Mercury Retrograde and How It Will Affect YOU! All 12 Signs

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, here we go again. Mercury is going retrograde. And I want to inform you what this retrograde cycle is going to mean for all of you. According to your Vedic astrology, moon or Ascendant. So you're going to want to find out what your moon ascendant are according to Vedic astrology in order to know what sign to listen to. So I'm going to give you an update of how this Mercury retrograde is going to affect you this year. So go to my website, I have a free chart calculator. The Ascendant is going to be giving you a feel of how things are going to be in your physical world. The moon will give you an idea about how you're going to be feeling during this Mercury retrograde. So there are two different things. What's happening to you and what you're feeling, what's happening to you as your Ascendant, what you're feeling is your moon sign. So check that out@ Galacticenter.org. now let me talk about what Mercury retrograde is. We know that Mercury really doesn't go backwards in the sky, but relatively from Earth. It looks like it does. Because what happens is when we're traveling around the sun, when the Earth passes Mercury, it appears to go backwards. So during this period of Mercury retrograde, you're going to feel like everything to do with what Mercury rules in our lives is going to go backwards. And it's time to reassess, review and reanalyze and reflect about all the energies that Mercury is about. Which is what? The way we communicate and connect to other people. This involves so many aspects of our life which are learning, education, communications, telephones, televisions, Internet, social media.

And how we travel. This connects us as well. So by car, by plane, everything to do with travel and communications, connecting and learning, how we think, it rules our mind and how we process information. How big is that? That rules just about everything that's important to us in our lives, our thinking, how we perceive the world. This is Mercury. Now, this Mercury retrograde, remember, as I said, it's time to reflect, review everything is to go back. It's not about a time really to push forward and start new things. Because when Mercury's going fast and forward, that's the time to go forward. But when it pulls back and goes retrograde, that's the time to reflect, pull back, review, reanalyze everything with Re, that's Mercury retrograde. So it's not a bad time. It's just a time that we do. We need to pull back and reassess, review. We're not good at doing that. We always want to push forward. That's why we've got problems during Mercury retrograde. So another thing is because it rules the mind and everything about the mind is kind of like going backwards. It makes us more forgetful. We're overloaded with information and we're not really focusing on the things that we need to focus in on. Because when we have this mental overload, we tend to be forgetful. So that's another example of what we experience when Mercury is retrograde. We leave our keys, we leave our phone, we lose our phone. Those kind of things that deal with communications, our computer goes down. This is all a Mercury retrograde experience. But this is what we can prevent through being totally aware. But do know, if you're traveling and Mercury retrograde affects you heavily, then you're going to find out that maybe your flights are delayed or canceled. Be aware of that as well. So when does Mercury go retrograde? Going to go retrograde. February 17th through March 10th. These are the retrograde periods. But be aware there is a period right before retrograde and right after that. Mercury is traveling in the shadow phase. That means the degrees that it covers when it's retrograde. So there's a time period before and a time period right after Mercury retrograde. So don't think that Mercury just begins on February 17th or March 10th. It's over because you've got that phase of easing in and out of it called the shadow phase. So when is the shadow phase in effect? February 2nd and March 30th, and that's before and right after the retrograde period. So basically, from February 2nd to March 30th, we feel the effects of Mercury retrograde. Realize Mercury goes retrograde three times a year. And within these three times a year, it's always going to be in the same element for that year, which now it's going to go retrograde on February 17th at 18 degrees of Aquarius, and it will go direct on March 10th at 4 degrees Aquarius. Remember, if you have any planets, those degrees, it's going to be a heavy hard hit. Mercury retrograde for you, it just is. It affects your chart differently. And that's why sometimes when Mercury goes retrograde, you hardly feel it, and other times you think, oh my God, it couldn't be worse. So be aware of the shadow phase and be aware of those degrees that Mercury goes retrograde, 18 degrees of Aquarius, as well as 4 degrees of Aquarius. So the signs that Mercury is going to be retrograde within this year will be in the air signs, which are Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius. And these are the air signs. They deal with communication skills. So be aware that this is the year that you're going to have to really look into how you relate to people, your communications, get better at it, because that's what Mercury is all about, how we relate. So now I want to go over all of the signs and tell you how Mercury retrograde is going to affect you personally during this phase. So if your ascendant sign is Aquarius, of course Mercury is going retrograde right in your first house. It's affecting you personally. So you're changing about how you feel about yourself, how you feel about the world, your conditions, everything to do with this personally and your environment. You're not clear about where you want to stay, where you want to move, what your life is all about. So your perception and your confidence about yourself are constantly changing, even the way you dress. But I wouldn't suggest that this be a time that you go buy a new wardrobe, because when Mercury goes retrograde and direct, you change your mind and you think differently. So realize you're going to have a little time period where you're not sure about where you're going, who you are, and what you're doing. It's just a time to reassess these things, look deeper into what you want to do with your life and where you want to be and where you want to live.

