Mars' Cycle and World Events

Astrologer Joni Patry forecasts Mars entering Scorpio around February 20 and its retrograde cycle through the year. She warns of heightened violence and terrorism, particularly when Mars conjuncts Saturn near the fixed star Antares in mid-Scorpio on August 24, with additional turbulence from a solar eclipse on September 1 and Mars conjunct Pluto on October 19.

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Today I want to talk about something very important and that's a cycle of Mars. Mars is about to go into Scorpio. And remember, I am talking about the Vedic sidereal system, not the system used in Western astrology, which is tropical. So as Mars transits into the sign of Scorpio, this is going to have major effects globally on the world. Because remember, Mars only goes retrograde once every two years. Whenever it goes retrograde, it stays in a sign for a very long duration. And during that duration, whatever implications that sign has towards Mars will have a huge and lasting effect on the world. So Mars being in Scorpio, let's talk about that for a minute. Scorpio is intense. It is feeling, it is power, and it has the ability to change things. And as Mars transits through the sign, it is going to be coming together with the sign with the planet Saturn. So Mars, as it Transits into Scorpio February 20, it will remain in the sign pretty much on and off through next September. So as it comes together with Saturn, the closer it becomes, the more intense world events are going to get. And this is going to be extraordinary because the degree markings where Mars will come together with Saturn is conjunct the most violent fixed star in the heavens. And that is Antares. Antares is the star of war. And I think this depicts what this year is going to be about because it, the star of war in Taurus is in the claw of the scorpion. It deals with retaliation, war, striking out, anger, but most of all it can deal with revenge. So we're going to see probably all sorts of terrorism take place throughout the world and terrorist attacks. But here is where things are going to get intense. As it first enters into the sign, it's going to slow down to station and go retrograde. And whenever planets go retrograde, they are at their closest to the Earth, first of all. So you will see Mars in the heavens.
Brighter because it's closer to Earth. So it's more intense. On April 17, Mars will station and go retrograde at 14 degrees of Scorpio. Now the fixed star in Taurus is around 15, 16 degrees of Scorpio. So you're going to see all kinds of events start to hit the world. And I believe, and I don't say this lightly, I believe that this year is going to have the biggest change in events than we've had in our lifetime. So if you think that last year was years before were intense, just wait and See what this will bring. Because Mars, when it goes retrograde, first of all, it just brings out the qualities of Mars, which is war and violence and anger. But the sign Scorpio intensifies it. And the fact that it's coming together with Saturn will really have an effect on the world. Mars, Saturn, configurations, conjunctions, oppositions, but it's going to be tightly conjunct, will produce major setbacks, delays and explosions. So here is Mars will go retrograde once again on April 17. This will have a huge effect. But June, around June 29, Mars will station and turn direct. So it will start to go in forward movement. And during this time, Mars will not be in Scorpio, it will be in Libra by the time.
That it stations to go direct. So here is a window. Between June 8 and June 29, Mars will be in library, okay? But it will station to go direct at 28 degrees of Libra June 29. So it stations to go retrograde on April 17, and then it stations to go direct on June 29. But the time that it's in Libra, I think there will be a little bit of a break, which will be between June.
June 8 and June, let's see, July 12. So between June 8 and July 12, Mars will give a little bit of a break in Libra. But then after the 12th, it will be full fledged, moving forward with.
Ferocious fire in Scorpio. And I predict in August there will be major, major events with Mars. Because on August 24, Mars will exactly conjunct Saturn at 15 degrees of Scorpio. Now this is conjunct. Both planets are conjunct, the fixed star Antares. This has to be explosive. And not only that, on that day, Saturn stations to turn retrograde. So anytime a planet stations, it means it's standing still right before it changes its direction, it has an effect on the world. So this is a very intense time globally. And it's very, very close to the solar eclipse, which will happen September 1st. And this solar eclipse will occur at 15 degrees LEO. So we have the solar eclipse degree exactly in square two, where the Mars and Saturn conjunct and Saturn stations at 15 degrees of Scorpio. Now at the same time, Neptune is opposed the solar eclipse degree at 15 degrees of Aquarius. So we have got a very violent T square with Mars and Saturn and at the midpoint. And what that means is Neptune will bring out things that have been secret and uncover things that have been kept from the world.
Because eclipses, remember, bring things out from the dark. But this Mars Saturn can have quite the violent effect and something big is going to happen. I have an idea, but I'm going to keep that point myself for a while.
So let's talk about October, because around September 18, Mars will finally leave Scorpio. So I think there's going to be very intense events, to say the least, in September. And then by October.
We'Re going to have the repercussions of what occurred with the T square in August. So August is very, very intense. September is where there starts to be some relief because Mars on September 18 leaves Scorpio, enters Sagittarius. But in October, Mars is going to be activating the long standing square between Pluto and Uranus. And this will activate even more, a different kind of violence, retaliation to what's going on In August and September 1st of all, October 19th, 19th October, Mars will conjunct Pluto, which is extraordinarily violent. And then October 29th, Mars will square Uranus. And this can have some repercussions to a breakthrough and of course retaliation for all the events that are occurring during this period. So this is a time where things are going to surface, things have to happen, things are going to change. And in the United States of America we have our presidential elections. So something in alignment with this will explode. And the elections, I don't think are going to go as usual, to say the least. So with that I'd like to close.
