Most People Have No Idea What August 2026 Is Actually Bringing | Vedic Astrology

Hi, I'm Joni Patry, and welcome to my YouTube channel. Well, today I want to talk about August. What's in store for us for the month of August? And I have to say, this is a time of transition and great change because this is the time of eclipses. And eclipses, as I say all the time, are one of the most powerful tools that astrologers have for prediction. We know things are meant to happen during the time of an eclipse. Because the eclipses are so powerful. They are when the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth all align. And this is powerful because this is the main crux of astrology, the Sun and the Moon, and based on how they affect Earth. So let's talk about what this solar eclipse is going to bring for us because this one is so interesting to me. It a total solar eclipse, and it will be at 25 degrees of Cancer. And yes, I am a sidereal Vedic astrologer, which uses the true astronomical placements of the planets relative to the stars. This is what's so important about astrology— the stars. And when I talk about Vedic astrology, it is true to the stars, as the stars stars move, they are relative to the constellations, and particular stars are what really give the constellations their meanings. So as a Vedic astrologer, we talk about the nakshatras. There's 27 of them, and this eclipse is falling in the nakshatra called Ashlesha, and Ashlesha's symbol is the snake. So there is so many things coming up, surfacing, and even things changing in terms of the transformational change a snake actually insinuates, such as the shedding of its skin, such as the old dying off for the new to be reborn. This is what this is all about. And at the time, we always talk about Rahu and Ketu, where they are at the time of the eclipse because they actually stand still for 3 months. It's almost like the nodes are stationing, and the degree mark is so significant. It is at 5 degrees of Leo, and the reason why this is significant is because this is conjunct the fixed star Regulus, and Regulus is star of leaders, kings, CEOs, those that take the lead. But Leo is also a time that represents leadership, kings, power. That is what this nakshatra that Regulus is in is all about, because this nakshatra is called Magha, and its symbol is a throne. So here we have the eclipse. The eclipse point is actually where the Sun and the Moon come exactly together. So that's when an eclipse is about, with Rahu and Ketu. So eclipses happen every 6 months, and the planets that surround it are what make these eclipses what they're all about. Jupiter is going to be in the sign of this eclipse, which means things will expand and grow. Things are big that are happening now. Jupiter is all about expansion. But going back to this eclipse per se, what we do when we follow eclipses is we look at their eclipse path. And what that means is where the eclipse is most visible on planet Earth. And it is most visible— it is going to be most visible in Greenland and Iceland and Spain. So this is where things will be really heated up and a focus will be. Now, another thing about eclipse periods which this eclipse time period is going to be around August 12th through the 28th. This is what I call the eclipse season because the solar eclipse is August 12th and the lunar eclipse is August 28th. So a solar eclipse is a new moon, sun and moon coming together. A lunar eclipse is a full moon where the sun and moon are opposed, but there's a 2-week period between the new moon and the full moon, and this is called the eclipse season. This is when things are most intense. And actually, I've noticed that 2 weeks before, particularly before an eclipse, which means 2 weeks before August 12th, as well as 2 weeks after the 28th of August, intense things begin to happen, particularly around Earth changes. And this marks a time of earthquakes. And you might be saying, well, we've been having earthquakes. Yes, we have. And earthquakes usually are predicted with Uranus, which represents unexpected events, sudden unexpected events, and Neptune, which deals with the ocean floors where the, the earthquakes and tsunamis actually begin and create these changes. So during the time of this lunar eclipse, which we're going to get to, which is the 28th of August, We have Uranus actually right at the midpoint, so the Earth will be shaking. We're going to have a lot of eclipse— I mean, a lot of earthquakes during this time period of August. Now, many times when you go to the eclipse path, this could be where the earthquakes are occurring. There's a lot of psychics, astrologers that keep talking about California. I think California is in for some shocking events. I don't think the earthquakes will be hitting California till after this time period, and what I'm referring to is probably October, November. But I will say this, there's going to be some shocking events happen, probably politically around the time of the midterms, November, in