If your ascendant sign or your moon sign is Pisces, then this means that the Mercury retrograde's in your 12th house. This is a time of dealing with the past. So many things are coming up from the past and dreams of old relationships, people that have passed on something to do with your feelings and emotions and how you have experienced miscommunications with others in the past. It's time to let go of all that old past conditioning. Because as you do this, you heal your life. But realize that this is a time that you will be able to start thinking about how to have closure and, and endings with people from the past. Pay attention to your dreams and realize that things are going to come to you as you sleep, as to information, as to how you can let go, bring things to resolution, heal your life. So if your ascendant or your moon are in the sign of Aries. This is a time that you're going to find friends may disappoint you, or there may be miscommunications. Please make sure that you're clear when you're talking to your friends and people that you're close with, or even your oldest sibling. There may be some major miscommunications, or things may come out that you didn't know about them. And this may be a bit disappointing. But you've got to work it out. And guess what? Talk it out. Bring clarity.

Transparency to your friends and relationships. So if your Ascendant or your moon sign is Taurus, this means that this Mercury retrograde will be in your 10th house, which deals with what your boss, your career, your social standing, how you appear to the world. Are you telling the truth? Are you being, are you being clear in what you're telling people? This is your social image while Mercury, Neptune are together in your 10th house. And realize that you have some miscommunications about your workplace, the company you work for, or even your boss or your business. This is something you've got to clear up and get very focused on because a lot of problems can come out of big miscommunications that are occurring at your workplace.

If your Ascendant or your moon are in Gemini, then this means that the Mercury retrograde is in your ninth house, which means there's a change of heart in how you feel and what you believe. You're going to review and reassess things, and you may even be learning some things of the past, some old stuff. Studies, review and travels can go a little haywire during this time because the ninth house deals with travel. But dealing with issues like teachers, professors, if you're still in school, realize there can be some miscommunications and difficulties, possibly in the grading process. Make sure you are looking at this in a much better clear way. Another thing is if your father is still alive, there will be miscommunications in how you work or communicate with him. So make sure things are clear in the area of teachers, father, as well as when you're making plans to travel. Double check those dates and those times that you're to meet people. This is important and you will avert major problems. So if you have a cancer moon or cancer ascendant, then this means that Mercury goes retrograde in your eighth house. And this brings up all sorts of old stuff that you're here to look at, reassess and heal. Because these water houses, which are 4, 8, and 12, deal with the past. So you're dredging up all emotional stuff from the past. And guess what? This is very healing. Because the eighth house deals with psychology. Healing, psychological analysis. This is the time that you're going to see things that you never saw before about your world, your life. And it's time to get in touch with it and heal it. Another experience you're going to have is psychic ability. You're going to know things, you're going to feel things, sense things. You better believe it because it's right. You're right on with your gut feeling at this time. Now, if your Ascendant or your moon is in Leo, then this means that relationships, because the Mercury, Neptune are in your seventh house. People in relationships come back from the past. But please make sure you have a clear understanding of what they're trying to communicate to you. You don't misread it or think of something else. Because chances are you may feel like you know what they're talking about. And you may be totally wrong. Because I feel like Neptune, Mercury is like a spell's been cast on you. You can't see or hear what they're really trying to communicate to you. Or maybe they don't understand what they're trying to say, but their chances are things will change in this arena dealing with relationships. And of course, there can be a total healing with this. So get ready. This will be a very interesting and eventful life concerning relationships, especially from the past. So if your Ascendant or your moon sign are Virgo, this is a time that I feel like your health and well being needs to be checked out and looked at. Because Neptune can deal with things you can't see. And with Mercury, it could have something to do with your digestion or allergies. Pay attention. This could be the month you need to beef up and strengthen your immune system. And be aware that people in the workplace you're going to probably not hear, misread, misunderstand. Be clear, be concise. Tell them what you need and what you want. And employees may not understand what you're trying to say. Be clear. This is the time that you can really resolve some problems at work. So if your Ascendant or your Moon sign is in Libra, this means that the Mercury retrograde's in your fifth house. Which means what?

