Mercury Retrograde How it will affect you!

Hi, I'm Joni Petrie and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about the Mercury retrograde that's occurring here in July. Mercury will turn retrograde July 7 and it will stay retrograde till July 31, when it will turn direct. Now this is an unusual position because Mercury is going to be traveling with Mars almost the entire time that it is retrograde. And with this, you're going to find that.

What is Mars all about? And it's in the sign of cancer. Cancer is the most sensitive and emotional sign of the zodiac. So everyone is kind of on edge. Everyone's kind of taking things way too personal. And there's a lot of anger and resentment that seems to be stirring and surfacing during this Mercury retrograde. Why? Because it's in the sensitive sign. Plus Mercury is with Mars. As a matter of fact, on the 8th of July, Mars and Mercury exactly conjunct at 10 degrees of cancer. And let me remind you that Mars is debilitated in the sign of cancer. So this might be the reason why your energy level, your willpower, your drive, your ambition are kind of at a low. Because that's what Mars is all about. And being in the sign of its debilitation weakens it considerably.

And with Mercury, Mercury is about our communications. So, so when you have Mars with Mercury, people are edgy, people are angry, and people are miscommunicating with Mercury being retrograde. So you have to be very, very careful about what you say because you may be taken wrongly and then you won't understand why, but this is why. So you've got to be extra, extra clear during this time as to what you're trying to say and how you say it will be. The intonation is how you're really being read. Because remember, everything is about emotions right now. And when Mercury goes backwards, it's always about that things. It's not a time to move forward with things, but it is a time to reassess things, review, reflect, reanalyze, re everything. Because this is a time that you pull back and you re evaluate everything that's going on. Now, depending on what house it falls in, your chart will really give clues as to what areas are being misread, misunderstood, where your communications will go haywire. So I want to fill you in a little bit on how this may be affecting you personally throughout the month of July. So let's talk about each ascendant sign. And please be aware that I'm using the sidereal Vedic system of astrology, not Western tropical So if you're trying to impose your Western sign on this, you will not be correct. So let's figure out what your rising sign and what your moon sign are in Vedic astrology. And with that, then you can listen to what sign I'm referring to in this video. Ascendant sign. So remember when you, when you're looking for the Ascendant sign, if you it will be ASC or as that's Ascendant, that's your rising sign. It's based on your time of birth. Now, if your Ascendant or your moon sign, let's say it's in Cancer, then this is where the Mars and Mercury are. So it's in your first house. So this will affect you the most personally. You're going to have issues where you have your feelings hurt, where you feel like people are kind of attacking you. But you always have to remember it's always about people projecting their stuff onto you. You cannot take it personally. It has nothing to do with you. People's anger that feels directed at really isn't about you. So just stand back and realize that's not really the intention and don't take it personally. So if your Ascendant sign or your moon sign is Leo, that means that this Mercury, Mars are going to be in your 12th house. And what does that indicate? People may be saying things that you're unclear about behind your back, because that's what the 12th house is. Secret enemies, things that are going on that you possibly don't know about, but you feel it and you sense it. And yes, you're right. Just get past this time period. This too will pass. And so be aware that you'll feel like people are talking behind your back. People aren't clear. People aren't being nice. And that's another thing about this conjunction. People aren't nice right now. Let's not take it personally.

