Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about the cycle of Mercury. Right now Mercury is going at tip top speed. And this is a key for us to take this time to move forward with many things. While Mercury is progressing this quickly, this is a great time for forward movement because remember, when a planet goes retrograde, it's a time to pull back, but now it's time to pull forward. You see, the cycle of Mercury is that when it aligns with the sun and forms a conjunction, but it's between the sun and Earth, it's starts to go retrograde. So it comes together, slows down, stops and goes retrograde. This is actually when Mercury is closest to the Earth, when it turns retrograde. But it's going very slow in that process. And that's not necessarily the time to start new things. When Mercury conjuncts the sun at that point before going retrograde around that time, it's called the inferior conjunction because it's between the Earth and the Sun. But when Mercury goes on the other side of the sun and aligns with it away from planet Earth, it's called the superior conjunction. And at that point in time, Mercury is going tip top, fastest speed that it can go. So this is part of that cycle to pay attention to because actually in the month of August, we're going to see where Mercury actually is in three different signs. So let me give you these dates. This is pretty incredible. So the very, very first of August, let's see, August 1st through the 8th, Mercury will be in the last degrees of cancer. And then by August 8th, Mercury will enter into Leo, where it will stay in Leo till August 25. And then August 25 onwards into September, Mercury will be in Virgo. So it actually touches three signs. This is remarkable. And what I want to say is everything that you've been holding off doing, get it done. Mercury will give you clarity of mind, persistence to really see things through and get things rolling and going. So. So I love the fact that Mercury is going fast now. Coming out of cancer, it's all about home security and that's the first eight days of the month. So those things are getting wrapped away where we're starting to feel a sense of focusing in on what we need to feel secure in this world and come together with family. But between August 8th through the 25th, while Mercury is in Leo, the this will bring out travel plans. Why? Because during this time, Jupiter in Aquarius is casting its aspect to Mercury. So things move forward. This is a time for travels, fast travels, going places, getting things done, even talking fast. I find myself talking fast when I'm talking about Mercury going through these signs. So Mercury is going to come together with the sun, oppose the moon during this month, while the Moon, the full Moon's going to be in Leo and that's going to be a very positive and uplifted time period for the world. Everything is getting, is coming together and you know, Mercury is how we communicate with people. So we are opening the doors to communication. And so many things about communication are being looked at and healed. You know, all this censorship, I think this Mercury moving fast and Jupiter's aspect to it is going to heal all of these issues of major corporations that have been controlling.
Our media. So this is all going to come up, this is all going to come to pass and there's going to be a great resurgence of things in healing about this. And for the last part of August the 25th onward.
Till September, we're going to have it in Virgo. Mercury is exalted in the sign of Virgo, loves to be in Virgo. That's going to be the time of great clarity of mind. But we know that eventually in September we're going to have Mars go into Virgo. There's going to be a lot of planets in Virgo. Virgo's all about health and healing and disease. Maybe with Mercury being here, there will be some cures, there'll be some ways of better seeing how to get healthy. Let's talk about how to get healthy, not how to do things that are destructive. Let's talk about what are the foods we eat, what are the practices we do, how can we make ourselves stronger and healthier. Mercury being in the sign of Virgo is going to bring that to our attention. And there's going to be a lot of thought process, a lot of talking, communication about health and healing. This is cool that we have Mercury on our side during this time. And I just want you to know another thing is once Mercury comes up and conjoins the sun this month and it's going to the degree is higher than the sun. In other words, what's happening is Mercury's passing in front of the sun and what do we have? This is actually when Mercury becomes an evening star. Now we don't necessarily see Mercury very often because it is so close to the sun, we can't see it. The sun obliterates our vision from seeing Mercury most of the time.
But when Mercury does become an evening star, this is a time when people become more gregarious, they get out more, they, they want to be seen in public. They're much more of an extrovert. And it's also a time of a lot of objective behaviors where you can be more objective, see things clearly, know things and learn things better is another thing. Mercury rules education and learning. So as it's going tip top speed, there'll be some new ways of learning education. This is going to progress. Maybe then schools they have now that we know how to study at home, conjunct together going in person, classes in person, studying at home, through all the media developments that have occurred during the virus. This is going to up education, make it better, make it stronger. And also while Mercury is an evening star, there'll be some progress in terms of conservative ways for the betterment of society in the world as a whole. And I actually love Mercury in Leo because Leo deals with the heart, energy and self expression. People are going to be a lot more expressive in so many ways. Writing and music and theater and dance. So many things are going to come out. More so when while Mercury makes its debut in Leo with Jupiter aspecting it, there's going to be progress, there's going to be direction. And if you have any contracts that you've been putting on hold, it's time to move forward. Sign those. If you've been holding off on writing, writing that book, writing that blog, now's the time to do it. It's time for communications, information, learning and travel. That's what this high speed Mercury will produce. Take full advantage of it. You'll be glad you did. So with that I'd like to close.
