In this segment of her August 7 astrology forecast, Joni Patry explains that the Moon will spend the entire day in Taurus, specifically in the Rohini nakshatra, which she describes as the Moon’s favorite. She advises that this placement makes the day ideal for shopping, pampering, and self‑care. However, she warns that the Moon will also cross Uranus, a configuration that can trigger sudden, unexpected emotional shifts and mood changes, urging viewers to stay cautious. Additionally, Patry notes that Jupiter is combust the Sun, meaning Jupiter’s protective influence is weakened, rendering the period somewhat treacherous despite the Moon’s comforting effect.

August 7th, the Moon, of course, is in Taurus the whole day, and it will be in the nakshatra called Rohini, which is the Moon's favorite nakshatra. It's a good day for buying things, for, uh, pampering yourself, because the Moon loves this sign. But it does cross over Uranus today, which can mean some unexpected events emotionally. People change their mind, they change their mood suddenly. Suddenly and unexpectedly. That's something to be aware and cautious of. So that's important. And let's see, I'm still going to say that Jupiter is combust the Sun. We need to get more of a wider orb between Jupiter and the Sun, so Jupiter's not able to protect us. So this is all a kind of a treacherous time. Be aware, but the Moon in Taurus will give you the ability to go out and shop and take care of yourself.