Children. It's things that we create, which children are one of those things that we create. So the fifth house deals with your children. If you have children, make sure you're being Clear, concise, and that they understand the message, the direction that you're trying to give them. Because chances are they will be misdirected and you may find out something you didn't know about them during this time. So make it your business to better understand and see what's going on with your kids. And if you don't have kids, this is a time of great inspiration, imagination, creativity. You're going to take your mind back to really discover some new things that you were working on before that will come back that are brilliant. But be careful of the advice that you give to other people because they may misunderstand you about how you're trying to direct and give them advice. So one more thing. In relationships, in dating, getting to know people. Make sure that you're clear. Because the fifth house deals with opening your heart and getting to know people. So if your Ascendant or your moon is in Scorpio, then this means that the Mercury retrograde is in your fourth house. This means your mother, your family. There could be misrepresentations, misunderstandings, dates, times that you're to get together. Make sure it's clear. But also understand that your mother or things from your past, your family, may not be understood and may not come together correctly. This is a time you've got to get it together with family members. And remember this, the fourth house deals with vehicles. If you are driving a car that you feel like has an issue or problem, look out, you can get stranded. So make sure you get a checkup with your car. And as well as for your property and home, make sure you have that insurance. Because this is the time that things can go wrong. Refrigerators die, air conditioners, heaters, all those kind of.

Utilities in your home, make sure they're checked out.

If your Ascendant or your moon is Sagittarius, then this is a time for you to be careful of your travels. Because why this is, you know, Sagittarius is being heavy hit again this year with Mercury retrograde. Because why?

Because this is the house of communications that it's in. Make sure you're clear. Make sure people understand where you're coming from, what you're trying to tell. Tell them. Chances are it's not going to. It's going to go right over their head. So you got to make a concerted effort to make sure people understand what you're telling them. Saying and traveling, make sure you have the right days for your travel plans and make sure that you bring things to work on in case there is a Delay, because chances are you'll have that time. It won't be so worrisome if you're prepared. So. And one more thing, brothers and sisters.

There can be some miscommunications with your siblings. Be clear, be concise, and make sure that everything they're saying you understand as well. So if your ascendant or your moon are in Capricorn, then this means that the Mercury retrograde is in your second house. What does that deal with? Your finances, your money. And make sure where you're spending, your money, where it goes. Because chances are with this Mercury retrograde, it can drain out. And those of you that aren't good with money, this is a time to really pay attention to your spending, reassess, reanalyze where your money is going, because that's what this is. This can concern misunderstandings about payments, finances, money, and some misunderstandings about family members. And make sure that what you say, your speech, comes out clearly, because this is your voice. And make sure that what you're saying represents you, that you're saying the truth. If you're not saying the truth, let me just say this. It will become uncovered and people will discover your dishonesty. So it's no time to be dishonest with Mercury and Neptune transiting in your second house. And hey, it may cost you.
