Ascendant by the fact that it rules the third and the sixth. Therefore, they are going to have issues and problems around their brothers and sisters. Their brothers and sisters may fight, there's competition, there's. There's something about.
Butting heads. And there can be problems with aunts and uncles. Remember, the sixth house is aunts and uncles, and the third house is a bit contentious. So they can have problems around brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles and the neighbors. What you're going to start understanding with all of this is the opposite sign has many similarities because they have the same planet Ruling these patterns, these houses, but it is a different planet. For example, when we're looking at Libra and Jupiter rules the third and the sixth, if you go to Aries, you're going to find that with Aries it's Mercury that rules the third and the sixth. Saturn will rule the fourth and the fifth. So one is an angle and the other is a triconal. And what does this do yoga karaka planets mean? That they have become Raja yoga all by themselves. So this is a powerful, powerful planet. And actually I might add that Libra ascendants are one of the most powerful ascendants to have based on when you get to the sun and the moon, because the moon rules the 10th house and the sun rules the 11th house. So this combination can bring great gains. So pay attention because these planets, if the sun and the moon come together, can bring gains in life in their chart. But going back to Saturn, Saturn by the fact that it rules the fifth and the fourth, this can bring together home, family, good children, powerful children, and that they will have good connections with the family throughout life. The mother is connected to their children. So notice also that Mars by the fact that it rules the second and it rules the seventh is what we call the Marika planet. Marikas represent the killer. So consequently, when somebody with Libra as arsenic goes into.
A dasha of Mars, this could be one of the dashes that takes them out or that if they can have great difficulty physically. So that's what to look for. Mars as the marika, but it also represents relationships. So because the planet that rules relationships rules the second, they're gonna have to struggle a little bit harder to find peace and happiness in marriage and relationships. Also, don't forget, Mars as being a first rate malefic rules the house of marriage. So it's difficult.
So looking at this, as I said, the sun as ruler of the 11th can represent a very powerful father. The father can be very successful, make a lot of money and be strong and definitely a force to be reckoned with in their life. But the moon, by the fact that it does rule the 10th House, can indicate fame for people with Libra as their ascendants. So Cancer ascendants as well as Libra Ascendants are most likely or people that have fame more often than other ascendants. Not that everyone doesn't have. There's people of all ascendants that are famous. But you will find a lot of people based on the fact that for Cancer Ascendant, the moon rules the Ascendant, but for Libra Ascendant, the moon rules the 10th House of Fame and recognition and being out there in the world. So what are the best planets for Libra? As Ascendant Saturn is the most powerful. It is the Yoga Karaka by rulership of the angle, the fourth, good family relations with the kids and the fifth. So Saturn in my opinion would be number one Venus because it rules the Ascendant. But it has a little back back end trouble because it does rule the eighth. But Venus and the other one would be the ninth house ruler, which in this case is Mercury. Mercury rules the ninth, Gemini. So that was one thing I didn't discuss in great detail though is Mercury's rulership. In Virgo Ascendant Mercury rules. I'm sorry, in Libra Ascendant Mercury rules the 9th and it also rules the 12th. So this is another indication of an intellectual and powerful father. But because Mercury rules the same planet, rules the 9th as the 12th, the Father may travel a lot, maybe.
To foreign lands and countries. But because Mercury also rules the ninth house, this is the house that deals with spirituality and the twelfth house deals with spirituality. And the fact that Mercury is the thinking mind, this is where their thoughts are very much involved in spiritual practices and they will travel to foreign places to find their truth, to find where their thoughts and thinking processes are all about, which is to find their truth and their spiritual purpose in life. So Mercury. So I'd say Saturn, Venus and Mercury are their best planets by and large the the worst planets for this Ascendant is going to be Mars. But not only that, Jupiter is probably the most difficult planet for Libra as the Ascendant.
