May 1–7 ASTROLOGY FORECAST: A Calm After the Storm?

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about the month of May. And I'm going to be starting here with, with the first week of May. And I'm going to be talking about May 1st through the 7th. And looking at May, I think we're in much calmer waters after being in the month of April. So what I'm doing here is I'm going through each day individually as to what is going on in the sky. And most importantly, what I do is, is I look at where the moon is because the moon represents how we're feeling and what is actually going on collectively in the world. So this is where you can be able to plan your day in accordance to where the planets are as to what day is better for certain activities. That's what I do in these weekly predictions. So we're looking at.

May 1st. But before I continue on, remember that this is where the planets are relative to Central Standard Time or Daylight Time. I take that back. Right now we're in Daylight time. So what I'm talking about, we have Daylight Savings Time going on here in Central Time zone, where I'm located in Dallas, Texas. So make the adjustments in accordance to your time zone. As I'm talking about this and I know there are so many of you all around the world watching and I just love when you put down in the comments where you're watching from. So I get a better idea where everyone is in terms of these transiting planets. So let me know where you are. It's so fun and interesting to all of us to be connected in this most powerful way. And as I said, this is Central Daylight Time and it's a Thursday here. So on Thursday we have the Moon in Gemini. And remember, once again, I'm doing sidereal Vedic astrology. Why do I do this? It's the true placements of where the planets are in the sky. So the Moon being in Gemini, it's actually in the Nakshatra called Ardra. And Ardra is a Nakshatra that's sharp, it's intense. It does have a lot to do with severe weather. So you'll be seeing a lot of severe weather this day. Things are very spicy and dicey, I want to say, with the Moon in Ardra. But Gemini is the sign of communications and you're going to feel more like communicating, connecting to people. And another thing that's going on, I've noticed that Uranus at 2 degrees of Taurus, while Ketu, the south node of the moon, is at 2 degrees of Virgo. They're in a trinal aspect. This connects these two planets. This is a day of great awakenings. This is a day that you should be open to receive new information. Uranus deals with information that's on the cutting edge, that's new, that's powerful, that's inventive. So creative ideas and very spiritual awakenings. You will feel a sense of this going on on this day. Now, looking at where Mars is, Mars goes to the second house from the Moon. Remember, the Moon is in Gemini. So be careful what you say say today. Don't just say whatever comes to mind. Think before you talk because this way you will not hurt anyone's feelings. And I know it might be unintentionally so. Think before you speak. And another thing is the Saturn. Rahu sits in the 10th house with Venus, Neptune, Mercury, all in the 10th house, counting from the Moon. Or remember, because I don't have an Ascendant or we don't have a time, I'm basing everything on the Moon as the Ascendant. So these planets in the 10th. Be careful what you say around the workplace. You could be very easily misunderstood with the Moon being in Gemini. Gemini is about communications. You must be cautious not to blurt out the wrong thing at the wrong time. Use this day as more a spiritual day to look within and be more cognizant of how you're feeling because you will get spiritual information. Today. Jupiter's actually in the 12th house from the Moon. And this means pay attention to your dreams. Your dreams are very revealing on this day and your intuition far greater. This is a day of new awakenings spiritually and information that could come in if you allow it.

So now I am going to look at May 2 and May 2. The moon is still in Gemini, but now it's in a much softer Nakshatra called Poornavasu. Poornavasu means return of the light. And that's exactly what it feels like after the the storms. We have a calmness, a return of the light, a sunny day. So things feel better today. Even though you must still be careful about what you say. Because all these planets are still in these same aspects as May 1. So today, even though the moon is in a much better Nakshatra, you still must be cautious about your speech. Pay attention to your dreams. Your dreams are prophetic. They have meaning. They're trying to talk to you. So listen within and listen when you dream. And of course still today is a day of being careful around the workplace with all these planets tenth from the moon. But let me tell you something. Today, and really all around this time, May 1st, 2nd, 3rd. But today, Venus is exactly conjunct Neptune. Now Neptune and Venus together, please try to be more realistic when it comes to your love affairs or how you feel about love and romance. Yes, you might be strongly attracted to someone, but let's be real, this person really right for you. Don't be in. You know, it's kind of like Neptune's like a spell. So you feel like there's a spell that's been cast over you in the area of your perception. With love and romance, yes, it can be a very romantic day. But with Neptune it may not last. So let's try to be a little bit realistic to avoid any pitfalls when it comes to love and romance. But Venus and Neptune. Neptune deals with illusions, things that aren't real. And therefore it actually rules the movie business. And this is a great day to just.