California. Mark my words with that. So that's something, uh, to look forward to. But for right now, we're going through one of the most transformational times ever historically with this eclipse season. And what's going to start heating up is as Mars gets into the sign of Gemini. And Mars will be in Gemini from August 2nd to September 18th. And when it goes into a particular nakshatra during this time, which is called Ardra, this will take place from August 12th through September 2nd. Ardra is smack dab in the middle of Gemini. Ardra is ruled by the storm god Rudra, and Rudra deals with exactly that— heavy, heavy storms. And therefore, what I am predicting during that window of time, an incredibly intense hurricane season. And violent storms with Mars being in Gemini and that nakshatra. So another thing is, is that Mars being in Gemini— well, the United States chart that I use has 4 planets in Gemini. Mars represents violence and anger and can deal with war. Will we ever find peace on planet Earth? Probably never. But, but certain things have to happen to bring more balance into being, and that is exactly what is occurring during this time. So this is a time of major events. And here's another thing that's going on during this time. We've been talking about the Kala Sarpa Yoga, where all the planets are on one side of Rahu and Ketu. Well, during this time, the kala sarpa yoga will actually be broken by August 1st. And kala sarpa means entrapment, basically. So we've been entrapped in certain karmas and events that are bound to happen and produce the effects of what is sort of like in the domino effect of what will transpire from these karmic events. And I believe all the karmic events that have been happening for the last at least 6 months when we've been in this Kala Sarpa Yoga are bringing a time of balance, but it has to be first uncovering all the, all the darkness that has been ever present but under the surface. Now it's surfacing, and now in order to have the peace, in order to have the prosperity, it has to come out. So there's going to be a major difficult period. I'm going to say August through November. Now let me go back to what I really think is, uh, important this month. And it is— I've been talking so much about August 22nd, and the number 22 is so relevant. As a matter of fact, July 22nd is when all the 3 outer planets lined up. Exactly in a sextile to one another— Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus. And then on July 22nd is when we had Jupiter come into this lineup from the sign of Capricorn to Cancer, each 10 degrees from one another. So Capricorn 10 degrees is where Pluto is. This is July 22nd. I know we've gotten past this, but this has been so unearthing, so deep, so profound. It's shifting the consciousness and awareness of the planet. So Pluto's 10 degrees of Capricorn— Capricorn's about government, and Pluto is major transformational changes. Neptune at 10 degrees of Pisces, which deals with uncovering all the illusions and what's been going on and the straits of the oceans and, and everything that deals with our connections, but uncovering secrets. Then we have Uranus at 10 degrees of Taurus, and And this is the uncovering of new technology and travel and everything to do with our connections to outer space. Then we have Jupiter on the 22nd of July. What happened was Jupiter activated all three of those outer planets. By it turning to 10 degrees of Cancer opposing Pluto, trining Neptune. Amazing spiritual deep awakening that has occurred. People are different now. People feel different right now. Don't you feel it? Don't you feel something different? Nothing's the same anymore. We can't get away with the illusions. We can't get away with the cheating, the lying. The spiritual, the spiritual truth is out there now, whether people want to accept it or not. It's an awakening because the 3 outer planets rule the collective unconsciousness of the world, of people, humanity. And there has been a huge light switch flipped on. Now you— everyone in some way is waking up and is aware. Some people won't like it, some people will resist it, but it's here and it's now. And because there are the forces of yin and yang, dark and light, negative, positive, always here— this is a world of duality— because of that, this big wake-up will turn on the negative forces to extinguish it because the light is getting brighter. Therefore, the forces of darkness become more active, but this is exactly what we need right now, and this is what's happening. So getting back to Ketu being 5 degrees of Leo throughout this eclipse period, on August 22nd The Sun will be 5 degrees of Leo lined up with Ketu on the fixed star Regulus. This means an incredibly difficult period for a world leader, whether it is an assassination attempt or something vile happening. This is like a very difficult time for world leaders. Just like on September 10th, 2025, the Sun aligned with Ketu on that day, and that was the day that Charlie