So with that Mars moon in your 12th, it's time for you to get some rest. Even though I feel like you're not going to be able to rest so much because the 12th house deals with sleep. So you may have interrupted sleep and you've got to take care of yourself because without the proper rest, you have the tendency to break down your immune system. So if your ascendant sign or moon sign's in Virgo, then this means that this Mars, Mercury are in your 11th house. And this could mean that your friends are not being very nice, that you misread them. You misunderstand them, they misunderstand you. So step back, relax, and realize this is temporary, this will pass. And it's not really what they mean to say. You're misinterpreting it. So if your ascendant sign is Libra, then that means that this energy of Mars and Mercury, it's happening in your 10th house. This is not the time for you to ask for a raise at work. It's time for you to listen. You see, Mercury is all about listening. And when you're putting out, you're not learning, you're not receiving. You've got to listen during this time and lay low around the office or around your boss because things could get get upset around there if you push. So don't push, pull back. Relax. Let's get through this month. Okay, now, if your ascendant sign is Scorpio, then this means that this Mars, Mercury are in your ninth house. And your whole philosophies about life, they're changing. They're transforming. And yes, by the time this Mercury retrograde is over with you, you will think differently. Remember, when Mercury turns retrograde, we change the way we think. And when it turns direct, we change the way we think again. So it's a time of upheaval. And the way that you believe, the way that you think about the world, it's different. And another thing is because the ninth house can deal with your father if you're around your father. This is a time not to argue. Just listen. Because you may say things you didn't mean. And this time will pass. So if your ascendant sign is Sagittarius, you're going to have the most difficult time trying to understand things that are coming out of people's mouths. Because this goes to your eighth house. And the eighth house is the house that is most misunderstood. But it is the house of change. So it is a month that you are gung ho about changing things. Just make sure that your willpower stays on target. Because chances are, with Mercury and Mars interchanging here in this house, all the things that you set out to do, you may not keep true to, but with awareness, you can.

If your ascendant sign or your moon sign is Capricorn, guess what? Relationships. This is the most important thing because this Mars Mercury goes to your seventh house. And what does that mean? Means that you don't listen, you don't hear, and there can be some terrible arguments with your relationship. But remember this. This can be totally avoided by listening. Mercury deals with listening, hearing, learning. Do not start arguments, even though you'll want to. And if arguments are directed at you, be quiet, listen, and you may learn something about your partner. So if your ascendant sign is Aquarius, it is time that you've got to watch your health, because this conjunction goes your sixth house. And the sixth house deals with health and healing. So it is a time for you to get more on track with health and healing. And yes, change your diet, change your routine. This is important. But at the same time, with this conjunction going on in your sixth house, be aware that your co workers, the people you work with, won't be very agreeable. Listen, react. Okay, now if your ascendant sign is Pisces, then you have this conjunction going to your fifth house. And the fifth house is the house of creativity. It's the house that new ideas come into being. Cultivate that listen. These are great ideas. And if you have children, listen to them. They may be argumentative, they may project their story stuff out there at you. They may be wanting more and more attention. Listen, like I said, this is the time for listening.

And if your Ascendant or your moon sign is Aries, then this means that this conjunction goes to your fourth house. What is the fourth house? Your home, your family, your sense of security, which are under scrutiny during this time. And maybe there's things that are going to break down, go wrong in your house. Be aware that this could affect, like the washing machine, the dryer, things could Mars represents machinery. And things could break down during this time. Yes. So if your ascendant is Taurus, then you know that this Mars Mercury. Go to your third house, which is the house of travel, which is the house of learning and school. There may be a little setbacks, maybe a little bump in the road when you're dealing with taking tests or education. But most of all, realize that travel plans could go haywire during this time. Okay, so. And if your ascendant sign is Gemini, then this conjunction goes to your second house. Be aware of what you say. Your speech is vitally important during this time. Second house deals with speech, also deals with money and finances. Be aware there may be some cost that you didn't think of that can creep up on you, some unexpected expenses. And be careful about where you're putting your money because you may be overspending. So stand back a little bit, be careful about your spending, lay low, and it will be just fine. So with that, I've covered all the 12 signs how it will affect you just for this month of July. But realize when Mercury does turn direct, it's going to stand still at 29 degrees of Gemini. Therefore, we're going to really have some new awakenings when it comes to communications and travel. Something is going haywire. So I'm not saying that anything terrible is going to happen, but everything to do with communications, with computers, with travel will be crazy this month. So it's just things just don't go as planned and Mars makes it even more difficult. So watch what you say, be careful, and realize that after this retrograde period, things will get back to normal. But use this time to listen, because that's what I think is the missing piece that can give us what we're, what we have to learn during this time to listen. When you listen, you grow, you learn.