Escape. Escape through your mind, through your feelings and your creative artistic abilities. But it is a fantastic day. And it is Friday to go to the movies. Let's just escape this world, go to the movies. This is what this day is spectacular and good for. Just a day of creativity. Escape and just have fun with Neptune. Conjunct Venus. Now let's go to.

May 3rd. It's a Saturday and I noticed that the moon has just moved this day into cancer. Now cancer is the sign that rules the moon. So the moon is comfortable, but it is aligning with Mars and moon. Mars is a little bit contentious. So I want you to be careful of not being overly contentious or that you feel like. And this is possible, you may feel attacked by people verbally of course, is what I'm referring to. So this will make you feel somewhat insecure because that's what Cancer is all about. The moon, Mars in Cancer, a sense of insecurity. Just remember it's a good day for you to.

Work hard because Mars gives you a little spike of energy. And when I look to where all those planets in Pisces are, Rahu, Saturn, Neptune, Venus, Mercury, they're in the ninth house. Ninth house is the house of spirituality and truth. So this is a good day for you to search and read and find answers that have been missing for a long time. And the sun does go to the 10th house. And the sun right now being in Aries, yes, this is sidereal zodiac, not tropical western. It's in Aries and this makes it the most exalted sign it can be in. And this means work around the places of work you could have power. So if you're looking to advance in your work, use this day. It's a fantastic day for your work ethic and coming around your boss, getting recognition.

Jupiter is in the 11th house from where the moon is. And, and this can deal with groups and friends. So it's a good day to go out, be social, be with others. Just remember, people can be a little bit more contentious today and on edge with Mars being conjunct the moon. Now the moon is in the Nakshatra called Pusha. And Pusha is a very positive Nakshatra, especially in the area of nurturing, caring for others and, and most of all, spirituality. So this is a good day for spirituality and connection to others. And really with Mercury being in Pisces, I know it's debilitated, but it is in the Nakshatra called Revati and that gives protection when you travel. So this can be, even though moon is with Mars, can be a day of traveling.

Now I'm looking at May 4, and with May 4 we still have the moon in Cancer, but now it is shifted into the Nakshatra called Aslatia. A slat is probably one of the most convincing Nakshatras. People with this Nakshatra can convince you of anything. They're very, very persuasive. So be aware that people may try to persuade you into something that you don't feel right about. Don't go for it. Think twice. And still we do have Jupiter in the 11th from the moon. It's a good day for social events, meeting friends and feeling connected again. Good day for business, work, approaching your boss for anything or thinking about you becoming the boss. This is A day of power in the career and purpose of your life. And still it is a good day for coming together in terms of learning, higher education because all these planets are in the ninth house in Pisces. And it's still a pretty good day for travels if you need be taking a trip.