Kirk was assassinated. It was not on the fixed star Regulus, it was at a much later degree of Leo that the Ketu Sun came together. Now they're together at the early degree of Leo, 5 degrees, but this time it's on Regulus, the star of kings and leaders. And this is a vile time, and something is definitely happening and brewing at this time. So watch out around August 22nd. Now going back to the eclipse period and the big wake-up, you know, every time I come into a period of eclipses, I feel different. Because what is an eclipse? An eclipse is where the light— there's a shadow and the light is extinguished for a time. And in the darkness, always something comes out from the past, always. And here is another thing, there is so much energy around dealing with the past because Ketu, as it is in the nakshatra Magha, which symbol is a throne. This is really powerful because Magha is the nakshatra that deals with our forefathers. It deals with things of the past. It deals with, well, really being guided and connected to from our heritage, those forefathers that were before us. And I believe during this time we are being connected to our forefathers and those that went before us. So Ketu will be in this nakshatra of Magha between now till November 25th. When Rahu and Ketu will shift out of Aquarius-Leo into Capricorn-Cancer. That will be an enormous shift, but until November 25th, we are being directed, we are being guided by our forefathers. Ask for guidance and you will receive it, because this is the time that everything is changing in the world in terms of leadership. This is for certain. And this month with the eclipses, we're going to see drastic things occur. So What I think Ketu in Leo and in Magha are all about are learning from the past, because Ketu does deal with the past, and it being in Leo deals with letting go with the old concepts of the way leaders would rule the world. Now, it's not going to be completely over the, the ways of the past during this time, but this is transformational, and things are changing. All the things that needed to be done are coming to completion now, through— now through November. So the next thing I want to talk about is the fact that Rahu just shifted into the nakshatra Dhanishta. Now it entered into Dhanishta June 30th, and it will be there till April 21st, 2027. So Rahu shifted from Shatabhishak to Dhanishta, and this nakshatra's symbol is a flute or a drum. In other words, This refers to a hollowed-out instrument. But both the drum and the flute, but particularly the drum, deal with timing. And this is important because there's something about timing that I think is vitally important, reflecting to major shifts in healing. And what I am coming up with, which is something that isn't out there per se yet, is that there's something about the beat and timing, this vibrational frequency of the beat, that will deal with cures to disease. It's all about vibration, frequency, in energy for healing. And this will come about and have some major discoveries along these lines. But another thing about the hollowed-out instrument is that people are feeling empty, they're feeling disconnected. And Dhanishta is one of the most difficult Nakshatras for marriage. And relationships have to be addressed and looked at in a whole different light— how we relate to one another, how we connect. Because with all of technology the way it is, we're being more and more disconnected. We don't come together in person as much. We use all those devices. This This is having a grave effect on relationships because we need connection in person, one-on-one, and this is getting more distant. In a way, technology is connecting us, but in another way, it's disconnecting us, and that's why we're feeling this emptiness with this nakshatra being prevalent. During this time. So Dhanishta is ruled by Mars, which makes it more aggressive and harsher, and it sits between, sidereally, Aquarius and Capricorn, 23 degrees 20 minutes of Capricorn through 6 degrees 40 minutes of Aquarius. And this is a time that we must listen more to our inner rhythm. This is really the foundation of healing. If we can listen to our inner rhythm, we can heal. This is so vitally important, and really what this will bring us is into understanding our wholeness and our knowingness of who we really are. That's what I think this nakshatra is here to deliver. So going back to the talk about the eclipses, which I think are so important because these Eclipses are amazing, and here is where I'm going with this, to the lunar eclipse that happens on the 28th. And this lunar eclipse is really to prepare us because looking at this lunar eclipse, it's going to happen at 10 degrees of Aquarius. And this is so important because this is going to happen exactly on the fixed star Fomulat. And Fomulat is one of the most powerful fixed stars. It's one of the four Four Royal Stars. And did you know that the Four Royal Stars were actually what the navigators used on the ships before