A short astrological prediction by Joni Patry focused on January 9–10 events: Mars and Venus are described as combust (close to the Sun), with Mars ruled Chitra Nakshatra and the Moon in Virgo on January 10. She interprets close Sun–Mars/Venus configurations and oppositions with Jupiter as heightening tensions and potential push-pull issues related to war and peace.

January 10, the moon is still in Virgo and it sits in the Nakshatra called Chitra. Now Chitra is ruled by Mars. So things are getting a little, getting very heated up and Mars is now still within a degree of the Sun. But I'm looking at Mars and Venus as their effects of being combust the Sun. This combustion means those planets are wiped out. They're a problem. Things aren't going well. It's too radical and there's so many things that are happening all at once. So I'm looking at the 10th where the sun and Jupiter are exactly opposed as well as Mars opposes Jupiter and really that's the 9th as well. Oppositions can mean push and pull and problems and issues, I gotta say around war and peace. Why Mars is war and Venus is peace. Everything in the world is on edge because of some shocking events.
