Mars in Scorpio

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about the transit of Mars in the sign of Scorpio. Remember, I am talking about the sidereal Vedic astrology, not tropical western. Mars will transit into the sign of Scorpio December 25 through February 7. So it will be there for the entire month of January 2020. This is powerful. Mars rules Scorpio. Remember, we're talking about the old rulerships. Pluto does not rule Scorpio in Vedic astrology because we do not use the outer planets for rulership. But Mars being in Scorpio because it rules Scorpio gives it power, intensity of emotion. Why? Well, consider this. Scorpio is a water sign which deals with the flow of emotions, which deals with power, intensity. And anyone that understands the sign of Scorpio knows that sign is extraordinarily intense and emotional. But it is fixed. It is a fixed sign. So what does that mean in terms of a fixed sign? A fixed water sign.

When I think of fixed water, I think of ice so many times. This energy, it's so intense, it's so feeling, but it can't express itself. That's the most difficult thing for the sign to truly express. But it feels so deeply the core essence of the soul. And so this dealing with emotion and feeling at the highest degree of intensity sometimes brings things up. And in this world, it is going to bring up some massive emotion in this time period that it is in Scorpio. And I'll tell you something else that's very interesting and that is when Mars is in Scorpio, it will conjunct the fixed star Antares. Now, Antares is the star of war. So this is intense. Mars crossing over Antares, something will heat up. Something will happen globally in the world when Mars crosses over this star. When will that be? January 17th through 19th. Watch how emotions fly and anger, hostility surfaces. Now, Mars being in Scorpio, I've often seen, also deals with many Earth changes in the world. It can deal with earthquakes because the emotions in the world are at a peak when Mars transits through the sign.

Another thing is with Scorpio being a water sign, remember when it goes into the last degrees of water and early degrees of fire.

It'S going to be Gandanta. Now, Gundanta is this time when things are out of control, when planets are Gandanta, which means it's in the last degrees of water, which can be Cancer, Pisces or Scorpio.

Big things happen on an emotional level. It feels like you're out of control. My teacher always said it relates to drowning. And I know it doesn't equate to the translation Gundanta to drowning, but you will see that this is the essence of what it brings out. People feel like they're losing control. When you feel like you're drowning, you feel like you're losing control, you're going down. You can't grasp onto anything while you're going down. So it feels like you're out of control. And that's important because.

You just have to realize that this is a time that things will be out of control, but you can focus within to feel a sense of peace and control during the time that the world is out of control. It's a time that we must. We must balance and find our sense of peace during this time in order to not add to the chaos that is going on during this period. So another thing is that I want you to know about this time, which is. Well, when Mars is in the Nakshatra Jesta, in the early part of Scorpio, it's in Anuradha. But in the latter part of Scorpio, it is in the Nakshatra Jesta that Nakshatra Jesta actually extends from 16 degrees, 40 minutes of Scorpio to 30 degrees of Scorpio to the end of the sign Scorpio. So each Nakshatra covers a space of 13 degrees and 20 minutes. These are called the lunar mansions. Why? Because the moon transits in a day through a Nakshatra. Each day, the moon's movement is 13 degrees, 20 minutes. That's why these are called the lunar mansions. So the lunar houses, so when Mars is in Jaista, and this is once again, this, this time period is going to be from January 19th.

Through February 8th. This is the most intense time while Mars is in the sign of Scorpio because it's in Jasta. And Jasta's Nakshatra is sometimes equated to black magic, darkness. It actually means the eldest one. And it has a lot of deep sense symbology. So the eldest in the mythology of Jesta, it was that Nakshatra in the lunar mansions with the. With the. The sisters of the zodiac that Jaista told on Soma, who in the cycle of the moon was spending more time, the most sensuous Nakshatra, Rohini. But Jesta became enraged and jealous and told the gods about this problem.

So many times just to make it simple, not going into all the mythology, but to make it simple. Because of this, Jaistah is associated with jealousy. And so you're going to find that deep rooted jealousy surfaces during this time. Anything that you've been dealing with in your life, dealing with jealousy is going to surface. And I find that when Jasta is strong in an individual's chart, you may think that that means that they are jealous.

But nine times out of 10 I've seen where that individual has people jealous of them. But overall, this Nakshatra has intense emotional power.

And because it's associated with black magic, I believe it's a power to create.

Not cast spells, but to create things, to manifest things. That's exactly what's going to be happening. There's going to be great powers that surface in the world that can bring manifestation. And you have that power to manifest your goals, your wishes, your dreams during this time that this energy is so intense while it's in Scorpio, the Nakshatra, Jaista, which it will be there once again. Remember, it's going to be January 19th through February 8th. And this is the time that you can harness this powerful energy for manifestation. Remember, to manifest things, you have to align your sense of feeling with your thoughts. You have to feel and know that something is happening and that it's happening. Now that is the power of creation. That is how you're going to manifest during this time of power using this Nakshatra. So during this time, remember when it gets really, really intense. I've been talking about the Gandanta period when Mars will go Gandanta, it's going to be between February 4th and 10th. Because February 4th is going to be around the time that Mars is around 28 degrees of Scorpio, the last degrees of water. And let me explain something about that. It's in the tail of the scorpion. When planets transit through the tail of the scorpion, this is one of the most destructive and difficult portions of the zodiac. So Mars being here can cause great destruction. As it is Gandanta in the tail of the scorpion towards February 4, by the time.

It is in the early degrees of Sagittarius, which is still considered Gandanta, the first few degrees of fire, 0 to 1 degrees. So that will be in about.

February 6th to the 10th, that it's in the early sag, last degrees of Scorpio, though in the tail of the scorpion, it has a sting.

It can deal with poisons, it can deal with destruction, very, very powerful destruction using poisons. So be aware that this month of January, February is building up to some major destructive period on planet Earth. Because not only are we looking at the Jupiter Ketu but the fact that Mars is coming in together with Ketu and Jupiter.

And right before they come together in Sagittarius the buildup period of the toxic poisonous areas of the zodiac are being activated by Mars so tread this time carefully use this time to your best advantage and always remember that Scorpio has the power to create to manifest its deep feeling and emotion and that's how we create and this is your time of power.