technology? And Samhain began the winter season, and there are four royal stars that represent the seasons and for navigation that the that the ships used to use. And Fomulot brings on the winter. And here is what I love about the fixed stars, that they are actually— not the fixed stars, the 4 royal stars is what I meant to say— that they are ruled by the 4 archangels. Very spiritual reference here. Fomulot is ruled by Gabriel. And if you look at Aldebaran, which is in Taurus, which brings on the spring, it is ruled by Michael. Regulus is Raphael, which brings on the summer. And Antares is ruled by Ariel, which brings on the fall. They— and this is of course in the Northern Hemisphere. But this is what— these are the archangels that are relative. Now, talking about Fomulot, 10 degrees of Aquarius, this is actually— this full moon, this lunar eclipse, which remember is a full moon, is going to be in the nakshatra Shatabhishak. So Rahu and Ketu are not exactly on the full moon or the new moon, so they're in different signs. But here is what, uh, this nakshatra deals with: the sky watcher, space, what's out there, the alien life, our connection to alien life. This brings it all together. This has been happening throughout the this year and will continue on for the next year. But it is definite, it's here and it's happening. Uh, and what I want you to know about that star, Fámula, it deals with the spiritual essence within. And what I keep telling everyone, this is a time of spiritual spiritual awakening. That exact degree of 10 Aquarius is so powerful. Fámulat. Think about this star and how its reference will bring out the spiritual side within. And also talking about where Rahu is when it's transiting away from where the moon is, the full moon, which is going to be in, in Shatabhishak. But Rahu is in Dhanishta, meaning that search and filling that emptiness from within. Now another thing is from all of this energy and what we're feeling around the time of this eclipse and after the Great Awakening of July 22nd. We all feel different. We've all gone through this transition. Have you been having very vivid dreams lately? Of course you have, if you can remember them. It's very important that we remember our dreams. Dreams are when we connect to the other side. We're more like when we're on the other side in our dream state, and it's when you connect to your subconscious mind, which knows everything. And in our dreams, we will be having more contact with those on the other side in the spirit world, those that have passed on, our loved ones. They are guiding us, they are preparing us through the dream state. This is what I want you to know. This has been going on this entire month of July, August, and August is where you're going to feel it the most. So The lunar eclipse— remember, eclipses have so much to do with earthquakes. And this, this one is really interesting because where Rahu and Ketu are— well, they have moved on— but where the Sun and the Moon oppose each other from 10 degrees of Aquarius is where the, the, the, the lunar eclipse is, the full moon, 10 degrees of Aquarius opposed 10 degrees of Leo. But Uranus is going to be sitting around 10 degrees of Taurus. So what, what we're looking at is a T-square with Uranus at the midpoint. Uranus rules earthquakes. That's what's so interesting. And it was when Uranus was at the midpoint of Rahu and Ketu when the earthquake happened in Venezuela. So we're not finished with this earthquake cycle. There is more to come. Now what I do want you to know is I don't give these readings to create fear. I give these readings to create power of understanding who you are and why you're here. And you are here during one of the most powerful times on Earth. Everything happens for a reason. You wouldn't be here now if it wasn't for a specific purpose. And through the power of the mind, through the power of our will, through our higher consciousness, we are here to help others evolve. That's what's happening during this time. We all came here to evolve together for the evolution of humanity. This is incredible. And so what I want you to know is through the help of our forefathers, through the help of— through our dreams, through the help of understanding why you're here right now. It is not a time to be fearful, because if you're not fearful, there's nothing to be afraid of. You will be fine. But those that live in fear will attract fearful events. And living in fear is not living. Live wholeheartedly. Love everything. Help everyone evolve along with you. Open the door to this higher consciousness and what is happening, and you will be doing exactly your purpose and your mission for this time on Earth. This is a very exciting time to be alive, and you're here for a specific purpose, as I've been saying, to help evolve out of the old into the new, into a period of higher consciousness. And with this, you will be bringing joy and happiness to others, to recognize what is truly this world is about right now.