Now I am looking at May 5. In May 5, I am looking at some really intense things beginning now because around May 4th and 5th we have Pluto stationing. So things are getting a little heavier, Things are getting a little intense, especially what's going on around the world in terms of politics. Why? Because Pluto's intensity of stationing and it's in the sign of Capricorn. So this can bring some problems and blow ups. But mainly this is probably reflecting world leaders. And this is in effect for some time now. The Moon on this day, and it's a Monday, is in Leo and it's in the Nakshatra called Maga. Maga is the Nakshatra of kings and leaders. Its symbol is a throne. So this is important for world leadership. And things may start to go haywire because all those Pisces planets, Rahu, Saturn, Neptune, Venus, Mercury, are all in the eighth house from the Moon. And this is intense. This is a day for deep introspection, psychological research, looking into things that maybe have been holding you back, things that you feel blocked about. You can use this day to really go within and think about what's causing these blockages. You will come up with answers because this is a day of deep reflection. But it is not a good day for world events. You'll see a lot of havoc and problems going on in the news around the world.

So then I want to look at the Sun. The sun goes to the ninth house, so it is a good day for travels. Exalted sun in the 9th, but still with all those planets in the 8th, I want you to lay low. Jupiter is in the 10th. Good day for things around the office and work. Feeling purposeful about your job, your work, your career. But lay low when it comes to investing or money because Ketu is now in the second house from the Moon. So things are starting to.

Not go so well, probably in the financial markets and in the world. So be aware of that. Mars is actually in the 12th house from the Moon. So be aware of what we call secret enemies. What is a secret enemy? Just people that talk behind your back, particularly and especially in your workplace. Be aware that this can be. And one more thing, the Moon being in Maga. Maga deals with our heritage, our family, that's been before us. You'll find that you're feeling much more connected with your heritage and your family during this day. Now let's move to May 6. In May 6, the moon is still in Leo, but it's moved now into the Nakshatra, Purva Falguni. Purva Falguni is a marriage Nakshatra and is a very important Nakshatra when it comes to relationships. But, but still, all those planets in Pisces are in the eighth house from the Moon. So this would be a good day to introspect, to look deep into how your relationships are going in your life. Because relationships are so important for all of us. And I want you to know that with this going on, there is so much that you can change within your relationship in terms of better understanding what's going on for you and digging deep in how you relate and what the results are. Because remember, all relationships have to do with you. It's not the other person, it's what you put out there. That's what you get mirrored back to you. So once again, Jupiter's still in the 10th house. Love that this is a good day for progress along the lines of your work. But still be careful with spending and investing. With Ketu being in the second house from the moon and Mars being 12th, realized people will talk behind your back. Don't trust them. But this is usually concerning the workplace. Since work is going well, it's probably some jealousy that is being reflected behind the scenes in your work. Now let's go to.

May 7, the last day of the week that I'm covering today. So May 7th is a Wednesday. The Moon is still in Leo half of the day, but it will be in Virgo the second half of the day here, Central Daylight time. So it will change probably around.

Yes, around 2:30 in the afternoon. So.

Central Daylight Time. And the Moon will align with Ketu in Virgo. So the Moon is opposed to all of these planets in Pisces. And this represents probably a struggle in relationships because they're in the seventh house. This means relationships. And don't forget, this can also align you with business partnerships. So business partnerships are what you need to be working on and working out. Venus is still in Pisces, so that's a good thing. But today actually.

Mercury has shifted signs. So Mercury has shifted out of Pisces and that's its debilitation sign. So it's gaining in strength somewhat by being in Aries, ruled by Mars. So the thinking process is speeding up. People are starting to come together with thinking. And don't forget Mercury deals with commerce, trade and sails. And the fact that it's with the sun is much better. Even though a lot of people would say oh but it's going to be combust. Mercury's never combust the sun because it's usually with the sun. It actually is a yoga in Vedic astrology, so it's actually good. But the sun and Mercury are in the eighth house from the moon. So this is a time of deep introspection again and especially when it comes to leadership and around the world. Now Jupiter is in the ninth house from the moon which is a time of truth and spirituality to come out. Maybe it's time for you to take that class to learn, do something different. Okay, so this is all well and good. Yes. And Mars being in the 11th house from the moon. Yeah. I got to say this. Maybe there's some issues or some problems concerning friends and groups. Be careful what you say about around groups of people. They may take it wrong.
